It's probably the best bet to get a gift that is cute and unique but you want it to lean more towards being western and not too kawaii and anime. Think of gifting a punny keychain or cute Jellycat versus a Chiikawa plushie or anime acrylic if that makes sense. Meaning that it's probably easier and maybe more acceptable to get a slightly more normie a gift here than it is elsewhere. As you can see, I'm learning what it's like to touch grass and re-integrate into human society. There's a good number of plushies, Jellycat and unique ones like a pink fairy armadillo mole one, tote bags and socks, nice range of jewelry, lots of California themed goods if you're looking for souvenirs that aren't mega generic, and they have a lot of other items as well. As with the quality and high regard some of these items have (Jellycats are NOT cheap), it can be a bit pricier, so make sure that you shop around and check prices elsewhere and that you actually truly care about the person you're getting stuff for and it's not a forced obligation one (family member you're ugh with or coworker Secret Santa that you barely know). Maybe a couple cute things I had my eye on, but it wasn't really for me (speaks volumes about me), but I can see how a store like this works in a pinch if you're gift shopping.

David helped me, and I couldn't have asked for a better guide through the process. I came in knowing what I liked aesthetically, but not fully understanding movements, GMT functions, long-term care, or how different brands compare. David broke everything down clearly without ever making me feel inexperienced. What I appreciated most was how passionate and knowledgeable he is about watches at every level. Whether discussing entry-level pieces or high-end collectors' watches, he spoke with the same depth and respect. It felt less like a sales interaction and more like a conversation with someone who truly loves horology. If you're thinking about starting your watch journey, or adding to your collection, this is the place to do it. And ask for David! Great experience from start to finish. Thank you David.

It's a cute boutique offering California-made items such as pottery, clothes, skin care products, jewelry, art, and more. The store is nicely organized and their items are neatly displayed. I was surprised to see they carry the wonderful Osea skin care products as I didn't know they were made in California. I ended up buying a ceramic spoon rest, room spray, and a tiny gold "diamond" ring. Their prices were reasonable. The store owner rang up my items and was very friendly and nice. I will definitely be back to shop here again.

Sometimes the my washer does this which isn't avoidable, but I had washed it with like colors and fabric types so it shouldn't have done this. "We don't have anything here in your size," she said. I could just tell she was envisioning me ripping the seams out of one of her $180 skirts trying to zip it over my fat ass. FabMo is a wonderful community resource that I wish more people knew about. Run by a cadre of…read moremostly women volunteers, this organization rescues discontinued samples from upscale design showrooms in San Francisco. Housed in a small Sunnyvale warehouse, the organization says that each year, they keep about 70 tons (!) of material from going to the landfill. FabMo hosts regular sales open to the public as well as biannual "free giveaway" events. Customers can find tile, carpet, textile fabrics, wallpaper and more. Many materials are provided for free to teachers and there are also donations from the local community. Quilting fabrics, silk fabrics, jewelry making items, sewing notions, leather, decorations and much, much more are offered for sale in person or online through the FabMo eBay store. The only thing I wish that FabMo would do is to develop a partnership with WomenSV - a non-profit group based in the neighboring town of Los Altos. WomenSV helps women get out of abusive relationships. A little known fact about California family law is that, while the legal process is ongoing, individuals are prohibited from selling or using community property to make money. This allows for a continuation of financial abuse by the more powerful partner as they can delay the legal process indefinitely. In my own case, the divorce has been going on for three years as my ex has blocked me from accessing funds that are legally mine. Thanks to the low and no-cost materials I got from FabMo, I have been able to make and sell small craft items in order to buy groceries and obtain veterinary care for my service dog. As FabMo already hosts regular crafting lessons, I wonder if FabMo could somehow do community outreach to provide materials and teach skills to women trying to leave their abusers. Even people who have already managed to escape could benefit from the amazing work that the FabMo volunteers do. They're so successful at saving materials - - wouldn't it be great they could be a part of saving lives. Thanks, FabMo!

From the start, I was greeted by a kind and professional security staff member who kindly asked me to wait off to the side until an associate came out to meet me since I told him I had an appointment. While I waited, I browsed some of the selections on display. Their customer service with me was great! I worked with Connor and he was absolutely wonderful. At first, it seemed like he wasn't making much eye contact, as he was focused on his laptop, but I quickly realized he was actively taking notes on what I was saying, which I actually really appreciated. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate (especially about LOTR, so bonus points if you're a fan too!). Connor was also patient and supportive as my husband and I explored different options. We also asked about certain upgrades and warranty options, and Connor was completely transparent about everything. He clearly explained what was included, what could be added, and never made us feel pressured, just informed. That kind of honesty really stood out and made us feel confident in our decisions. While I ended up spotting something I loved in person, he also followed up with a detailed email containing additional selections based on our conversation. We scheduled a second appointment, where he had everything ready for us to compare and that's what ultimately helped me make my final decision. The final result? Absolutely perfect! I was in awe. It's unfortunate to see the negative reviews out there. But I know everyone's experience can vary, but I wish more people could see what BE has to offer when everything comes together as it did for me.
