Wanted to buy my first lehenga for a wedding and saw this place got great reviews. SO glad I came here, and I found exactly what I needed! It's a small, no frills place, but it has lots of beautiful options at varying price ranges. This place has been around for apparently 30 years and it's been run by this very nice man and wife. They have so many different styles and colors for women's clothing, including many different lehengas. The last place I went to for lehengas didn't have any styles or colors that I really liked, but this shop had several options that immediately caught my eye. There's only 1 small fitting room in the back but it has lots of mirrors and the shop woman kindly helped me with putting on everything. When I chose my lehenga, she was able to make some alterations to the top for me so that it would fit me better, and everything was ready within 1 hour. While I waited, I just went next door for some food until I got the call from them. Overall I'm very happy with my experience here because it felt like the shop man and woman really wanted to help me find something that I would genuinely like. A lovely couple has been running this store for the past 30 years and knows exactly what they're doing. My partner and I came in looking for outfits for a wedding. We showed them a couple of pictures of what we were looking for and within a few minutes they delivered. They make sure you are fitted and offer alterations if needed (which I did!). They were able to alter my top in just 2 days in time for me to take to the wedding. They also have accessories for purchase. LOVE my yellow outfit and red bangles, received so many compliments. Whitey over here, came in really confused and the owners kindly helped me pick the perfect fit for my first Indian wedding. I ended up coming back to exchange my skirt for a different color (to match the wedding theme) and they let me do so no problem. I appreciated their willingness to make sure I was happy with my outfit. They had a really wide variety for both men and women. And they taught me how to wear everything and even added safety pins to the shawl to make sure I put it on right for the event. My husband also got his outfit here. Happened to get there today by chance and found the service is good. And they've large variety of different saaree collections.

We were next door at Manisha Jeweler's and because my niece had yet to get bridesmaid outfits made, which were to be traditional Indian, wandered in here happenstance (turns out the owner of this shop is the brother of the jewelry store), btw., it astonishes me the incredibly enterprising and hardworking nature of immigrants everywhere ... so we wander in here, with no idea of what to expect, and man oh man, were they awesome. They do all kinds of outfits, from saris to length's to gaga chorus to .. name it and they do it--custom, completely measured with the sizes of your needs, and in the designs and materials and colors of your choice. A huge selection of swatches, patterns, a dizzying array and assortment. My niece and sister in law chose a maroon and gold patterned/embroidered skirt set, which they promised to deliver a sample within a month, according to the measurements of my niece. I spied a cute little top which the ischia was so incredibly vibrant, almost a neon, which I figured with denim leggings, might be versatile and adorable. It was only $20, and because it had a slight little mark on it, which btw., made me not want to get it, the owner knocked off $5, and I don't think it was so much the money saved, but more the customer service and their largesse, which is why ultimately I did buy it. Technically, my sister in law bought it for me, because they accept only debit cards, and we not only did not have that, but also were not carrying cash ... so. Their customer service and willingness to help, their openness and flexibility with all the things my niece needed, plus my own little top, all awesome. They're located next to the Manisha jeweler's and a seedy little bar/joint, along with the ubiquitous vegetarian restaurant, alongside an all Angus meat shop. No joke. I mean. You just can't make this shit up. The good news, is despite the bizarre juxtaposition of businesses in a row, because all of these are in a little strip mall, there's plenty of free parking. read more

I was shown several styles and colors. I tried on a few options in the dressing room. I decided on one outfit and they helped with alterations too. So glad that I found Manisha. I was attending a Deepavali function and found that I needed/ wanted a saree to wear. However, my schedule has been crazy lately and I couldn't go to Manisha until two days before the event. I am a total noob when it comes to saree purchase or wearing. The lady at the shop was kind enough to walk through what I needed to get and didn't fleece me for it. I am bigger in size plus I have huge arms but she managed to get me fitted in time with a nice blouse that matched my saree perfectly! Got me the matching under skirt and also volunteered to teach me how to wear it! I also purchase the bangles from them to complete the outfit but I turned down the other jewelry part as I am not really into it. Definitely the place to go to if you are looking for a last minute outfit for an indian event! The area is kinda shady, but this place is a little hidden gem for those who want to find a kurti or saree. The old woman that works there was pretty friendly and sorta helpful at helping you decide what to wear for that special occasion. Nice little saree shop tucked in a strip mall. You can't see it easily from El Camino. We've stopped by the larger saree stores along El Camino and they are way too expensive. My wife and I enjoyed shopping at Manisha as the owners were very nice, helpful, and not pushy at all. As far as I can tell, the selection is decent and I even found a kurta for a party. This place was great. I went in to get something to wear to a friend's wedding reception, not knowing much about Indian clothing, and the woman brought out multiple options for me and helped find something I really liked. Unfortunately the sleeves were tiny! She said she had the fabric and could loosen them up though, no extra charge. When I came back in a week the outfit was done as promised and fit perfectly. She helped me pick out jewelry to go with it and told me how to pin my dupatta. I've lived in the bay area my entire life and am so glad I found this place. The surrounding area looks a little ghetto, but this little store is a gem. The uncle & aunty who own the store are so warm and friendly and will do everything in their power to make sure you leave their store happy. They are extremely approachable and will help wherever they can. I went into the store this past week to see their selection and see if I could find an outfit for my cousins upcoming wedding reception. I walked in and instantly fell in love with one of the lenghas they were showcasing. I got to try it on and it literally fit like a glove and was reasonably priced. I bought a beautiful 100% cashmere shawl here, but am even more impressed by the owner's honesty. I wanted a blue one as a gift to go with some other gift items I had bought my niece, but the only blue shawl they had did not have a label specifying fabric content on it. The owner was very honest and said he doubted it was 100% cashmere - he said it was almost certainly a blend. So I bought a lovely blush one from him, rather than going to a different store to find a blue one. This place is absolutely amazing! The selection is great, the prices are great and they are incredibly accommodating when it comes to alterations. Speaking of alterations, aunty and uncle are such perfectionists! I like to have full, covered sleeves so I need to have lining under the net sleeves that come with the actual suit. They take time to carefully match fabric to the suit so much so that one can't even tell that the outfit has been altered.
