I'm very happy we shopped around some more. Lori was quick to respond and get an in-home estimate scheduled. She thoroughly explained all the options and what would look best to get our 1980's kitchen a bit more modern. They have a wide selection of styles and finishes to choose from. I was amazed at the difference in prices between the quotes. Not only a bunch (~50% cheaper), but better quality all around. It took two full days and only a couple hours on the third day to get everything installed. Allen is a true craftsman. He pointed out issues with the existing cabinets and was quick to fix them. Every step of the way he kept us informed. His attention to detail was astonishing. Items I would have never considered, such as the way the cabinets should open and putting in hinge stops to prevent the doors from running into other cabinets. Very careful and respectful of our entire house. Super friendly and was sure to clean up each day. I can't praise Home Improvements of Colorado enough. I always felt I could email them with any questions prior to the installation and they would get right back to me. Don't look any further. If you want the best, this is the only place you need to call.

    Stoudt Cabinetry

We hired Stoudt Cabinetry to complete built-ins and cabinets throughout our home in September 2024…read more  The promised completion date was November 1, 2024.  Stoudt had only done a small percentage of the work by November 1 and, having received $70,000 from us as a deposit, demanded $20,000 more in order to proceed.  We compromised at $12,000, bringing the total amount we'd paid to $82,000, and also took several projects off of his plate in an effort to make the job more accessible to him as he was so far behind.  After that payment, we did not see him for 5 weeks.  We had a meeting with him and a "mediator" which turned out to be his family member and this resulted in 2 more weeks of work at our home that ended on December 21st, 2024.  There were quality control and installation issues that we brought to his attention, but he refused to address or even come see (his employees did the actual work).  At this point, he had not completed a single room - everything was just parts and pieces.  He again demanded more money, but given that we'd already paid him $82,000, we were not comfortable paying any more until the work was complete and correct.  We asked him to please complete the job so we could pay him and he took our installer off of our job and insisted we use his other installer, who we had asked him not to send because he was unprofessional, did not install properly, and used profanity in front of our kids - with Jim present.  Jim said if we were unwilling to use this installer, we were "at a crossroads."  We communicated extensively when we hired someone else to complete the work.  Our new cabinet person wanted to use the parts Stoudt had and Stoudt refused to give them to us without an additional payment of $20,000.  At this point, we'd paid him $82,000 for about $40,000 worth of work and we told him that giving us the parts would bring him a lot closer to having earned what we'd paid him, but he still refused.  We gave him multiple chances to give us the parts, even letting him know when our new contractor was ordering parts, at which point anything Stoudt had would no longer be of use to us. In January 2024 we received a letter from Stoudt's attorney demanding that we pay the remaining $33,000 on our invoice, which would have been due at the time that the project was completed.  He had done no additional work.  We were forced to hire an attorney to attempt to get a refund for the amounts paid for work that was not completed.  I share our story as a warning.  He continuously refused to work without more money and we felt trapped because we'd already paid so much and so little was done.  There is no quality control - our game room doesn't match the drawings provided by our designer and isn't lined up properly (see picture), and Stoudt not only wouldn't fix it, he tried to tell us that this is expected and we should accept it.  In two of the rooms that he installed, the stain color is not what we agreed on (see picture).  Stoudt verbally agreed to have it refinished to fix it, but never made arrangements.  We later learned from our new cabinet company that refinishing would not yield the correct result as the veneer is too thin and the stain Stoudt used is too dark, so the only way we can get the color we paid for is to replace it.  In one room, the holes for electrical and plumbing were cut too large and the electrician was unable to bring the outlet forward and flush to the back of the cabinet (see picture).  The uppers have excessive holes covered in putty that's not smooth or blended and screws at an angle in the corners (see picture); in order to fix this, we're going to have to lose 1/4" of depth and put in a false back.   We would not recommend Stoudt Cabinetry to anyone and highly recommend looking elsewhere.  It would have been better for us had we never hired him.  This was an expensive mistake and I share this so that others can be spared the same.

I had a built-in unit with false doors that would not open at the bottom wasted space another words! I was looking to replace just the bottom portion and Jim came up with the plans and built it to a T. He and his workers did a great job! They were very prompt, knowledgeable, and neat most of all! They protected my carpet walls and other items and when they left you would've never known they were there ...that's how tidy they were. Jim's shop is amazing and he worked with me one on one throughout the project. He was available by phone/text and always promptly replied and dealt with all my questions and changes to the plans without hesitation or frustration. I highly recommend Jim and his business for any cabinetry work you may require. You'll be very happy if you do! I will most definitely have him back for two other projects I have planned for my home.

Poor quality: a set of window doors three creeks made for us my contractor called a "fifth graders art project" as staples, nails and hot glue were all clearly visible on the backsides. Quoted 4-6 weeks, the project was actually never fully completed but at 14 weeks we went with someone else to fix his mistakes. When mistakes are made, and many were made, owner Michael Ginzel will do anything to avoid liability including just flat out lying and inventing stories to push liability elsewhere. In my case, he said other people threw out imaginary paint he claims to-but never actually did-leave in my house. Even if he isn't lying about this imaginary paint-it was no ordinary paint-it was highly toxic, carcinogenic paint that is too "volatile" to even use on site (his words) and comes with a list of health concerns he emails me, infertility as well. It needs to be in a special storage container for this reason as well, not just under my sink-but-it was a flat out lie. He claims to have left this paint in my sink basin where my toddler could easily reach it, so even his lies are huge mistakes. Scratches were created-perhaps even by his own company moving the doors but he claims other on site workers created them to avoid liability-and his finisher then used the wrong paint to try and fix them which had the wrong color and sheen (which led to the imaginary thrown out paint/avoiding liability story). Using the wrong paint made the imperfections ten times worse than just leaving them alone would have. Then, he wanted more money to fix these imperfections that his own worker Andrew admitted were in his words-"pretty crappy." Over promised, under delivered in every way and every day my husband is fixing something that falls apart. Every mistake made he wanted more money to fix. Screwed up my garden window-he suggested getting a new window to fix the problem. So we decided to get a new window but oh! That will still be a couple thousand extra actually even with the new window. Completely messed up the design of my island cabinets that I never approved the design of because he failed to get confirmation on them from me-he also did not give me a sample door of these to ok before creating-and gave me no rebate on them nor did he fix them so now I just have to live with cabinets I never designed or wanted for my island. If you hire 3 creeks, you'll either be left living with his mistakes, paying him for them or paying someone else for them and you'll be waiting around a long time to do it while Michael legit gaslights you.

He did such great work -- with unparalleled professionalism and positivity -- that we have hired him to do additional tile work for us later this Fall. We have renovated three homes and have worked with literally dozens of contractors and tradespersons over the years, and none have come close to the level of professionalism, attention to detail, craftsmanship, punctuality, efficiency, and dedication that Matt displayed during our project. He clearly takes pride in his work, and is an outstanding communicator. He also is a creative problem-solver when unexpected issues (such as walls not being plumb) arise. We cannot say enough positive things about Matt and our experience in working with him. Highly recommended! The attached pictures speak for Matt's incredible talent!

Matt does a superb job, and we couldn't have been happier with the finished product. Unlike many other companies that advertise for cabinet installation, Matt actually specializes in cabinetry. It took us several attempts to find an installer we could trust would do a good job. Matt did a phenomenal job, and was extremely patient with the overflowing mess at our resulting from multiple projects going on simultaneously and working around multiple starts and stops due to issues with the delivered cabinets, working around other contractors, etc. If you have an upcoming cabinet job, R&R cabinetry should be your first call.
