Phron has been cutting and coloring my hair for a few years. He uses a demi-permanent color to darken my grey hairs, so they grey isn't so bright and there isn't a harsh line of demarcation as it grows out. It also makes my normally dull ash brown hair a much richer dark brown, and my gray hairs look like golden highlights. I've had a few stylists who do black hair that tried to cut my hair with clippers or had to flat iron it first (even though I never wear my hair straight). Phron knows how to cut all types of hair, and he also helped me gradually transition from a shorter style to longer hair without it looking weird in that in between stage. Phron's natural hair tips helped me grow out my hair without relying on braids or other expensive protective styles. For example, I've tried every dandruff product out there with mixed results, and the harsh shampoos always dry out my hair. He recommended a simple aloe vera scalp treatment I now use regularly as I am detangling my hair before shampooing. It's really helped and didn't require me to purchase any expensive or hard-to-find products. Phron's also fairly inexpensive; the only other stylist I found with similar skills charged 2-3x as much. My daughter had her hair permanently straightened by the beauty school! Her hair was ruined. She had the most beautiful curly hair. So about of year of depression for this teen we decided to pay for a full head of extensions. Her hair is completely braided and this hair is sewn in. The problem is it only comes in black. Much too dark for her. No one would color her hair but Rachel saved the day.... That is after I tried to balayage it. So I've been going here for almost 1 year and I can honestly say that I've noticed a huge difference in how I wear my hair since going to Phron. Gina Kaady is an incredible artist and wonderful person. She is so kind and understanding. She is realistic when it comes to your color and cut expectations and never tries to sell you what she can't offer. Love this place! I recently went to Gina who did an Amazing job on my hair! I had horribly grown out highlights and she did a beautiful bayalage on me! My hair is extremely stubborn and takes forever to take color and she was so patient and did a great job.
