I called Rich and he asked me to drop it off before he closed and he would check it out in the following day. He called the following day and informed me that he didn't find any problems operationally but, the computer wasn't cleared when the trouble lights previously were cleared. He then told me to come to pick it up and just let him know if anything happens in the future. When I went to get it, expecting to pay a few hundred for labor, he told me "no charge, just make sure to bring it back immediately if anything else goes wrong." Not only will I be back, but I recommend him to everyone that has transmission issues and tell them my story.

He told me that this is the only place that he would trust to take his car for transmission work. I totally agree. I live in Manhattan and didn't think twice about taking my car out to Little Ferry, NJ for the rebuild. Heck, they are basically just over the George Washington Bridge. Rich even gave me a ride to the PATH Train, which was really going out of his way. What a great guy! I brought my 1991 Toyota there with it slipping badly. I have enough experience to know that it was the transmission, especially after 120,000 miles. Rich scheduled me for an appointment one week away and I dropped the car off. He didn't promise an exact date because things come up. I got the car back in a week and it was spectacular. Quality rebuilt the transmission and actually made it stronger. I drove the car for another 145,000 miles and the transmission performed like new. I was wowed. I tend to keep my cars a long time. If my current car ever needs transmission work, Quality will be the first place that I go...even for something as simple as a transmission oil change. A total pleasure to deal with.

Sam the owner of the car shop did a test drive and checked my car thoroughly, and he identified the issue of the pipe right away. He is extremely experienced, and very honest and patient as well. It took Sam 3 hours to finish the work, he put my muffler back in place, ordered a small part needed, re connect the pipe, and making sure they stay still. I have a fully functioning vehicle at the end of the day - and it only cost me $32 ! This will be the place I go if i have any car issues again. Highly recommended!

I took my car in for a routine oil change. I have a 2015 VW Jetta, with about 90K miles on it. I've never really had a problem with the car. I've just been driving for like 20+ years now. When a key is slow to turn, you just wiggle it and it turns fine. Right? Well, they TOOK OFF THE DASHBOARD, and gave me a fucking HAMMER and told me to slam the KEYBOX with it, until the Key fell out.... I knew something was fishy when I dropped off my car at 12:00PM, and they didn't call until after 3PM. I called them, but they refused to pick up. AND THIS WAS AFTER THEY SAID IT'll SAY AN HOUR. Then they kept asking me if I'd encountered a problem like this ever before. No. Never. With this car, I've never even had a key jammed and had to wiggle it out. I knew what they were doing. An honest mechanic place would say 'Hey, Oil change is on us. And we'll fix this too, since it was our mistake.' Not a single sorry. Not a single apology. Kept trying to pin the blame on me, again and again. Over and over, I had to argue with them but they kept saying it wasn't their fault. I guess it's my fault for stepping in shit basically. Bad luck. Again, don't be the statistic. 1. They should have called me the MOMENT they encountered a problem (Which I never encountered before). 2. They should have called me BEFORE they took the dashboard APART. 3. I was there for about an hour. The manager, JR, and his workers did a very thorough check out. He asked me questions, instantly knew things were wrong, and he sent the report with pictures to Corporate. A few weeks later. corporate got me a brand new transmission to be installed by JR, not the original AAMCO. JR and his crew installed it in two days, and there have been no problems. JR, the manager, has been unbelievably honest and careful with me and my car, and after interacting with him, I can see how deficient the other AAMCO franchise was. I would 100% trust this AAMCO/Manager.
