It was heavenly. 12+ years later, the menu only said "fish" poboy sandwich. If you're a catfish purist like myself, that's a red flag, so I went with the fried chicken. My wife ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich despite the geographical incongruity. Both were outstanding, and I can't recommend the kitchen enough.

Nor the clever product place of little bags of chips and chex mix for $3 in drawers next to my FREAKIN BED! So the way I HAVE to combat this during my stay here is get inexpensive munchie and beverage options to COMBAT temptation in my own room. MUNCHIES GALORE They had all sorts of cool stuff, but I settle on a big bag of ruffles for $4. The BEST deals here, however, were on my Diet Pepsi - I got 3 2LTR bottles for only $4 as well! Will I be able to finish them over the 4 day-stay? MAYBE. But that wasn't the point. Compare that to the little cans of soda and bottles of tea in hotels and other hotel stores ranging upward to $2-$3 themselves. So I'm ready for when I'm thirsty, and for when I get a mid-night attack for something crunchy and salty. And it won't cost me an arm and a leg in room service charges. They left an impression this last hurricane season by personally directing traffic to keep it moving efficiently and stopping people from cutting. They do offer a few good treats and cheap coffee for being a smaller gas station. They do not allow loitering so there is no panhandling or people hanging outside which I appreciate as a young woman.

Because it is one of the few stations in the area, and it is conveniently located. I guess there isn't much else to say, but what good would a two sentence review be? There is a small convenience store attached to this station. It has the typical items, but the real reason I come is to get gas. I've found it easiest to enter this station when traveling down Magazine in an Uptown direction, but entering from Jackson works well too. If you're in the area and need gas, check out this Shell.
