This is a walk in treasure chest - found some very cute gems here a few years ago and I adore the owner Nina so very much. She's smart and has a great eye.

cutest store front i've seen in LA - looks like a little chalet!

I get that it's a recession, but should my wardrobe have to suffer?! Some of my cutest outfits and accessories are from Cherry Pick - it's the stuff I get comments about, with props to the pink leather clutch I grabbed this summer. There's a pretty broad selection for women, with lots of fun and throwback accessories. I was impressed with how much they had on the men's side too. Cute location (and store), perfect area for the shopping-coffee-peoplewat ching combo. LA is a trek for me, so I was glad to find out they have an active Etsy store too.

Miss you Mr. Williams

This boutique is quite small but it is PACKED with an abundance of women's wear. And in a small sliver off to the right hand side of the store you will find the Men's wear. Although the section is small, their quite unique range of blazers, leather and Jean jackets, plaid shirts, and amazing rock band Tee's (Grateful Dead, Aerosmith just to name a few). Make the Men's section definitely worth checking out. Fellas, also in our small section you will find a handful of skinny and bow-ties, sunglasses and work bags (able to at least fit a "15 laptop inside) There are two fitting rooms in this shop. The first, is quite tight, no bigger than ones standard bathroom shower. Cool creative drapes that open and close like theatre curtains. Adds a nice touch to very tight space. Fitting room number two though is an experience worth trying even if you don't plan on purchasing anything! Bigger than some of my previous apartment bedrooms. Inside you'll find a plush throw rug, two leopard print arm chairs (just in case you need critiques or assistance when slipping in and out of clothes). What else am I forgetting???? The glass sliding door factor for this fitting room is also pretty cot damn nice as well. I mean, everyone has been in a fitting room before.....nothing really epic about them. But this one......?! This one is bittersweet because the experience inside is the most relaxing change clothes experience yet once you leave you are once again subjected to the harsh reality of standard fitting room experiences. I mean really.......it is that WORTH it to go just to experience the fitting room IN THE BACK. Fitting room in the front........? Meh. The staff was one lonely soul but very well seasoned in the history of the shop and the items inside (where they came from, what time period, etc.) Extremely friendly staff, ask for Nina (not Mina). They said a steady supply of merch comes through, so I'll be back.

Deals and steals! So delighted this consignment shop exists on the Westside. The staff here is so welcoming and sincere, and are not afraid to strike up a warm conversation. The store is run very efficiently for consignors as well -- I've consigned many men's designer that have sold quickly here. I'd say it's easier to find nice designer womenswear. Men's designer is harder to find, but at times you'l get lucky with designer menswear.

Used to love this place but now it's more of a buyer beware situation, based on a recent…read moreexperience. I purchased two candle holders and later got a voicemail saying I owed an additional 33 cents because they'd undercharged me. Odd amount to call about, but I was out of town and didn't call back right away. The next day I answered a call (that turned out to be from them) asking for someone else entirely. Assuming the number was possibly spam, I googled the number, saw it was Trove, and then emailed them directly, saying I understood I owed 33 cents and asking for an invoice. They corrected me. I actually owed $33, not 33 cents, they couldn't send an invoice by email, and wanted me to call and give my card info over the phone instead. After everything already off with this (the wrong number call, the 33-cent voicemail, no email invoicing), I didn't feel comfortable reading my card number to someone over the phone. I offered to stop by in person instead, and asked in advance if they could have a receipt ready showing my original 33 cent charge, so I wouldn't be making the trip for nothing. I rearranged my lunch break to make this happen and showed up as planned. No receipt. They said they'd emailed it, but I'd specifically asked for a printed copy, the least they could do given this was their error to begin with. That request took several days notice and still didn't happen. Their printer was "acting up," so I got no receipt for the original charge and none for the new $33 charge, either! An error on their end turned into a special trip, wasted time on my lunch break, and still no paperwork to show for any of it. Disappointing customer service, especially when the customer is the one who has to burn their own time fixing your mistake. Edited to add, following their reply: I was never contesting the dollar amount being charged. I was happy to pay for what I purchased. I stated that they asked me to call in my card over the phone. I addressed why I was uncomfortable with doing that, and had asked for a way to provide payment electronically. When that option was not available I offered to come in. My disappointment is that despite their error, the wrong amount owed left on my voicemail, a random "wrong number" phone call from them, and inability to accept payment over something like square invoicing / Venmo / etc., all I asked for was a printed receipt. If someone has to make time to come in and fix your error, it's the least you could have done. I'm now even more disappointed in them after this response.

Raggedy Threads is my favorite vintage store in L.A. - no contest. Don't let this tiny little store…read more- located in a tiny little corner of Little Tokyo - fool you: It's like a treasure trove of rare finds. I've been on a huge vintage kick lately, so this store has been my go-to source for old tees. My reasons for going vintage are primarily environmental since the carbon footprint and resources needed to make new clothes are substantial - and incredibly wasteful when there's so much awesome used clothing out there. Another reason: Your friends can't copy your style. Most recently, I picked up a few tees from the 1970s and 80s. Being in L.A. they get a lot of local and California vintage shirts with logos, designs, and jokes that only true Californians would get. I couldn't resist buying a Castroville "Giant Artichoke" tee they had over the summer. Personally, I tend to gravitate towards regional finds like these because they bring back such great memories of my youth and of family road trips up and down my home state. They also carry old college (Go Bears!), high school, and everyone's favorite - summer camp tees. Plus, you cannot beat the vintage fit from the 70s/80s. Caveat: Today's "S" is equivalent to an "M" or bigger because people were presumably thinner back then. So do your part for the environment and look effortlessly stylish doing it by shopping used and vintage! And there's no better place in L.A. for this than Raggedy Threads.

Serving it up in East Hollywood, they offer a parking lot with a main entrance in the rear. Open everyday from 12 PM til 6:30 PM showing casing some of the best unisex, women's and men's vintage clothing in Los Angeles. Decor with some hints of Star Wars, Western chic and lot of throwback vibes. The music is always good and their service is swift. The isles are pretty close together and the men's selections are a bit scattered up near the front parts of the store. Everything is of incredible quality so prices vary and often on the moderate to bargain side. Changing rooms on the side that are a good size and often in use. Good vibes and great lighting. You're bound to luck into some great stylish finds, accessories or miscellaneous trinkets and cool wonders. I don't believe they buy or offer trade in for your old clothes as everything here is incredible condition and that can be hard to come by the basically like new look. No restrooms for customers.
