After submitting a reservation request, a lady named Patricia called me. After explaining to me that I would be getting four free nights plus other freebies and confirming reservation, asked if I would come with a husband or partner I said my boyfriend, she took his name then proceeded to ask me if I was a citizen, if we were both citizens. I said I'm a legal permanent resident and he is a citizen, she said that they wouldn't be able to allow me as a guest. Quickly the tone of her voice changed and when I asked why only citizens she said that's a rule set by the owners and proceeded to give me the phone number to the Cherry Valley park. I asked if I came in to reserve as a paring my own nights costumer would I be able to reserve, she said No. I have an accent, was that reason? I don't know but talk about discrimination. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It is run down - decrepit with people working that look older than dirt and buildings that haven't been updated in a decade or two. It has a pathetic "lake" that is 3 feet deep. It has a disgusting main shared room that is nothing more than a few folding tables with papers taped to them, and some old disgusting couches and chairs. It has a dirty microwave and a coffee maker. But the real issue is that Colorado river adventures is a scam. They claim that you get a one time pass at this amazing "deal" of booking a timeshare with their company. As of today's date a "package" ranges between 9 and 11k with a 500 a year matinenece fee. They claim you can use all this stuff and book all these international and coast to cost things but again its all a scam. When you book they offer you all sorts of free stuff - but it all has strings attached. The gift of the gas card can only be used if you buy in 50 dollar increments 60 dollars apart and they may or may not give you the rebate based on if you qualify st that time. Its not guaranteed. The tablet is a joke. My kid got bored with it in a matter of minutes. It loses charge in 30 minutes and has no capabilities. It also feels like a toy you'd buy on ali express for 8 dollars. But hey its free so whatever. I was promised a 20 night stay and was told I won a contest and if I wanted I could also tour their other locations incase I was interested. They booked me at cherry valley because it was closest to me. I double checked because I didn't want it to null my offer because let's be honest cherry valley has horrid (all honest) reviews. These people lied. There's no two ways around it. They lure you in and attempt to force you to buy and when you don't want to they basically throw a fit and kick you out. I was worried by the reviews and when I called to ask about them was told that the reviews are by disgruntled people who didn't qualify. That's not true, my income alone more than qualified me to be here, and I was willing to buy their most expensive package in cash that day. But if your company is going to lie to me to get me in the door, your tour of the facility is a complete joke, with decapitated conditions, then why would I trust anything else you had to offer. Buyer beware. This place is a straight up scam, poorly run by people who look like they are still living in the 80s, and are completely out of touch with reality, and who have 0 relationship woth the truth. read more

DON'T WAISTE YOUR TIME! They promise you a bunch of stuff along with free stay as long as you take an hour out of your day to go on a tour "no obligation to become a member" I'm just gonna say I've never felt more uncomfortable in my life, the guy that took me on a tour was so pushy & even came over to my campsite trying to get me to join & if that wasn't bad enough, everything promised for just attending the tour wasn't delivered, absolutely nothing... I was supposed to get a year membership/20 nights free, $200 gas voucher, tablet & because I even called & confirmed our visit another gift worth $200 Absolutely nothing was delivered & the office closed Monday & Tuesday we checked out on a Monday... I've called multiple times to the reservations line along with membership line with nothing but endless voicemails & a lot of just passing me off. Not one person has actually stepped up & tried to rectify the situation let alone even call me back... it's not right nor is it legal to intentionally misrepresent & the fact they record all conversations & it's been brought to everyone's attention not only by phone converstations but voicemail & email. Still not even a phone call back Shady shady shady At this point it's the principle They get you there with the promise of something to be basically bullied into becoming a member & if you don't, you get nothing promised. I should have read all the negative reviews of this place before we made a week's reservation and stayed there. If you like to stay at Flying J's or Walmart's then you'll love this place because the site's are so narrow that you can't get out of your rv without stepping on your neighbor's lot. The registration was fine--a nice young lady in the front (can't call it an office because it's about the size of a small storage shed. I was led to my site by a very nice gentleman on a golf cart. The sites were stated as drive thru sites-- they are unless you want to tow a car behind your motor home because some "idiot" put the water, electric and sewer at the end of the site instead of the middle (where they are in most other rv resorts. Anyone calling this place a resort must have very low, low, low standards. The pool was supposed to be heated but it was cool. The jets on the hot tub had been removed so the water shot up instead of in! One of the owners told us that they used to have jets but he doesn't remember when they were removed. The bathrooms were also weirdly placed--my wife had to go thru the laundry room to enter the women's showers! A nice man doing his laundry told her where the showers were. The commodes were not in the same rooms as the showers?? Why??? Why would anyone want to walk 50 feet to the shower after leaving the bathrooms? Cleaning the bathroom's is done by a woman who pours bleach on the floor of the individual shower stalls. The shower I used had a hand held shower--I tried tightening it because the connection was faulty and shot water over the top of the shower curtain and onto my towel and change of clothes. The absolute worst thing about this park is that it's right on I-10 and your sleep is constantly interrupted by the sound's of trucks either using their "Jake" brake or the sounds of them passing. In retrospect--if I were to Other campers rv'ers in the park were nice. We did see a few leave after only a night or two. I just want to warn all campers that this is not a quiet enjoyable campground--the noise is unbearable and the old rv--one "permanent motor home was about 40 years old and missing both the back engine cover and damage to the rear which appeared to have been there for a long time. Too many very old units that appear to not be cared for. I think that the homeless of California wouldn't even use these rvs. I hope this saves someone from making the same mistake as us. We are from Florida where we are used to beautiful landscaped rv parks. We came from Palm Springs Oasis RV Resort (which had level gravel sites but was meticulously maintained and a true RV RESORT--this place should be banned from using the word Resort in their name. Oh, yes--the instructions given you upon check in tell you to fill your water tank because the electric goes out and then you don't have water because they are on a well. The road coming into the park is paved but has many humps and the valleys will jar your teeth out! If you really want to save money and go to other parks, either check out the various membership parks or join Passport America which will give up to 50% discounts on RV parks. Camping world sells their directory. If you want to buy into a membership campground, check out the resale market (make sure the dues are up to date) for Thousand Trails or any of the other membership resorts and above all, visit a few to make sure they are selling what you intend to buy. We only went to this park because it was on the way to where we were going and was a member of either Resorts Parks International or AOL. read more

I came here for a free camping adventure from Colorado River Adventures. I am a new camp trailer owner and have been camping with my family a few times a week. I am not easily sold on things like this and I have visited other RV resorts that offer membership opportunities but I have always declined. The difference between the place and the others was the friendly people. I was happy to see how nice the guy was when we pulled in late and had to be checked in by security. I believe his name was Steve. He told us how to contact him if we needed anything. When we walked in the sales office on Saturday morning they offered my boys a choice of movies to watch. I didn't think the kids would sit through the sales pitch but they had their own area to relax and eat popcorn. I had already decided that I wanted to buy as long as the price was right. I've been paying 40 to 50 dollars a night to camp at local places and on the holiday weekends they add more to the price. Just a weekend trip covers my monthly payment because I financed the membership. Just over 100 a month and I camp free. I can visit my sister up in Pismo, family who live in Havasu, and any other place. All I have to pay is gas. Not everyone likes to camp as much as my family but having two boys ages 10 and 6, they need to be outside. This park is old and near a freeway, but it is so nice for the kids because it is small. My boys fish and explore all day. It's not crowded with people and cars like other places I've been. read more

This camp has great staff . place is nice. But the main management in parker arizona are very rude and are nice before you get your membership. But after they become your worse nightmare. Tony the manager is the worse and will make sure non of my friends or known people get a membership. You guys need new managers in parker AZ read more

People very friendly and helpful they get 5 stars but after 3 sites that are designated Coast to Coast we left. CRA resorts site are unsuitable for us. Only 30 amp right next to freeway and narrow very tight. No more CRA resorts. read more

Ok place. 80 spots but 60 are filled with full time residents so i reality they only have 20 spots which you can only sray for 14 days then need to leave for 10. $9350-$14k for a membership. i was called repeatedly from colorado river resorts telling me when i purchased my rv a resort package was purchased by the rv dealership for me to use......so finally after months of putting it off what seemed like a gift package from the dealership which was to include free nights camping....an i pad and upgraded gift package.....i get to the beaumont ca location and am told by the rude older bleach blonde lady as she snickered and shook her head no not here......no package no gifts......no free camping......California river resorts and cherry valley lakes dont buy into it. oh p.s if i sat thru the 90 minute shpeal(which on the phone i was told it was just to explain my gift package) and i didnt buy i wasnt allowed to use thier parks or any affiliated parks for 2 years....what a sham.....and the office personnel was just rude bait and switch read more

We have been CRA members for 15+ years. Having visited most of the parks in our membership over the years we can say that we really enjoy our stay here in Cherry Valley. The park manager and staff have gone above and beyond to make this visit a wonderful experience. This park is clean, the clubhouse and pool great and the pond had some pretty good fighting fish. Some spots are tight for our 40 footer but when space became available we were able to move to a really great spot. My only complaint is the freeway traffic doesn't abide by the 10 to 7 quiet time Lol. As with all the parks it seems that my fellow campers are just a little extra friendly than other parks. But I my be a little biased though. We have been really pleased with our investment in the CRA program. read more

Absolutely filthy! The bathrooms were gross. First of all why not renovate them every 50 years of so?!! There was old food and what looked to be excrement on the shower floor! I complained and was told that they would take care of it. Well the next day it was all still the same. Who shits on the floor in the shower room? Also they let dogs and ferrel cats just poop everywhere. I mean you can't even step out of your RV without stepping in some kind of poo. GROSS! The place is jam packed so they really don't care if you stay or not. Really just packed with RVs all sardined in together. With all those customers, you'd think they would at least have decent bathrooms and pave the road. Since it's the only game in town they just screw the customers and don't care...once they get your money. Plus they randomly shut the water off. I'm not sure why but you need to be sure to fill your tanks just in case. I wouldn't come back if they paid me. read more
