This store seems to have expanded recently and now have veggies and fresh fruits. Which is good. I didn't check the prices to compare to anywhere else, I just noticed them there. The employees are nice. The older ones know the regulars, the newer ones are more formal and stiff. But I've never had a real complaint about anyone in there. The store seems cleaner than most, and that's nice. I always appreciate a clean store. Will I return? Yes. It's not my favorite store to go, but in a small, and I mean small town, it's there for convenience. So if I need something while I'm making dinner and forgot, it's just down the hill from me. On this trip I stopped into Washington Street Liquors in Corvallis. Oregon is a control state, so selections can sometimes be predictable, but this shop had a few bottles that definitely caught my eye. Prices were right around market, maybe slightly into secondary territory on a couple bottles, but nothing outrageous for something harder to find. What stood out most was the staff. Friendly, easy to talk with, and happy to share a little insight into the local bourbon scene. That kind of conversation is always appreciated when you are visiting from out of town and trying to figure out where the good hunting spots might be. The hunt paid off.
