What brought me to write this review, was from my review experience with Arco (across the street- date 4-6-26). I was on my way home from helping my dad on a rental, and gut feeling told me to go to Chevron/Terrible's for the fountain drink, but I was already 2 lanes over, and thought I'll just go to Arco. Well guess what, long story short I should have just followed my gut feeling. Arco doors were both locked, lights off, no sign on the door, Nada! So I got in my car and went back across the street to Chevron. Now I love Chevron, gas is a little higher, yes, BUT I always have had Excellent experience coming in be every clerk, and I was greeted by a man at the register and a woman who was stocking, greeted me with a smile. Store was clean, I wasn't expecting to get a snack but I did, along with my drink. So please if Corporate see this please acknowledge the I think it was a Philippeno woman and a white gentleman about 5'6 with light brown hair on 4/6/2026 around 6-6:45 pm, because staff here have always been friendly (actually at every Terrible's I have been to Gas station/corner store). Esright now with this economy please appreciate your team members for there work. I have gone to other stations and a Store clerk came and checked on me because I guess I looked like I wasn't okay (which is was, is was just on the phone), but your team always goes above and beyond for their customers. I recently stopped in for a carwash because I learned that this location cleans the inside of the car as well. I wish I had known about this sooner! There are several different options for exterior wash, all include cleaning inside the car. The car is first put through a carwash and then someone will hand dry the car and clean the inside. The outside was really clean and the inside was decent. It's definitely not the same as getting a detail, but good enough for the price. I keep a pretty clean car and I still had to dust a bit more at home. Both employees I interacted with were friendly. My only suggestion for improvement would be more signage at the entrance of the wash. As a first timer I had no idea how it worked and none of the employees were directing customers. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to go inside to pay or just pull in which created an awkward start to the process for me. read more

I have an unlimited car wash pass and I've been coming here to get my car washed. With the unlimited plan you get the basic $17 wash (which includes a hand wash), and you can upgrade if you wish from there. I've never upgraded, but the basic watch seems fine enough for me. I've brought in a fairly dirty car from time to time. No matter how long the lines look, it's usually about 30 minutes. They do a good job, of course it depends on who you get. There is a nice lobby you can wait in while the car is getting washed, although if you stay inside the air conditioning it can be hard to see when your car is finished. You can sit outside, but on a hot day that's kind of a hassle. You can also kill some time playing the video poker machines (with free self-serve soda). I usually lose money, but it's something to do. Of course, if you get wrapped up in a game you may miss the car being pulled out. read more

Normally I would just get an Exterior wash and Vacuum the car myself but I didn't have time near my place. So I had seen lots of good reviews. Excellent service! There are so many places to get your car washed here, and so many different types. This one is kindof in between a detailing, and a regular drive through. You pull up, and leave your car with an attendant. They then vacuum your car for you, and take it through the wash. After the wash, they dry it by hand, and wash the interior windows. The whole service took about 15-20 minutes, and I was very pleased with the outcome and price. There is a comfortable waiting room and an adjacent gas station for snacks and bathrooms. read more

I got the $17 car wash which includes interior and exterior cleaning. For the exterior the car goes through an automatic car wash. Then a service person uses a close to wipe it down. I shudder to think how many months it's been since my last car wash. Overall it was ok. The car wash damaged my windshield. But it happens. Overall ok job. Not fabulous or horrible. Luckily, I live around here bc I've gone to other Terrible's Detail Car Wash and this one is my favorite. They're always friendly and do a good job (for $20). I love the location bc there is a Burger King next door, Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, sub sandwich place, Del Taco, and Arby's across the street ...also pizza by the slice at a gas station across the street. There is also an inside and outside waiting area. Always looks clean. On this perfect October day I decided to grab a Dairy Queen dipped cone while I waited for my car to be cleaned. What Moron decided to make a full service car wash into a drive through with no expertise in running a car wash. I drove my car through it after finding out today that it is no longer a full service, and two young kids taped with masking tape my rear windshield wiper to the window and the car. I now have masking tape I can not get off with soap and water on my car (I'm afraid to try "goo gone" because of the paint. I tipped them 10 dollars to make sure all the dirt was off (I just got back from a two week road trip) and I need to redo the sub standard wash. The 14 dollars charged is not worth it. Horrible experience. My jeep still had mud all over it after coming to the drying area. I POINTED this out to the attendant and asked to have it put back through the wash. He continued to dry it rubbing the mud around and off. Im sure ill have paint scratches once I can see it in the light. The Lexus behind me also came out covered in muddy water spots. They just wiped the spots around with a wet towel. Never again. I wonder how many people got their paint scratched today. Just now got home and noticed a scratch on my uv blue windshield tint. They scratched my car up and gave me attitude when i told them about it... I got their car wash service. I filled up with gas after the wash and it was than I saw their handy work. My bumper has huge chunks and scratches all over it. I asked for the manager. He walked up and started being defensive right away (before even looking at the car or even talking to me). He glanced at my bumper for .25 seconds before saying it was impossible for his car wash to cause that. I wasn't even asking for a refund i was asking him to check his machine because there is something wrong. He said he WOULD NOT check his machine because it wasn't the machines fault. Attitude the whole time and didn't even check his machine that is scratching up cars. Got home and did a walk around and saw even more scratches on the passenger side of the car. I paid for the $26 wash and get home to find the interior of my truck hadn't even been wiped down at all. Very disappointed as we live right down the street and always get our vehicles washed and this is not the first time. Last time the wash broke and they tried to give my vehicle back as if it was washed when it clearly had soap marks all over. You are losing clients with this poor service. I returned after just washing my car a week prior due to a family member spilling a massive amount of coffee on the car! At first I was skeptical because there were about ten people in the front drying . But I gave them the keys and within 28 minutes (yeah, I was curious) they had my dirty car in and out looking spotless ! I came back to this location and they happily took care of me and promised me that they will get the eggs off my car. For those Vegas locals who rarely if ever venture out of the Las Vegas Valley, chances are you think Terrible's is great. But if you've ever been to Phoenix, Dallas, Kansas City, or Atlanta and been inside a QuikTrip location...well you know that any Terrible's location lives up to it's name. And this location...certainly carries the corporate name well. Getting in to the pumps and especially back out onto Pecos can be tight. Inside every time I've walked in the doors I found the place to be dirty. And cluttered. Can they find more stuff to line the counters with? Top it off with service that ranges from oh it's you again to OMG, I really wish I could be working anywhere else and you get a classic Terrible experience. Oh and the bathrooms? Maybe if you're having a kaopectate moment and desperation forces the issue. Bring lots and lots of hand sanitizer. Don't say you haven't been warned. Your best bet here: Pay at the pump, then scram. Every time I've gone here it was packed, but the wait time is not bad at all. They have plenty of employees to handle all the clients they have that need their cars detailed. just now If I could give zero stars I would. I have being going to the Terribles in Southern Highlands for years with no issues and the car coming out looking amazing. I was working in the green valley area so I stopped by after work. The car came out looking ok, i didnt walk around the car before I left the parking lot as the guy had left towels on the hood of the car and had pulled the car into the gas pump area so I was distracted. I got home and realized part of the front fender was sticking out and there were scratches and two pressure cracks in the front bumper. I immediately went back to talk to the managerand he told me he would watch the video and contact me in the morning. I never heard so I emailed corporate and had to deal with someone via email named Rebecca as there is no phone number listed for corporate. I asked them to release the footage of the car to me or allow me to come watch the footage as they claim "there was no incident on the property". I asked repeatedly just to see even a still shot of the car before going into the wash and they wouldnt release it staing " you need a police report or it can be released to you insurance." I just dont understand why they cant tell me with no doubt the damage was CLEARLY visible before handing over the keys and show me the proof! Never go to this location!! So disappointed in Terribles complete lack of customer service. I have filed a police report but who knows how long that will take. read more

Arrived at this location, conveniently near my home, around 3:15PM on a weekday to ideally get both a Smog Check for DMV as well as an oil change. I'd confirmed that this branch did do Smog Checks. Pulled around back and briefly spoke with a manager type, who told me to go ahead & pull up just outside Bay #2. There are three service bays. Both 1 & 2 had cars in them being serviced, Bay 1 also had a car waiting outside it, and Bay 3 was filled with misc stuff -- stacks of oil containers, etc. & clearly out of service, unfortunately. So I sat with my engine running, next in-line for Bay 2. Several technicians were scurrying around, and it looked like there were a couple manager-types there (nicer shirts). I was often 10 feet or less from them as I patiently sat in my car. No one made contact with me, but that was OK -- I was in-line waiting. Finally after about 10 minutes of sitting there in my car, a manager takes the time to walk the 8' over to say hi & ask me what I was interested in having done. I advise I'm there for both an oil change, and a Smog Check, and he informs me that the Smoke Check system is "down for a couple weeks, because of the State" (of Nevada, somehow), but that they'd be happy to do the oil change. I was eager to get both done in one fell swoop and knew there were lots of other places around that should be able to do both, so despite being rather annoyed that I'd sat there in the car for at-least 10 minutes before someone made contact with me & informed me they couldn't do smog checks, I politely told him that I was going to find a place that could do both, and I left. Not impressive customer service. It's not like the two manager-types there were both busy doing oil changes, etc. One could & should have approached me sooner. I know Terrible-Herbst is a local corporation & does cool stuff like desert racing, etc. but based on this experience (and another at a different branch), I now know to AVOID the company. read more

They vacuumed lightly but missed all the dog hair in the back and they didn't even move the driver or passenger seat back to get all the dirt, food, crap that fell between the seats. I got the monthly car wash service and have visited three locations. 1) Rainbow & 95; 2) Flamingo & Arville and 3) Pecos & Windmill (subject review/location) I must say this location, so far, has the best car wash of the three. I know what you're thinking, it's just a car wash, but it's really more than that. Not all car washes are created equal. Let's talk con first. The lines here on the weekend are always long, and I mean, long. You can easily expect 6-8 cars in front of you; on both lanes! With that said, the total time I was there, from waiting with 8 cars in front of me to getting into my car, it took one hour. But don't let that deter you from getting your car wash here! The men here who wash the cars to drying the cars are really good, much better than the other two locations. You won't be disappointed. Disclaimer: I used to have my car washed with a mobile car wash guy and I must admit the mobile ones are usually much more detailed than Terrible's. But, you get what you pay for! With the most expensive unlimited plan, $50 a month will only buy you a maximum of two mobile car washes. Give it a try! read more

Sent this email on Sunday to their website "contact us" submission but never received a response all week. Guess they just don't care. "Today 4/13/19 at 3:31pm PST I pulled up to my nearest terrible Herbst and received the absolute worse service I have had in a long time. To be fair I've had a bad car wash here before and never tried again but I figured getting snacks and gas wouldn't be so bad. I was wrong. The Woman cashier was FaceTiming someone the entire time I was in Line (about 4 people were ahead of me who she was not talking too at all she was talking to the person on FaceTime) and when I came up talking about how she may take the position and would be waiting her child's daycare to a 24 hour daycare facility since it would be a different shift. I got this all while trying to prepay for my gas. I asked if I could use part cash and part card to pay which I've never had a problem with before at other places but she told me she couldn't do that. Then I came out to use my fuel points because I had 0.10 cents off and it wasn't letting me enter my number, there wasn't an option to at all. I had entered my number before walking in and confirmed I had 0.10 cents off but it took me over 10 minutes to pay and listen to her FaceTiming so it was gone when I came out. I tried to hit call attendant but no surprise she didn't answer. My husband went in and asked her what to do and she said oh no there's no way for me to add it. And he said you can't just cancel it and redo it? And she Goes oh no you can just use it next time. Well no this was a 37 gallon tank and I wanted to use it now but she wouldn't refund our money! It was a debit card. So I had no choice and didn't get my full tank of gas as I should. This is completely unacceptable and really puts the terrible in your name. Transaction number was 6689 op I'd was 226074. It said her name is Guadalupe on the receipt but to confirm it was mid 20's woman working and we were on number 10 and paid $85. Cold fountain drinks and a car wash. This spot delivers one of the best washes in the area. They could use a bit of quality control. When there doing good their doing great, but on the flip side they have missed some "spots" in the past. Like today i asked them to specifically vacuum the truck and they totally missed it. The staff inside of the Gas station are nice and friendly. The car wash dudes are ok. If they cleaned the waiting room and outside rest area up a bit then i would easily give them a 4th star. read more
