I stopped here before sunrise not knowing the rules of self service stations in Oregon but I soon…read morelearned after the attendant jumped to his feet in a panic just as I swiped my credit card and began pumping fuel into my rental. This state has or had a similar law as does the state of New Jersey that prevents the driver from pumping their own gas in the name of safety, uhm that is unless the county has fewer than 40,000 residents then it's ok and safe I guess. Apparently the Oregon law passed nearly seven decades ago banned drivers from pumping their own gas the state law made it illegal for gas station customers to pump their own gas and mandated $500 fines for stations that violated the law by letting customers pump gas and risk blowing up planet earth. This tiny increase in freedom is apparently too much for some Oregonians to wrap their heads around. The problem is that many people are not capable of knowing how to pump gas since they never had nor do they know the hazards of doing it since the law has been in effect longer than most people have been alive. Although tens of millions of Americans in 48 states pump their own gas and--miraculously--manage to avoid setting themselves on fire or drowning in gas most around here feel this a service that only a few qualified people are capable of performing. The guy that approached me today looked so stoned I doubt he could of ran my credit card much less being capable of inserting the gas nozzle in the tiny hole without damaging the paint or spraying ethanol all over the ground. I guess I'll give them four stars for having such a rad staffer and for surviving the new law thus far, welcome to 2018 Oregonians...

Really, though, it's the employees that make this place - they're always so friendly and so fast. The fried chicken, surprisingly, is delicious, too. And they have a F'Real (milk shake) machine that works! The only thing that isn't perfect is that sometimes their coffee carafes are empty, but there's usually at least one caffeinated one that is fresh!

It's one of those places where it's a toss up if it'll be OK or not. Sometimes you get nice employees, sometimes you get cranky ones. Sometimes the store is clean, sometimes it's not. I've been in a few times and it was gross. I walked in once and my bladder was about to explode. The employee told me a huge bus full of high school girls had just been in, and he was going in to clean the restroom, so to be aware it may be gross, or wait for him to finish. Cool. It was one of those where I told him I'd use the men's restroom if he didn't mind. Really had to go, and didn't care. It was also very late at night, so the probability of anyone else coming in was slim. He was fine with that, as I was too. They sell the brand of cigarettes I prefer, which is always nice. I honestly don't know if the Chevron next door does or not. I've never paid attention. It seems like when picking which store to stop at, it really depends on what I need. If I'm going for smokes, I'll pick this one. If I need gas or just to use the restroom, I'll pick the Chevron. Would I return here? Yeah. It's not a bad place, by any near means. It's simply a 50-50 chance of it being a good or mediocre experience. I've never had an exceptional or terrible experience in here. It's always somewhere in the middle. Review 159 of 2017.

My son swears that the milk from Dari Mart on Queen Avenue, lasts until the experation date while…read moremilk from other stores doesn't. After a day of shopping my last stop was Dari Mart for a gallon of milk. Once back at the house I discovered that I had lost one of my earrings. I called the various stores where I had shopped but no earring had been turned into lost and found. When I called Dari Mart the store manager answered the phone, Ann was very helpful and polite. With no customers in the store she went to look for my lost earring and found it! When I went back to pick it up she remembered me from earlier in the day. Always great service, shelves are always stocked and worth going out of my way for. Thanks Ann, I'll be back!

This location has very little parking. It's in an area that is useful to have the convenience store…read morethere. Close by the high school so there is a lot of student traffic here. The inside is dirty. I'm not sure why it always appears so dirty, but it certainly makes me want to pass on any quick food items they make here. Need a drink or packaged snack?
