Subject: Urgent Complaint Regarding Employee Misconduct - Chevron 44th St & McDowell, Phoenix AZ…read more Dear Chevron Human Resources, I am writing to formally report an upsetting and inappropriate interaction I experienced at your Chevron location on 44th Street and McDowell in Phoenix, Arizona, in the early morning hours of October 15th, around 4:00-4:15 AM. I have visited this station several times before and always had positive experiences with a courteous clerk. However, this most recent visit was extremely distressing and left me feeling humiliated and unsafe. While preparing a drink (using several cans of a Boba beverage I intended to pay for), the first cup I used cracked and began leaking. I immediately began cleaning up the spill myself to avoid creating a mess for staff or other customers. I disposed of the damaged cup and empty cans in the nearby trash to stay tidy. Before I could explain what happened or bring my items to the register to pay, a female employee (shorter, heavier-set, white woman) began yelling at me aggressively, accusing me of stealing. Then, a male employee (taller, dark-skinned man) joined in and also shouted at me, claiming I was trying to get away with not paying. I repeatedly tried to explain the situation -- that I was cleaning up and intended to pay for the drinks -- but both employees continued to interrupt me, raise their voices, and ultimately told me to leave and never return. I was shocked and embarrassed. I have never been accused of theft in my life. I also felt unsafe, especially given that this occurred late at night and I was alone. Their tone and approach were completely unprofessional, unnecessarily hostile, and discriminatory in nature. For context, I have worked in the service industry myself for years and fully understand how to communicate respectfully with customers -- even during confusion or mistakes. What I experienced at your store was unacceptable and far below Chevron's standards of professionalism. I am requesting that this incident be formally reviewed, including security footage from approximately 4:00-4:20 AM at that location, and that appropriate disciplinary or retraining measures be taken with both employees. I am happy to provide additional details or connect you with a witness who observed much of the incident outside the store. I am seeking a formal apology and confirmation that Chevron will take steps to ensure no other customer is treated this way. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I guess omw out of the facility is when I pulled the ticket, and I panicked because there was no other way out and there were already 3 cars behind me. I was trapped so I had no choice but to pay twice my reservation cost, around $64 to get out. My second time, I read the email thoroughly and upon reading the response to my initial review from management, that is definitely what happened. Now I know better!! I do like this service as the shuttles come and go it seems every 5 minutes. Once I get to the curb at the airport, a shuttle usually just pulls right up. I don't have to text anyone or wait forever like I've had to do with other shuttles. My car is secured in their outdoor lot where most spots are actually covered, and the walk from the shuttle to my car is very short. The property is well lit and the office usually has an employee at the desk in the lobby area. Be sure to scan that email QR code upon entering and exiting so you don't make the same mistake I did! I emailed them but did not get a partial refund. Oh well.

Disappointing: Hidden fees and poor customer service at Preflight…read more I went to look at a car at Carzi and had no idea it was located inside Preflight's parking ramp. When I called Carzi to ask where they were, I was told to enter the Preflight ramp and I would see them. No one suggested parking elsewhere, and they said they would validate my parking. I pulled a ticket, intending only to look at a car. At the second gate, the intercom was so staticky I could barely understand it. Two gates later, I finally found Carzi. There was nowhere to park, so I double parked and went inside, where I was told I would have to wait because they were too busy to help me. I left without seeing the car and without a validated ticket. I was there for only 8 minutes, yet when I went to exit, I was charged $13.50. When I called and explained the situation to Preflight's customer service, they were abrupt, told me "it's a parking ramp, you have to pay, have a nice day" and cut me off. I wrote to the manager and was told I should have parked outside. I came to buy a car, had no idea whether outside parking even existed, and was never told about the fee. I would have been open to paying a small fee, maybe $5, but $13.50 for 8 minutes is excessive. There was no signage, no posted rates, and no warning. I also have to wonder whether Preflight is zoned to allow an auto dealership to operate on its property, and whether customers of that dealership are expected to pay a daily parking fee just to visit. Corporate contact information is also difficult to find. Hard pass on Preflight.

Surprisingly there was almost nobody around this area hence the gas price was 42¢/gallon higher than Easy Valley average. We overpay because we don't like to be around gas customers who don't have a mask on and/or don't social distance; particularly from the coronavirus issue.
