I stopped in top gas up this big rental suburban we use for our field location work with my crew. Manteca mean "lard" in Spanish ... guess I thought I'd throw that in there ... like a city of lard! Anyhow, Costco Gas usually has the cheapest gas around, though there's not much cheap gas around, especially when the vehicle you're driving gets like 12-14 mpg! I like the hoses here at Costco, cause they're long and can stretch to either side of the vehicle, just watch the traffic trying to squeeze through to get out or to the unoccupied pumps, if you're on the far side filling up. I'm glad this isn't Oregon, where they have attendants that fill you vehicle. The card readers read super reliable and fast, not like some of those no name cheap places where you think your card might get skimmed on the pump or something. All gassed up and ready to go! Now it's time for lunch!

I know the Bay Area East Bay Costco have a lot more Asian food stuff you don't see at more rural Costco, like the one on Redding where I live. The store is organized and sort of laid out like most Costco's with the meat and produce and paper products all the way in the back. As for inside the store, it definitely needs focus on cleaning, the bathroom is very dirty, the coffee area was messy, coffee old, and workers seem unhappy to be there. Maybe it was too early.
