The campground itself it very nice and maintained, there could be more amenities for kids to have something to do, since there isn't alot of local attractions nearby to entertain small kids or teenagers. Honestly, never met a better staff and I have stayed in alot of different campgrounds due to traveling for work. Again, just more activities and things for kids like mini golf, splash pads, or anything family oriented really would be the only thing to top off such a wonderful place to stay.

We are a large group that came for a training, the "executive director" gave a seriously lack luster apology to our group in which she insinuated that those who experienced the issues may have brought the bugs, which was highly inappropriate and offensive given that the establishment has "an established protocol" and infeates in in-house machinery they use to "treat" the rooms. This is an established issue here and dont stay here or they will blame you too!

The staff was great! Very hospitable and accommodating. The property was very clean, and tidy. Loved having cement pads to park on and grass Along with a fenced dog park to walk our dog. It was quiet and peaceful which is just what we wanted. Free kayak, paddle board and canoes to enjoy and pontoon boat rental on site. The property is set up with three tiers with angled parking for optimal views of the water. It seemed a little tight for maneuvering but thankfully we are only 25' long so we didn't have too much trouble. I probably would have given 5 stars except the WiFi was horrible at best. At least it was for us. There is a new Publix grocery store approximately 2 miles up the road, which I give 5 stars.

I'm gluten intolerant and was prepared to eat the snacks I brought from home, but they made me gluten-free pancakes from scratch! Mary and Andy were so conscious of giving us our space and privacy, but we grew to love them so much, we found ourselves seeking out ways to spend time with and learn from them. They gave us a tour of the home, which has been carefully renovated to preserve its rich history and architectural character, while also providing the comforts and luxuries of a modern home. We learned about the history of Salisbury and how the town has evolved since its founding in 1755! We came for a wedding but would happily return to Salisbury just to stay in our cherished Across the Pond Bed and Breakfast.

Second, the room we were staying in was not only gorgeous, comfortable, and clean but I could have lived in the shower. Last I don't know if there are enough nice compliments that I could give to owners. Together with their staff, they went above and beyond to make not only our stay wonderful but help bring to life the vision my friend had for her wedding. If you are considering having any event at Bonaparte Castle I say DO IT! You will not regret it.

First things first. This is a discount motel that also happens to be the only one in town. Curb…read moreyour expectations. It's a bit smelly with a rug that somehow feels sticky even when dry. And like another review said, the blankets do have some cigarette burns in the smoking rooms. With all that being said... We had fun staying there. It wasn't our choice, as our previous plans fell through and it was the only option in Mount Pleasant. But the positives outweighed the negatives. It was approximately $90-100 US a night, which is quite expensive for what it is, but then again driving to Concord/Charlotte isn't worth the money either. We were upgraded to a larger room due to them having rooms free. The room itself was pretty big with a lot of space including a private bathroom, a mini fridge, microwave, bedside charger for electronics, air-conditioner/heater, big screen TV with cable and free wifi. The owners seemed nice; the husband of the two went out of his way to recommend restaurants in the town, constantly ask if we were enjoying our stay and even open the door whenever I grabbed coffee in the morning. On our first night there the water heater happened to break down in our portion of the motel, and he apologised multiple times, offering us the use of the showers in the empty rooms if needed (the heater was fixed the same evening). We had also requested to adjust the daily cleaning schedule as we were exhausted from the trip, to which they happily obliged and only came around once we had said that we were ready to have the cleaners in the room. The motel is right next to the Hardee's which makes for a great cheap, greasy breakfast. And across the street is a 24 hour Circle K for beer, snacks and cigs if you need it. We knew what we were getting into when we rented the room. You're in a small town with one motel, it's not the Ritz Carlton, but it does everything that it should.
