From the charming woman who answers the phone to Anthony, who came to my house to assess the work needed. I received a very fair quote. I have used Vincere industries for different jobs at home with varying degrees of complexity…read more There are several things that I like from Vincere Industries. First of all, they are dependable. Once you reach out to them, they provide an expected timeline, and they stick to it. They are also very quick in their turnaround. One challenge I've found here in the Valley is that you need to call contractors several times before they pickup. This is not the case with Vincere. They are very proactive in reaching out and following-up. Second, their quality of work is excellent. You can really trust that whatever work they are doing for you, it will be a top-notch work. Third, you can trust they are giving you the right quote. I never felt like I was given an insane quote. It always felt like the right price point. Fourth, they really listen to the customer, and make sure they understand their requirements. Once the job is done, they go over it to make sure everything was done properly. Mike deserves a special mention. He really listens to the customer requirements, and goes the extra mile to address them. Whenever there are challenges that arise, he is very articulate in explaining what the problem is, and providing a set of alternatives alongside their tradeoffs. Whenever Mike comes, I can be sure my problem will be fixed in the optimal way. Highly recommend them.

I got a response back the next day from Micaylee Burnside, Project Coordinator, asking for the address so she could schedule a time for a visit. I responded that same day. Three days later, sent a follow-up to set up the site visit, no response. Called and left a message two days later, no response. Called again, one week later, she picked up, when I said who I was, she hung up. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and assumed we were disconnected and tried to call back several times, but kept getting voicemail. I did leave a voicemail and since then I've heard nothing back. If this is how they do business, then I'm certainly glad that this didn't work out because communication is so critical when doing these kind of projects and clearly that's not something they're strong in. So unfortunately we will not be using them nor recommending them to anybody in the future. Their poor communication and general lack of basic customer service does not instill confidence in completing projects that homeowners typically shell out more than $100k of their hard earned money!

This is a review for ONLY my first impression phone call with Mike Goldman (owner) that I had…read moretoday; I will update if we decide to move forward with his company. I sent a written request for a quote through Yelp to several general contractors for a lot of work we will be doing on a new home in PS. His assistant proactively called me and connected me to Mike on the phone, so I did not have to reach out myself. Most other companies wrote back, "Yeah, I can do the work. Call me." eh. Nothing really wrong with that, but if I wanted to call, I would have and if you want the business...make it happen. I respect that they reached out to me, making it easier on me. What I appreciated from today's call is: *his VERY down to earth demeanor; I could see getting along with Mike very easily. *Mike took close to thirty minutes of his time to talk me through his style, and giving me specific ideas he would suggest for the remodel just based off the pictures from the property listing I sent. Awesome and appreciated. This gives me a chance to see how his mind works and if we would be a good match for such a large job. This got his foot in the door and made me decide to get a rough quote from him, which I am only doing with three total companies. *He stressed two things that he specifically addresses which are a notorious problem in this industry - (1) he is value conscious, suggesting alternatives to what you want to do so YOU can choose what you want to spend and where you may want to save....AND (2) he stays to the budget you give him probably more than his customers do. These are invaluable things to consider as he is promising to be done when says he will and on budget. HUGE. His work has been on TV shows and has many jobs being done simultaneously - all due to word of mouth, no real advertising. Other thing to note is he doesn't do pools, but will refer you to a few people that are good that he has worked with before. I am getting three total quotes, including from Mike, and ...so far, I am impressed.

The work done is acceptable, some of it after being redone (water spouts were done sloppily and the water half flowed and half trickled... he felt this was finished and I asked to have it redone) but I have a bad taste in my mouth every time I look at my pool :/ we called him off when it became clear we needed new pool equipment so we could go with someone else and both bids we've gotten have pointed out the shoddy application of the pebbletech. Maybe it was just an off job, but if you use Champion you need to know exactly what you want before you talk to them- they will not help you to design or even understand- it's a railroad operation to get you to do the easiest thing for them. There was a lot of denying and blaming of others. And you need to know what good work looks like, and I've never had a pool in my life, so I didn't. There were square footage calculations that required additional tile purchases mid-application. Questions were glossed over. He's very strident about documenting that you agreed with something, even if it's friendly ("I like that one" "YOU APPROVED IT!")- a general defensiveness that just screams, "I'm expecting you to come at me so I'm coming at you first!!" It creates a tense atmosphere that's totally unnecessary. Again, we all have jobs that go bad, and he'd probably review me as a dumb broad who didn't know what she was doing... but I think that's most people and I thought I'd hired a company to guide me through it
