The owner was extremely nice and helpful, helped me a lot as I was unfamiliar with the store footprint. If you are going for the restaurant, be aware it no longer exists, having closed during covid and never reopened. A disappointment for me as I was looking to try it out. I do plan to visit again. On this trip I stopped into Washington Street Liquors in Corvallis. Oregon is a control state, so selections can sometimes be predictable, but this shop had a few bottles that definitely caught my eye. Prices were right around market, maybe slightly into secondary territory on a couple bottles, but nothing outrageous for something harder to find. What stood out most was the staff. Friendly, easy to talk with, and happy to share a little insight into the local bourbon scene. That kind of conversation is always appreciated when you are visiting from out of town and trying to figure out where the good hunting spots might be. The hunt paid off. I ended up walking out with a bottle of Frey Ranch Straight Bourbon, a solid pickup and one I had been hoping to find for a while. If you are in Corvallis and enjoy the bourbon hunt, this shop is worth a stop. You never know what might be sitting on the shelf waiting for you.

This was one of my favorite stores in the middle of no where when you are young. Through out the years I have found myself back here just for the jerky, or a drink of water, or soda while on the back roads. The store is truly one of the neatest places, it still has old wooden flooring that really date the building. They have a room that has a pool table, and also probably one of the only places you can still rent DVD videos likes a video store. I sort of miss those days. They have a great selection of hot foods, and deli foods for your convenience. My favorite still being the jerky. I prefer the sweet. They have a variety of flavors. My 3 boys stop in once in a while when they go up to Mt. Baldy, or McGowan Creek. They are big fans of the jerky as well. The tradition is strong with this family. There is also I sign on the outside of the building, for anyone who rides road bikes. This is a good place to stop and rehydrate. I must also tell you how friendly the staff are. Great customer service. Something you do not see all to often. It is definitely worth a Sunday drive, or any day of the week drive.
