I will say the chimichurri sauce was a little underwhelming as it didn't have my flavor and only tasted like oil to me, so I didn't use it. The steak was flavorful and the portion was more then reasonable for the price! The rice was also very well done as well, cooked perfectly! Normally, hubby and I would split a steak but on this visit we each got our own and cleaned our plates. Alta Vaca definitely hit the spot! We each had a churrasco cooked medium with fries for me and rice for my husband. Every bite was music to my tastebuds! We loved it so much that when making dinner plans with friends a couple days later and the night before our flight back home, we knew we wanted to return to Alta Vaca one last time before leaving. I made a reservation for 8 and I'm glad I did because the space inside is somewhat limited and they were slammed. Despite the place being jam packed and us being a large party, our server was incredible as was their entire staff. Our food came quickly and tasted just as divine as the first visit. I ordered the churrasco again but this time with potato salad instead of fries. I asked if the potato salad was vinegary because I tend to be picky about those, but I was assured that if I didn't like it, I could switch it to something else after. This was great to know but not necessary as I ended up loving it along with the delicious steak. I savored every bite and lamented at the fact that I could not take the whole place home with me as I was not ready to let go. If we had Alta Vaca Grill near our new home, I would be there at least weekly without question. Amazing service with mouthwatering food and reasonable prices makes this an easy 5-star rating in my book. If we are ever in the area again, returning will be high on the priority list. If you are lucky enough to live nearby and haven't tried them yet, I suggest you run, not walk there, sooner rather than later because you will not be disappointed.

There are also some hot bar items: black beans, rice, polenta, large grilled shrimp, mashed potatoes, and plantains. There's an option to just have the salad bar. I opted for this. They included salmon and grilled pineapple for me. There was plenty of food and it was all well made. So if you're a vegetarian or pesco-veg, you'll still be well taken care of while your carnivorous table-mates go to town. And that they did. There was filet mignon, flank steaks, sausage, short ribs, chicken, Parmesan encrusted pork, and probably way more. The dining room bursts with activity as servers visit the tables with this wide assortment of mostly rotisserie meats. Desserts are not included, and there are many options on the menu.
