Literally went to get some gas and the worker there gave me such an attitude. He was light skinned and had an Afro. Chevron off The 91 Freeway is a cool spot to stop at. It has a mcdinside of this gas station lots of snacks and cold drinks. There are clean restroom and two atms. There is a icee machine and soda too. And if your hungry walk in to mc Donald's They are always cleaning the restroom here read more

Horrible service from one of the attendants. Betty. Every time I come into this station and see this woman, my encounters with her are nothing short of unwelcoming. There is no smile, no consideration, no compassion no sense of joy when interacting with her. Last night, I had some difficulties with my car and was in need of some gas. I had just given my last to pay for some food for one of the youth at the center that I work at and had left the university to turn in some paperwork for my graduation. I did not realize that I had no money until I got to the pump and after calling friends and family for help, no one answered their phones and I had to scrape for some change in my car. I managed to find about $3 in change and was reluctant to do so, but asked someone if they would not mind helping me out. Mind you it's raining, it's cold, so I knew asking was a reach since people are trying to get home, but I figured I could get some help even if it was a dollar. Luckily, this nice guy gave me $2 for change and I went to the counter to pay for some gas to get me home. Betty at the counter was nothing short of rude, disrespectful and disengaged in the interaction with me as a customer. She looked at my money like I was less than and only gave me $4.80 worth of gas (even though I gave her $5). Knowing how mean she always is and how horrible of an attitude she has from interacting with her during my stops for gas on my way to school, I just accepted it, walked to my car and pumped my gas. Fearful of it not being enough, I looked through my car and found a dollar in quarters and walked back to Betty inside of the station. After showing her the money she says aggressively "You were supposed to have been gone, why are you still here?" I told her that I had a dollar in quarters and did not have enough money to get home and that this was all that I had. Now, instead of offering some encouragement, or some compassion, Betty looks down at my money and says "Well this is panhandling, you cant do that here. This is private property. I can call the police. I'll give you the dollar but you need to go!" SHOCKED! HURT! FRUSTRATED! Those were the feelings that came to my mind. How can someone be so mean and rude towards someone else who is clearly in need! I was trying to get home. This was my FIRST time ever asking someone for some help at the gas station with gas and here is this woman treating me like I am less than. She of course had no idea of my spending money to feed a kid at the center. Or my wasting my last bit of gas to make sure that my paperwork was in to submit to the university for graduating. No idea of my personal struggles. And though they were none of her business and concern, positivity and kindness goes a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way and she did not express ANY OF THAT! What if the shoe was on the other foot? What if you were someone in need of some compassion. I DREAD having to go inside and FACE her because SHE IS SOOOOOO RUDE! After speaking to the owner of the location, he told me that panhandling is against Chevron policy (could fool me with all the homeless individuals asking for some assistance) and that I was in the wrong for asking other customers for help, but where I come from, a closed mouth does not get fed. If you are in need, speak up. ASK. I did not mug someone for money. I did not steal someone's purse or wallet to get gas. I simply asked someone for some help, and many said no, and ONLY ONE said yes, and gave me TWO DOLLARS! The nicest thing anyone has done for me in a while. I give all day at work to the youth in our community whose parents have abandoned them or who are going through some socio-economic hardships. I give to charities, classrooms and scholarship funds. And on the one day that I needed some help, someone (Betty) could not simply give me an ounce of compassion. I did not ask her for anything! Did not ask her for a handout. Did not ask her for a freeby on gas. I simply just asked to be treated as a human...with basic respect and I could not receive that. I WILL NOT be returning to this station and if I were you, to avoid ever feeling low, or uncomfortable or as if your business is NOT appreciated, I will encourage you to either pay at the pump or keep on driving because BETTY at the Chevron on Central Avenue by the 91 freeway in Carson, California is nothing short of an inconsiderate, disrespectful, and unprofessional individual. read more

Good gas makes your car run much longer....91 is the way too go if you can afford it, but try not using 89 because it can make your engine run really bad. As they say, you pay for what you get. Love the Station, its close to home and just right off the freeway. read more

I go here almost every morning to get my soda and snacks on my way to work. I am usually in a rush and the girls that work here are the friendliest, most efficient workers ever. I love going to places where people know what they're doing and they do it well. The gas here is a bit expensive, but gas everywhere is. It comes down to spending less than a dollar for filling up at 'cheaper' pumps. read more

The manager at this so called place of business is a sorry excuse for a person in charge. I go here every morning to see her outside talking and laughing with customers or sitting in her car thats always in the same spot. Theres a constant line inside and the girl is always working by herslf. I sit at Mc Donalds for an hour sometimes and the employees are by themselves at the register. When i leave i see her outside on her cell phone or talking with other people. She makes this place look tacky. I am not exagerating but she has to be the rudest one who works there. She screamed at me once because i did not tell her everything i wanted at one time. I also heard her tell a customer not to bring his M***** F***** A** in there again. She is beyond rude and talks to her employees horribly. There are a select few that work there that are worth keeping!! read more

I buy gas here and I also buy lottery. I stopped by today around 6:15 p.m.There were 2 ladies behind the register a black lady and latina lady. I was checking my scratchers and my lottery tickets to see if I won something, right after me another customer came in and she had a handful of scratchers she threw some of them away & I said "do you enter them on the 2nd chance? " she ignored me i figured that because she was on the phone, the custer asked the latina lady for scratchers, When I mentioned second chance the black lady said hello I thought she was talking to me but she was talking to the lady that was holding the tickets in the mean time a line was already forming and I stood there waiting she didn't help me, she was too concerned about getting the non-winning scratchers from the lady and handed her a bag, she was rude to another customer because she was on the phone & told her "are you ready or not". I like the convenience of this gas station but I feel that she needs to have courtesy a customer training would be ideal for her. read more
