DO NOT GO HERE ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. Just had to rush out of this gas station in the middle of the night. My girlfriend needed to use this restroom because this was the only open gas station in the area. There was nobody else in the store and the only worker (a male) was on their phone at the front register. As soon as she went into the women's restroom, he walked near the men's restroom and started to walk INSIDE the women's restroom. This is especially scary because my girlfriend said the front door to the women's restroom was propped open considering the men's restroom was shut, one of the stalls was missing a door and the only other stall had a broken/missing lock where you could see inside the stall. He only left the restroom when he turned and noticed me watching him. He proceeded to "check" their freezer, returned to the register and we quickly left. read more

We really needed some gas. Lucky for us this place had just what we needed, gas! Filled up our tank with a whole bunch of gas and even left some gas for the next person that needs some gas. Would highly recommend coming here for some gas if you need gas! read more

Not bad mostly cleans and a decent selection of snack/drinks. Be aware of the entrance ramp. It is short and if you are towing got to plan ahead. Rough road. read more

please i advise you not to visit this place ESPECIALLY at night. me and my two other friends ended up getting a flat at midnight a little before this gas station. we ended up temporarily fixing it, and had to go to this gas station because it's the only one until you reach van horn. when we arrived we got gas and this white car with two men pulled up and we assumed they were getting gas as well. we pulled into a parking place in front of the store because we needed duct tape for the bumper, as my other friend goes in the store the white car pulls up right next to us. my other friend comes out and starts fixing the bumper and the guy in the white car ends up getting out of his car and standing behind my friend inching closer and just watching her, we were extremely uncomfortable and alarmed so we all got in the car and zoomed off. i strongly recommend you never visit this place, it's eerie and is giving very much kidnapping vibes. read more

It's not the gas station you want, it's the station you need. We were in a pickle and needed gas and a bathroom at 1am. I read the reviews and thought how different could it be? The descriptions were pretty damn accurate. We actually laughed at how accurate. No fancy marketing material, but the basics were there and orderly, almost too neat. Like everything has its place neat. I could totally see this location in a horror film. Would come back :-) read more

Normal gas station. I can't speak for what it would be like at night, but I had no problems. The bathrooms (male and female) were clean. The cashier was nice. Everything you would expect from a gas station + a nice view. read more

Very clean bathrooms. I actually complimented the nice lady behind the counter on them. I am glad I was almost out of gas and had no choice but to stop here. And I am glad I read the other reviews AFTER I stopped here for gas. I likely wouldn't have stopped if I had read them even though they were over a year old. The place does look like something out of a teen slasher movie! Ha! And it's even pretty empty inside. I mean they had a cooler of sodas and a few road trip snack items. This is not a travel stop. Stopped here while on a roadtrip. Had a fine, typical gas station experience and bought 2 bottles of water without any problems. We did not have the same experiences as other reviewers, but we did get a kick out of reading the reviews during our drive. read more

WARNING!!! I was here at 1:45 in the morning due to the fact that I am traveling from Florida for work, and when I tell you this experience was EERY, it WAS! I strongly advise you if you are a female and alone, do not come to this gas station. I am a man and I was scared shitless. With that being said, I decided to visit this gas station because I obviously needed gas and there wasn't another one for countless miles. As I pulled up it was pitch black, no light for miles except for the one inside the store itself, no lights on around the pump whatsoever. That was extremely weird but i really needed gas. For our job we needed a receipt as proof of purchase, therefore we had to go inside the store. As we walk the presence we felt was unbelievably creepy, barely any light and no workers present. With we took advantage and used the bathroom and as we come out there's an attendant, we then asked him for our receipt and he was surprisingly polite. We then start to walk out but we saw these hats that we liked and felt as though we should buy it as a memory from Texas, after grabbing the hats we had to get the attention of the attendant once again ... the same one that handed us our receipt, and he was a completely different person. The look he gave us, was nerve wracking and now he limited with his words. He was a completely different person, it was like night and day COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSON! Being spooked out we were getting ready to check the hats out and all of a sudden a phone rings. This was some real horror movie shit, hills have eyes chainsaw massacre SAW movie shit. The worker then picked up the phone and repeated the same phrase 3 times to whoever he was speaking to. After we got our hats from him , we zoomed out of that gas station it's true that ignorance is bliss because we didn't read any of the reviews until we left this gas station. read more

So my mother and i just stopped because we had to go to the bathroom. the bathrooms were disgusting and looks like someone chewed on the door. pee all over the floor i'm surprised they had soap in the dispenser. probably have a disease from using the bathroom there. but wait, THERES MORE !! as we were about to leave the bathroom to purchase some drinks, we heard a man yell "HANDS UP MOTHER FER" and we froze. we saw there was no one in sight so we bolted to the door and the man behind the counter looked so calm while he was trying to call the police (i hope). i wish i was joking when i say a robbery was happening in the men's room. i don't think we've ever drove away so fast before. pls don't go here read more

I can't thank enough the man and woman at this Chevron station on exit 181 I10 East in Texas. I was traveling through on the afternoon of November 25, 2022, with my camper when I ran into a snow storm. After fishtailing for a couple of miles I drove up into here and asked if I could stay the night in my camper. They both said yes, of course and added that I would be safe. I did stay and felt safe. The pumps were busy all night and a couple of big rigs also parked there. Kind people in a hard situation. Thank you again! read more

The female junky working the cash register was high as a kite and took 6-7 minutes to ring up a bottle of soda. Not even joking. She kept darting from the register to the scanner to the bottle to her calculator and back. The phone rang and she had no idea what to do. A gas purchasing customer came in for change and she had no idea what to do and was about to start that project until she finally mustered up the shreds of whatever attention span she had to finally ring me up. Total was $2.05. I paid with a $5 and a dime, she gave me $2.05 back. She had absolutely no idea what she did wrong. I wish I was joking. Knowing it would take about 30 minutes to explain it to her, I walked out with my THREE DOLLAR bottle of coke ($1.89). The bathrooms were disgusting. Wasn't even worth stopping here. Save your time, money, and sanity and go elsewhere. read more

Was traveling through west Texas back in October at 5 in the morning and me and my friend had to use the bathroom desperately and this was the only place open for miles, so we stopped. When we first pulled up we had seen a car parked in the parking lot but saw no one inside or around. We checked to see if the store door was open and it was. We went inside used the bathroom and went to get a drink. I looked over at my friend about to approach the drink cooler and we still didn't see anyone working so we called out a few times hoping someone would come from the back but no one did. I looked over at her and said something doesn't feel right. We stood there for a few seconds longer looking at each other and rushed out immediately. I checked my car for anything usual and then got it and zipped off as fast as possible. THIS REMINDED ME OFF SOMETHING OUT OF A CHAINSAW MASSACRE MOVIE. alone with no one for miles . This place is disturbing. Stopped on July 4 to use restroom. I walked out of bathroom and heard a guy yelling so I turned around to see the guy working there yelling at ME and how rude I was for going to the bathroom because he said the floor was wet. It did smell like a disgusting dirty mop but the floor was not wet. This employee proceeds to have a temper tantrum yelling at me while customers are in the store and a family walking in with a young boy. I was appalled at his behavior and knowing nothing appropriate was going to come out of my mouth once I opened it I just turned and walked out the door. I was parked on the side of the building and when I got to my car, the mentally imbalanced, older, short guy with long dirty blond hair actually followed and was still going off looking at me. Frightened at this point and traveling alone I left. Seriously Chevron, do you not background check your employees? It's bad enough that the bathrooms are gross, the store is dirty but then you have an employee behaving like this insulting your customers!! read more
