Heather will follow your directions *exactly* and will give suggestions for improvements/tweaks, but won't force them on you. She's very thorough at brow waxing. Conversation is pleasant, the atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and non-catty. They never force product on you--great selection, though if that's your thing. *Great* at mixing color. My only criticism is I wish there were a little more creativity involved. Personally, I love it when I can give a stylist I trust free rein to come up with something new and edgy on their own. But I'll sacrifice that for knowing I'll get exactly what I ask for at this very dependable, pleasant, clean and reasonably-priced salon. Still, five stars overall for the best in Windham County. The makeup she used was of the highest quality- brands I could never justify buying for myself- and yet the prices were beyond reasonable. She curled my hair and left it down just like I asked for, but I was convinced it wouldn't last past the ceremony. Somehow my stick straight hair maintained the most gorgeous, flowing curls all night despite being out in the snowstorm for over an hour. While we had heard a lot of great things about the salon and how great all the girls that work there are, I was blown away by the work that Kalea did for me. The bride let us all decide what we wanted to do with our hair, and seriously this left me a little nervous! I'm pretty plain when it comes to my hair...it always looks the same and I don't put much effort into it on the regular. I told Kalea that I wanted to keep it down and curly, but I knew it would be a tough job because my hair is nearly pin-straight, thin and is tough to hold a curl. Kalea did an awesome job! Not only was my hair exactly what I envisioned for my friend's wedding, but it held the curl all night! I loved it, and I even liked it in the wedding pics that followed! (I wished that I got married in the same area and could have had her do my hair for my own wedding, as I loved it that much more than my OWN wedding hair!)
