At every other arco when you pay with a debit card they give you the cash price, at this station they try to trick you into using the debit card like a credit card so they can charge you more. If you press debit and insert your card it won't read the card on the first try. Just leave it in there and pick debit again and it will finally give you the cash price. It's a shady practice by the station and Arco should definitely look into it. If you pull the card and try using the tap to pay it will give you the credit card price.

I made my way to Arco. I expected that perhaps Sam would take a look at my car on Monday but he asked me to drive it into one of the bays where he immediately checked out what was going on. He then took it for a brief test drive and immediately knew what the problem was. He said he would fix it on the same day. I couldn't believe it! Any other place would've kept it at least through Monday or Tuesday or perhaps even longer before they ever got around to it. But, a few hours later my spark plugs and my ignition coil had been changed and all done for a very reasonable price. Unbelievable! You really don't find mechanics with this kind of business ethic any longer. Great service. Great price. Highly recommended.

Almost all of the staff is nice, especially the women, but my favorite staff member is Rolando. He's been working there for a long time and he always remembers me, remembers the kind of work I do and asks how I am. He's always very nice to customers and patient, even with the tweakers. When they come in tripping, he's still kind and patient with them, which says a lot. They tend to have pretty good sales on all the snacks inside, like king sized candy 2/$6.00 and Celsius energy drinks, buy two get one free and they're originally 2/$7.00. They also put different snacks on a cart by the register each day, that have an even better sale going on. Today they had beef jerky sticks on sale. On top of this, you can also sign up for Mobil rewards, which gets you extra money off of gas and they also give you a $.10 off per gallon discount card that you can add on top of whatever else you may be saving. The $.10 off discount card is good for about six months and is very helpful in saving money at the pump. They're accepted at all Mobil Circle K's and they freely give them out at the register. Just ask! They'll also give you some to give others. The only downside I've found is when you stop in to get gas, but the door is locked. They're usually on a quick bathroom break or a regular break. You can still get gas outside at the pump, if you don't want to wait. Otherwise you can wait for them to open the door. I don't get upset about their breaks, because it only happens when someone is alone in there and plus, they're entitled to take a break, damn. I've seen some people get all mad and I look at them like they're stupid...like don't you take a break at work, especially if you're on your feet all day?

Update review: 05-19-2024…read more So this morning, on my way to Home Depot to buy some plants for my house and I needed some gas but I wanted to wait until I get to the Chevron gas station after I finish with Home Depot. I pulled into the gas station, and it looked very clean and well maintained. Pump 91 into my car and had no issues, and I used the app to save $2.20 that is a great deal since everything is so expensive. I am sitting here reading these reviews about this station and I am laughing at them. People really stop lying about oh my credit card was used by the station or they charge me the wrong fuel. There is no way that they can charge you the wrong fuel unless you tap the button and it is impossible that the pump will charge you more. Chevron- I understand the prices, labor hikes, and the inflation going up your doing but maybe have a Sunday special gas deals like other stations that would drive more business your way. Anyways, thank you for being a part of the Rancho Palos Verdes area and see you soon again. FYI, thank you for the App, it is awesome

I took her new membership card to the pharmacy, and the pharmacist updated her file. My time in the store to complete this task was less than 10 minutes. 1-star for the CVS telephone system ... Before going to the store, I made five separate attempts to call the pharmacy. The "CVS automated phone assistant" repeatedly put me through a tedious telephone tree and then refused to connect my call. "Why is the digital assistant gatekeeping?" The new prescription drug plan provider is encouraging my mom to allow them to fulfil her RX via mail. CVS had better not alienate or frustrate its customers, or it might share the same fate as Rite-Aid.
