I got closer to the coffee dispensers and then I saw the clerk over there smacking flies with a fly swatter, all over the counter with the coffee dispensers on it. He was smacking the flies and not even cleaning them off the counter, let alone the remnants he was leaving all over the coffee pumps. FRIGGING DISGUSTING.

When the attendant finished up ask me if I want a receipt and after I stated no, turn the key and with terror in my face noticed the gas gauge went all the way to full. Immediately check my bank account to discover an overdraft. This guy filled up my tank!!! When I asked him he just said "I'm sorry, it was my mistake". That's it? What a way to obligate to pay for a non requested item and now I will have to pay $35 in overdraft fees just because an attendance don't pay attention on his job. I'm sure that there is anything that I can do because I will use the gas in the future time but this guy put me in a so bad position because I'm loosing money now. The gas station is open 24 hours, which is amazing at times and a life saver. I typically forget to stop and get gas when I'm leaving Portland and so I have to stop in either Albany or Corvallis for it. The employees have always been friendly, the bathrooms clean, and the product selection in the store is pretty decent. It's the average convenient store, but it works. I rarely buy things from the store. I stop for gas, to use the bathroom, or visit A&W. But when I need anything, the store is there and that makes it nice. Would I return? Yep, I have no complaints. It's a great location, just off the freeway, and it's just a good place to stop and stretch when I'm on the last leg of a drive home. Review 158 of 2017.

She immediately removed the card and said, "you should have asked me before I put your card in. Now I have to reset this and it's going to take several minutes! Is that what you want?" She said, well it's going to take a few minutes to reset the system, picks up the handle and slams it into the cradle and walks off. To my delight (yes I said delight), she huffs and says you have ZERO points. what can I say? If that's all I can get out of how rude she was, I will take it. She went on to tell me how points don't roll over like phone plans... If you can get gas elsewhere, I would suggest driving past this Chevron; Unless of course, you don't mind the attitude. I was afraid at first due to the reviews, but this place is way better than stopping at your regular rest stops in the side of the road. Bathrooms are way cleaner than rest stops, if you need snacks or drinks they have it all. There's even souvenir shopping if that's your jam. One of my traveling buddies was so impressed it was her first time to experience a travel center vs. rest stop. I assured her there are more like it and even larger. They were doing some construction outside but it didn't bother us.

The guy who manned the pumps was fairly friendly and was used to people from other areas who were not used to the process. He was reasonably efficient and kept up a conversation about it while he filled up my car. I appreciated his help. On the whole, though, this strikes me as appallingly stupid. It is reason #1 that I would not live in Oregon. Why not extend this to restaurants as well - hire some additional people who cut up and feed you your food. That makes equally as much sense... I appreciated this station even more later in our trip, when another station attendant, managed to pull the nozzle out early (for whatever reason), spill gas all over the cement, and then require me to do a 2nd credit card authorization to complete the fill-up (prior to returning the rental car the following morning). I'm not the sharpest guy on the planet, but I do not recall having done this maneuver. If you have to visit Oregon, just be prepared for this. The man-boys (teenagers?) are super attentitve and always wash my window. They kind of trot over to my car as soon as I pull up. Now that is service!
