Sampson State Park set on the eastern shore of Seneca Lake. Today, roughly 2,000 acres of open space for mobile campers, tenters, and even fixed cabins for rent. Family friendly throughout the grounds. Boat launch, lakeside beach, play grounds, snack shop, game room, outdoor movie theatre and a Camp Store for replenishing camping needs and the ever popular S'mores refills. On-site, many former military roads and infrastructure during WWII Naval base, and Korean War Air Force base, including a Military Museum on-site built in the 1960's. The campers were friendly and welcoming as we drove through, and the owner went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a good one. We stayed on a tent site which was perfectly groomed and quiet with trees surrounding. Each spot had a picnic table, fire pit, and grill rack and there is a clean, brand-new looking bathroom just a short walk away. It's a beautiful property and we can't wait to stay there again!

I have seen the park manager "the blond girl" from the woods laughing it up with the cops after they went threw and disturbed everybody....... 4. they sit there and watch you like HAWKS from the minute you pull up you will have people staring at you till the moment you leave and are pulling out they will be sitting there in lawn chairs starring at you. anybody that has anything good to say about this place rent from the RV park and get the special treatment because they have a seasonal pass... The campground is wide open with a beautiful view of the lake. The grounds are kept immaculate and it is so quite and peaceful even though it's not very private. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked and the host was around even day checking on things. She was wonderful! We loved our stay and our campsite. Can't wait to be back!

Simply, my family and I love this place. The folks who work here are always pleasant and helpful,…read morethe sites and amenities are great, and the services are excellent. Garbage is picked up at every site every day, great walking trails, fishing ponds and a nice pool/hot tub area. Each year we book a site in August for the weekend when they do the flashlight candy hunt for the kids. The kids absolutely love it and the staff makes sure that no child leaves without candy. Being able to hop on a shuttle or take a short drive to the casino is a plus if you're into that too! Nice restaurants and venues there for rainy days. The only thing that even borders on a negative is the price, which is higher than a lot of other campgrounds, but you really do get what you pay for, and that is especially true here. Barring some catastrophic change, we will be back many more times in the future!

Some campsites are very private. Others are very close. Many are seasonal sites.
