My car has mud streaks all over one side from getting stuck in snow/ice/mud this past week. I went to the Exxon on Chester Road to get gas and a car wash. The sign on the pump said the car wash was closed due to extreme cold, but it's already in the 50's, so I went in and asked, and yes, the car wash is open. I bought an express wash at the pump, put gas in the car and went to the car wash. It would not accept the authorization code, so I went into the store. Had to wait and wait while someone else's purchase was being cleared and corrected, which took the cashier, the asst. manager and the manager. Finally was able to tell them the problem and a teenage boy who works there said he would take care of it. Went back to the car and he showed me the sequence for entering the code -- first you press the button for express wash even though you have paid for it, and then enter the code, and then press 1. Okay, done. I pull in. Apparently I'm at a bad angle from pulling up to punch codes into the machine because it won't recognize the presence of my car. The guy in a truck behind me hollers, "You have to come around and start over." Of course, the teenager took my receipt with him so I don't have the code. I pull out of the car wash, park and go inside. They have to dig through the trash to find the receipt. I tell them I'll take my car home and wash it, just refund my money. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen was playing on their music system. While the asst. manager is doing so, the teenager starts softly singing, "You're so lame, I'll bet you think this song is about you." I said, "Are you singing about me?" He seems surprised that I heard and claimed he was singing along with the piped in music. I responded, "I know the difference between Queen and Carly Simon." Another customer said, "He's singing 'you're so lame' to this lady." I got my refund and left. I will never go back there. read more
