Knowing that they have such influence would lead one to believe that they would be able to practice fairness and equality to their customers rather than practicing discriminatory behavior to some of their less fortunate patrons that use the services they provide on a regular basis. 3 years ago I was working full time and living life , but something has happened to me in the last 3 yrs, I have developed a medical condition that affects my skin so I don't go their as often but when I do it's usually late in the evening so that I don't encounter many people. So when I make my trips to the store I'm usually met by the night time clerk who is very offensive and often has accused me of stealing and often will review his security camera screen before accepting my money for my purchase making me feel discreminated I'm not exactly sure why he finds this acceptable but he does and so does his employers because this has been brought to there attention and they just stated as matter of fact that it's because they assume that I'm using drugs, this to me is an example of what a small business in a community should not do.

On my first visit we arrived to find several other couples waiting on orders (it's clear this is where the locals go). It took some time to locate the order sheets as they are in a bin on a little table to the right as you walk in the front door, but it was empty. They utilize reusable sheets so had to clean some to get them ready for the next customers, just ask the cashier if you don't spot any. Anyways, once we placed our order it probably took 20 or so minutes for the sandwiches. Not too bad, but we were rarin' to get out to the beach, so it felt long! We did use the time to wander the store for other goodies and there is a lot to discover. Of course, they have the usual (and unusual!) snacks and drinks, but there are also games and souvenirs, and all sorts of supplies you might have forgotten you'd need for your beach day like towels, SPF, and toys. The employees were (and always are) very nice and once we got our sandwiches we headed right across the street (so convenient!) to D River parking and found a piece of driftwood on which to eat our dinner. I am not a particular lover of sandwiches, but theirs are darn good! My favorite is the Italian Sub with almost all the veggies, but I have tried the pastrami and turkey as well and liked them too. They've got a great variety of bread options and do breakfast sammies and burritos too. Now we just call and order about 15 minutes before we arrive and the timing works perfectly. For about $10 you get a fresh, big (honestly, I usually can't finish them) meal that will keep you satisfied and fueled for your sandy adventures. As they are so customizable it is a great way to get something everyone will be happy with. And since they are located in a convenience store you can pick up drinks, dessert, and or anything you might have forgotten. There is seating out front if you'd rather eat there. After he handed me my card back, after I bought a $14 car wash, I said thank you and still he said nothing. As he sprayed my car down with I think prewash he kept shaking his head in disgust.
