Within 4 weeks the colour faded unevenly and turned brassy, and the roots did not blend. The layers removed too much density and made my hair feel thin and wispy. Nowhere near to the reference photo style. I declined a $90 gloss and feel the colour service relied on that to correct poor formulation. Permanent dye is also being repeatedly pulled through hair that's already been coloured giving it a dry, patchy look. On another visit, I asked for soft fringe bangs using a clear reference photo, but they were cut wet and left choppy and uneven! This is like basic hair technique 101!

We've gone through a bunch of different hair colours over the years, I used to dye my hair and started disliking the dark root look, so when Covid hit, I decided that I would start to grow our my natural colour. As a professional musician, our band is always having photos done, I didn't want to look grey, I wanted to somehow keep a hint of blonde but maintain a somewhat natural look with my salt and pepper coming in. I discussed this with Amanda who knew exactly what to do, she suggested foils and we've been doing foils ever since. I would never go to any other salon. Citrus Hair Salon is so classy, from the wonderful staff that greets you at the door to the person popping by with snacks. They have fantastic communication, you get a phone call and a text if your stylist is running late. The salon itself is very stylish, the wash area seats are soft and padded and you never get neck strain unlike other salons when your hair is being washed plus they have an array of wonderful products. If you like hair extensions - they have those too! Amanda is not only an expert with colours and styles, she's an incredibly beautiful and kind, smart, charismatic human. There needs to be more stars available to add to this review - great doesn't quite match the service and quality, it should say extraordinary. Thank you Amanda for taking such good care of me all these years and to the owner and all the staff as well. Names provided on their website. Sitting in my styling chair and having Kim take care of me, I was actually quite impressed. Not only was she a delight to deal with but she's an absolute expert at what she does...I received exactly what I was looking for. I was really enjoying myself...the energy, the vibe and knowing I was in good hands with Kim who was cutting my hair for the first time. I was in this Zen place thinking to myself in my chair ....finally I found my salon. ........................Until At the end, as I was checking out.....Luna charged me $120. I reminded her that actually Kim's fee for a woman's cut on the website is $100. She mentioned that this is the minimum and that it can increase based on the length of hair, quality of hair...and this and that....which is funny because they call you before the appointment and ask you all that stuff, but don't mention any price increase, until you have to pay....lol I asked her again and she said, the website is not accurate... wow...ok.... Anyhoo, I did find it a little disingenuous especially considering that Kim my stylist mentioned it was easy to cut my hair because of how healthy it is...so why the extra charge then?..... Anyway, moving on....Kim gave me a great cut and she's worth every dollar. What really pissed me off was something else..... I was paying cash, and as I handed Luna my bills she asked would you like change back? I said yes. Twice she asked me and then gave me this look like you're not leaving a tip?! She asked me again, you want ALL of it back?...Yes, I said....As I wanted to manage the tip situation with Kim herself upon a little chat before heading out. What made this even worse was, as Luna was giving me back my change...she dropped every single nickel, dime and Loonie on the desk. Before giving me ....this judgemental look. Every single minute of that enjoyable experience in that salon before checkout crashed and burned. Ok....I'll tell you....it wasn't even the money. I felt judged. I did speak with Kim afterwards outside only to be fair, as I wanted her to know, because she is a great stylist. However, it is exactly due to people like the front desk girl Luna cashing me out that I will not return here. I'm sad to say. Hair salons are like any other businesses. Reception is everything. The first thing the customers experiences and the last thing the customer leaves with...either brings them back or not. Interestingly, Upon arrival, the front girl was someone else and her energy and service matched an upscale environment, professional and courteous. Pity for them she wasn't the one at the front as I was leaving. If you are the reception for the evening, it is not your business how much tip clients leave or choose not to leave. It is however, your business to problem solve which she didn't do. At all. "The website is not accurate" is all she gave me with a blank stare. She didn't even attempt to ask or consult my stylist about the fee confusion, or to ask management to look into the matter and honor what could have simply been an honest misunderstanding. She just dropped my change as you would throw a street performer without a second thought, as to customer satisfaction or your own professional responsibility to the salon and its owner. If it weren't for Kim's great cut they'd only get 1 star.

However, when I sat down, Ada start to cut my hair and spraying water. I thought maybe she will wash my hair later. She didn't; she just said she would put some moroccan oil on my hair because my hair was dry. I was skeptical about it because when I was at another hair salon, the hairstylist put the moroccan oil after my hair has been washed. Then she asked Richard to turn on the curler. I felt odd because I didn't ask for my hair to be curly. I was the last customer of the day. She just kept cutting and then she curled the ends of my hair. She said, "I want you to have a different style. Do you know the star XXX? She looks nice with this hairstyle." But that is not what I'd asked for; I just want my hair to be straight with layers and the ends trimmed. She also said," I bought the curler for $100 but now curlers are so cheap, only $40 something. You see how I curled the hair? I will teach you next time." It was strange that she said that; no hairstylists would say that when they curled your hair. It was 30 degrees outside but she asked Richard to turn off the air conditioning. Saving electricity? I don't know why. She kept cutting then she asked me to stand up to let her see my hair. She said she would see my hair better if I stand up. If she cannot cut my hair using the mirror nor just by looking at my face while I was sitting, she is genuinely unprofessional. This is the first time that a hairstylist asked me to stand up in order for him/her to cut the hair. The phone rang after a few seconds, I sat down as she went to answer the phone. When she took off the towel on my shoulder and the protective coat that I wore after she finished cutting my hair. She said. "Wait, your hair." The she cut the ends of my hair again on my shirt and she said, "Don't move" as her scissor was close to my neck. It is really unprofessional for the hairstylists to cut the hair again after they took off the towel and the protective coat. She charged me the price of a single cut at the end. However, I never ask for a single cut only; I expect the haircut includes shampoo and blow dry. Also, I, the client, shouldn't need to stand up for her to see and to cut my hair; that just means she is unskillful. Moreover, she shouldn't cut the client's hair after taking away the towel and the protective coat from his/her clothes. Importantly, she didn't cut the hairstyle that I, the client, had asked for. She had done a hairstyle that she wants instead. If she is that arrogant, then I will just try another hair salon. P.S. After I washed my hair that night and the curls were gone, I realized that my hair on the right side is half inch shorter than my hair on the left side. I suspect that the good reviews were written by their relatives or friends, or just for a discount from the hair salon. Their prices are not cheap; same prices as other Chinese hair salons. The owners (Ada and Richard) are not professional at all, regarding their skills and service. There are better choices of Chinese hair salons in Vancouver.

I just got an ombre done on my hair by Jeremy and couldn't be more pleased with the results! Jeremy and I met first for a hair consultation where i explained what I was looking for and a few weeks later i was back in his chair ready for him to work his magic. I have very dark brown hair naturally and hadn't coloured my hair in about three years, so this was a very big change for me, and i have to admit i was kind of nervous wondering if I would end up liking this kind of style on myself. Jeremy and i decided together on the appropriate shade for the ombre (golden honey/caramel colour near the ends w/ some highlights on top to soften the contrast from going dark to light) Jeremy suggested we go a little cooler with the colour to avoid bringing out too much yellow in my skintone. Jeremy listened to all my ideas and then gave me his expert option, he is very skilled and knowledge about colour, which made it easy to take his advice and idea into consideration. It was nice to feel like we were collaborating on what would look/work best for me personally and seeing as I'm not a hairdresser, or colour master like him I was fully open and trusting of what he had to say.... I'm very glad I was too because my hair looks amazing now! My appointment took about three hours (I have very long hair) but Jeremy and I were so busy talking up a storm it felt more like an hour, opposed to three. I enjoyed talking with him about hair and his career as a colourist/stylist. Chemically Addicted is his baby and as the owner he is very passionate about his work and the work that his salon produces. He told me they have high standards and it doesn't matter if its him, or one of the other stylist/colourist working on someone's hair it needs to be PERFECT when any client leaves the salon there is just no other option... wow, talk about music to my ears!!! Here I was gearing up for a huge change and to hear something like that was great and put me totally at ease! Let me tell you, he wasn't just blowing smoke either, I left feeling great and like every hair was in place! Overall I would have to say I'm a total fan of Chemically Addicted and will FOR SURE being going back if/when I need another change! Jeremy is truly great at what he does and I would 100% trust his judgment moving forward with any sort of colouring I might want done. Something to mention is Jeremy primarily focuses on colour and extensions, so if you're looking for a great cut one of the other stylist will take care good care of you. I got my hair slightly trimmed by Angel after Jeremy did his thing and he was ah-mazing! Great sense of humour, so fun and easy going; he kept me laughing and laughing the entire time I was in his chair! He did a great job and did exactly what I asked for! Go check out Chemically Addicted if you're in the market for a new do, or something a little different for summer; you won't be sorry! read more

Finding a good hair stylist that is honest, won't overcharge you, and has the skills and talent to make everything fabulous is like finding a good mechanic. It doesn't happen often. Once you find that stylist you never let them go. This is my third visit here and my second review for this salon. I am pleased to say that I am now a loyal client of Chemically Addicted Hair, and I will never commit hair adultery (you know what I mean when you cheat on your stylist...). Jeremy is a color master. He's done a color correction on me and is getting me to my hair color goals. I originally started with a brown/black and he has gradually highlighted my hair to a light blond color. Every time I go I tell him my budget and that I want Texas Barbie/RuPaul hair and he delivers more than I could ever want. I know that I can trust him to do a fantastic job within my budget, and I have never left his chair disappointed. I have unruly hair that is chemically treated, and he has not failed me yet. He also does Great Lengths extensions. Male clients! I highly recommend Chuck for barbering! I watched him with one of his male clients and I was impressed with the time and detail he put into his work (I know this because I was blatantly checking out his hot client). Every hair was groomed to specification, and every line was meticulously cut. Men's appointments are the same length of time as women's cuts so if you're looking for a stylist that will put care into your cut I recommend Chuck. Reede assisted with the foils on my hair, and I would recommend him if you have an idea that is a bit outside of the box. He had a hand print bleached into in own head last time I was here, so I'm sure he can handle anything funky and off the beaten path. Last but certainly not least is Cody. Cody is a budding stylist, so if you're short on cash but want chemically addicted quality give him a try. He was trained in the salon, and was mentored by Jeremy so he has the makings of a good stylist. He also takes great care with his work, and really does his best to make sure the client is happy. He does my blow outs and cutting, and I am always pleased with the longevity of his blowouts and the quality of his hair cutting skills. He also takes all of my teasing and insults with more grace and humor than anyone I have ever met. This salon has it all. All of the stylists are awesome and it is always a pleasure to come here and get my hair done. I walk out looking amazing every time, and now that I have searched all over Vancouver for a decent salon I am happy to say I'm in a monogamous hair relationship with Chemically Addicted. read more

I just wanted to take the time to write a review about Chemically Addicted. In my humble opinion, this salon really is as good as it gets, it's by far my favorite salon, and I've only been there once :) Over the last 10+ years, i've gone to various different salons and stylists, everything from low-scale to high-end/ downtown places, but have had trouble sticking with one salon due to service, quality and price. I decided to give Chemically Addicted a try because of the good reviews, and I'm soo happy I did. Now a little bit about the salon, its beautiful and inviting (love the chandeliers), and the staff is so unbelievably friendly and laid back, when you call in, they are super nice too. From what I saw, everyone was really happy to be there, and there was no stuffy competitive attitudes, which you sometimes see at downtown salons. About the service: I have very long, abundant, thick dark brown hair. I wanted to go for a lighter tone, some caramel and light brown shades, and so I went to see Jeremy. Jeremy is a real pro, in my opinion, he should be working in hollywood, with all the movie stars and models, his work is really amazing, he knows what he is doing. Not only that, but he is NICE, really truly nice, and he listens, he makes you feel at home and talking to him is like talking to an old friend, which makes the experience of getting your hair done really wonderful. Because my hair is so long and took up so much product, it took a long time (also because it was a pretty big change, and my first time with all over colour)...and you know what Jeremy did? He offered me cookies and a bite to eat. How nice is that?? The end result was soo beautiful, I am super happy with my hair, and Ive been getting some really nice compliments from co-workers :) Cody blow-dried my hair, and he is also super nice and attentive, he made it look extra special because I told him I had a big night out the next day. Regarding cost, in all honesty, it was worth every penny, because of the huge change, amount of hair, and amount of product and time spent, it was a very reasonable price. At the beginning of the appointment, he told me what the price would be, and that's the exact price I paid...this is nice because I've had a bad experience with this part before. Thank-you Jeremy and staff, for being so wonderful and professional, I'm looking forward to my next visit and please keep up the great work! read more

I have never written a post about a service I received but because Jeremy (the owner) went the extra mile for me this is the least I could do for him. Last week after my sweet old mother who is a retired hair dresser attempted to give me the ombre look and it turned out blotchy, I thought I would go back to her the following week to highlight the top half of my hair. After several hours of bleaching and box dying, my hair was a nightmare! My husband was so disappointed at how awful my hair looked he decided to do his research online and came across these Yelp reviews about Chemically Addicted Hair salon. He sent an email on Sunday morning to Jeremy telling him about our situation and my hair disaster, with an email response shortly after from Jeremy. He calmed my nerves, told me to come in and he will take a look. When I walked in the salon I felt a great atmosphere, beautiful chandeliers, sky blue ceilings and a lot of open space. I went to his salon thinking he would offer to colour my hair black or dark brown with no other options, but to my surprise his idea was the one I was hoping for, to keep the blondes (get rid of the ash green) and darken the base to a warm brown (it was orange!). I showed him a photo of what look I was going for and he promised he would do his best. During my appointment he was very respectful and thoughtful while listening to my story about mom colouring my hair, never making me feel awkward like some hair stylist do, especially if they hear that you box dyed your hair! The results of my hair colour shocked me. I thought there was no way he could colour correct my hair but to my surprise he did!! He is he is passionate about what he does and is an artist. Not only his colouring skills amazing, but his scalp messages were ridiculously relaxing. I finally found "the one" who I can trust to colour my hair and make me feel like a million bucks! To everyone looking for a great place for hair, for a place that would make you feel like a socialite, for a place that BELIEVES that you are fabulous, look no further.... CHEMICALLY ADDICTED CHANGED MY LIFE. Okay, they're not the sole reason I am the person I am today, but they played a huge part. I was going through a rough patch in my life. I hated my skin, my hair was boring, I hated how I looked, which effected me as a whole. I was a train wreck. I got fed up with being miserable so I went to a dermatologist and within days my skin was as smooth as a baby's ass. I felt a transformation coming about. My next step, to go insane with my hair. I got a consultation with Jeremy (the owner) and it was decided that my hair be dyed "menstrual red" (we decided that it was appropriate). After 5 hours, and a great deal of dye, I walked out, went to work, and have never held my head so tall. It's been 6 months since I changed my hair colour, and I will never regret this decision. I not only feel great physically, but I hold myself in a way where I show people with just my smile, that I am confident. I work as a server, and everyday, I get people asking me about my hair. I tell them about Chemically Addicted. I know red hair is popular, but you have to maintain it. Jeremy does a great job with that. He reads personality and is not afraid to give his opinion, which so many stylists seem to be scared of doing! I love myself, and I love how I look. You should too! :D read more

I moved to Vancouver last fall, and I've been avoiding getting a haircut because I was dreading trying to find a new salon in the city. After walking by their new location several times I decided to go out on a limb and give the salon a shot. They were fantastic! I recently had my hair bleached for a gig, and they were great about fixing my barbie-yellow hair. Kaede was my stylist and she did a fantastic job with both my cut and colour. I would highly recommend her to anyone, but especially to colour-phobes like myself! She took the time to explain what they could do for me, including showing me colour swatches and going through the pricing. She very clear about what we were going to do before beginning, and made me feel very confidant and comfortable from the moment I sat down. They even recorded and filed a little 'recipe' card, noting the colour formula they used so we can match it if I want the same colour on my next visit. It wasn't cheap - but you get more than what you pay for. And a good cut, and especially colour is worth the investment. I've tried to cheap out on cuts before and sorely regretted it. Most importantly, Kaede was friendly and clear - making sure I was on the same page as her every step of the way. I highly recommend the salon and Kaede. I couldn't be happier with my cut and corrective colour. read more

Let me start by saying I am extremely fussy about hairdressers. I have been living in Canada for over 6 years and I was changing hairdressers nearly every 6 months. Then one day, my husband and I were walking along Davie and I stumbled across Chemically Addicted and booked my first appointment with them out of sheer desperation to find a good hairdresser. Its been 2 years since that day i have never looked back. I get my hair cut by Reede who does an amazing job making my hair look full even though i have fine whispy hair. My hair is coloured by Jeremy (the owner). My natural colour is this awful dark mousy brown BUT Jeremy is such a master at what he does that i have been a happy platinum blonde for just on 2 years and I am the nappiest with my hair i have ever been. He isn't scared to tell me when I have stupid ideas (like going red) or encourage me to push my boundaries. He always manages to go above and beyond my expectations. The entire staff are very friendly, welcoming and it feels more like a family than a hair salon. I love how crazy they go with decorating the salon for all the different seasons and the renovations have added even more space and charm to a great location. i will NEVER go anywhere else. read more

If I could I would give them 100 stars I would! I called these guys at the last minute on a Friday needing an up-do done on the Sunday for my wedding and they were able to fit me in in the morning. I was so revealed! On top of that my stylist, Gavin, was AMAZING and really knows what hes doing!! At first I was a little worried because I have recently cut my hair very short (well... its just shoulder length but that is short for me having come form hair down to my bum!) and was worried that if I had a bun it would look really little. He really listened to what I wanted, I showed him a few pictures and he transformed my short hair into a gorgeous full and thick up-do that curved around the base of my neck. I had a hair piece that the florist had given me and he made fit in beautifully! He was so meticulous, making sure everything would stay in place for my ceremony at 4pm (I got my hair done at 11am). It stayed so perfect for ceremony I couldn't have been happier! Also it was very reasonable in price I thought for such a beautiful hair style, which was bonus for it being so last minute. I don't know how else to say it- GAVIN IS AMAZING!!! read more

I have really difficult hair, it's very thick and naturally curly which most stylists can't deal with. Getting any kind of shape is very challenging and good layers are essential but most stylists haven't a clue that the curls exaggerate everything and the weight of my hair makes judging where the length will end up incredibly difficult. Most of them just douse my head in water, use a fine tooth comb and treat it like any other thick hair, then they wonder why I don't tip well and don't go back when it ends up looking like a mop. I found Lacey at her previous salon. I probably wouldn't have gone to CA if it weren't for her as it's nowhere near my home or work, but I will stick with Lacey forever. She took control and gave me style the first time around and I've never looked back. Her cut is so good that I can leave it for a couple of months (yes, seriously) without it losing its shape although I would love to go more frequently if my schedule permitted it. Aside from her skill, she's gorgeously cute and funny and incredibly modest which is really charming. I can't rate her highly enough. read more

Awesome, awesome, awesome! I have been going to Chemically Addicted since April 2010. After colouring my own hair for a year (I went from blonde to black on my own, which was a stupid, stupid idea) I had just done a colour correction and the stylist I'd gone to really botched my hair up. Chemically Addicted was opening 2 buildings down from my apartment, so out of convenience I figured I would see if there was some way they could fix my hair. I called and spoke with Trevor, who recommended I come in and see Jeremy. When I stopped in to see Jeremy, he did a few test strands of colour and explained what he'd do to fix the situation. I came back the next day and he did just that - fixed my hair and made me look more like my usual, blonde self! A month later, I had Great Lengths extensions installed and have been hooked ever since - yes, they're expensive but they last me 5 months and look 100% natural. If you've ever considered hair extensions, or are looking for a new colourist or stylist, I recommend coming here...you will not be disappointed! http://chemicallyaddictedhair.com read more

Nothing but positive things to say about Chemically Addicted Hair. After moving to Vancouver from Ontario and having the same colourist for over 10 years back home, I was on a hunt for a long term relationship! Blondes can be tricky and I'm very particular. Before finding CA in Vancouver, I had a couple of terrible experiences (like BRUTAL!) and one half decent one but who really needed to settle down on their pricing. I literally paid less for my hair at the John Barrett Salon in Manhatten overlooking central park. Finally I found Chemically Addicted and I have been seeing them for almost 3 years which is about how long it has taken to correct the damage from the last person I saw. I see Jeremly for my colour and Taylor for my cut. I have also seen Reede and Gavin for cuts or blow outs. I really appreciated that they took as much time as I needed to consult with me prior to my first appointment. I never feel rushed and I love the friendly, fun, inviting, professional atmosphere there. So glad I found them read more

I got my hair done here a couple of weeks ago. And by "done" I mean my long-grown-out bob finally aquired reasonable shape, plus I went from dull light brown to mahogany. Going red is scary, especially if your natural shade isn't red or blonde, and I was pretty nervous about it. But even before my newly-colored hair was fully dried, I was already in love with the deep saturated red and couldn't take my eyes off the mirror. Reede was my stylist, and I am definitely going back to this guy. Aside from the colour being absolutely mesmerizing, there is another thing that I find very refreshing about this dye job: the colour is still there. It's been over 2 weeks at this point, and it barely faded. The stylist advised me to get this special shampoo with red pigment and wash my hair in cold water, and it worked like a charm. Even though red is the fastest fading colour. So yeah, this place is pretty awesome. I am a happy redhead now. I think I might try something even more adventures on my next visit. read more

Ok, so the day before my cousin's wedding I decided to cheap out and get my hair done for $30 (just needed a trim, I'm broke, so what). Of course, the woman absolutely butchered it, and apparently had no idea what layering was - despite me asking her to do it about 5 times. That was a disaster, so I hurriedly looked up reviews for a decent place, and found C.A. They booked me in just an hour later at short notice, and I had my hair saved by Lacey. I was seriously panicking about how horrible it looked, and Lacey restored my layers to their former glory, absolutely rescuing my hair from looking like a mauled spaniel. It also only cost $40, as she gave me a discount for being a new customer. I've been charged $70 in other salons on davie, so that seems pretty reasonable for how great of a job she did. I was so relieved I could have kissed her (she's really cute too btw), but seriously, she was super nice, skilled, and very helpful. read more

I have the worst hair in the world. I constantly look like I'm doing a walk of shame on a good day... until Angelito did my hair! Holy crap! The man is The Hair Whisperer! I've gone to "the top salons" in Vancouver and paid over 100 dollars for a cut and they've either butchered my hair or given me a boring white-girl-mid-life bob cut. Angelito gave me a perfectly balanced cut that was funky, fit my personality and I'm proud to walk away from Chemically Addicted Hair with, not only, an amazing cut that I can roll out of bed with and still look amazing, but a good friend and great conversation when I visit him at the salon! He is five foot five of pure talent, love and passion for his work. I haven't met a lot of people that truly love what they do but Angelito is one of them! Plus he has that sexy accent. Get your hair orgasm-ed by him! PS: Conditioner scalp massage... yeah... to die for. read more

In the 6 years I have lived in Vancouver I have finally found the hair salon for me. I've been going to chemically Addicted for over a year now and I am in love. All of the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. I have recommended all my friends on various occasions. I used to get my hair cut and coloured by two separate people. Then when my colourist moved on my stylist took over and I cannot gush enough about him. Angelito is one of the best hair stylists I have ever had. He takes his time with every client and makes sure they leave feeling happy and stunning. He recently did an ombre on me and I can't even being to count all the compliments I have received. He listens to exactly what you're going for and will put his all into it. I honestly would 100% recommend chemically Addicted to any and everyone. read more

I stopped into Chemically Addicted on a recent trip to Vancouver for a cut and colour. Having long hair and a solid colour, I find too many hairstylists say "oh that's easy"- generally followed by a very basic cut. But I have tons of curly hair that isn't easy to work with and need a skilled stylist who can give me a great cut. The wonderful and charming Angelito didn't fail - he was careful but confident, took charge, knew exactly what he needed to do. I came out with the best cut I've had in years, a rich colour, and had the pleasure of great conversation. I'll certainly be back to see Angelito any time I'm back in Vancouver! (Not to mention the fact that he chased me about 5 blocks after I left the salon to return my sunglasses that I'd accidentally left behind. Such a sweetheart!) read more

I had my first appointment at this salon with Cody yesterday and I have nothing but good things to say. Firstly I LOVE my new haircut! Cody took the time to work out exactly what I wanted, he was so lovely and friendly throughout my appointment. I have very thick hair so it always take hairdressers longer than normal to cut / blowdry etc ( which I forgot to mention when making my appt ) so eventhough I was the last appt of the day, he stayed back late to ensure I had an amazing cut and blowdry. And unlike other salons I have been to, I still got charged the same rate as quoted over the phone depsite the extra time spent due to the thickness on my hair. Cody is not only an amazing hairdress but a lovely genuine person. I can't wait until my next appt. Thanks Cody! From Erin :) read more

Jeremy, the owner of this Salon, is The Color Master. In my opinion he sits at the top for the entire city. He also does Great lengths extensions combined with his skill for color, blending, no one could ever tell you even have extensions. He did mine for over 10years, no one ever knew, and damn did the compliments flow everywhere I went! Sadly I moved away and have now gone through stylist after stylist that still haven't come close to what Jeremy was able to do and at much higher price points. I'm not one to leave reviews esp on this subject, since no one knew I had hair extensions but Jeremy deserved this review from me long ago. Thanks Jeremy! You always went above and beyond for me, and I know my perfectionist ways made me a pain in the a**. read more

If you want to get a mind blowing balayage and haircut i will strongly recommend you to visit Jacob (hair colorist ) and Reed (hair cut) at Chemically Addicted on davie street. I had a general idea about my balayage and hair but i couldn't even imagine that my hair will look so amazing after my appointment. Jacob and Reed are real geniuses at what they do. More than that Jacob and Reed are so much fun that i did not even notice when 4 hours have passed. More than that my hair looks like from a glamour magazine. If you want to get a really amazing experience and hair i will strongly recommend Jacob and Reed from Chemically Addicted on davie. P.s. the prices are extremely affordable. read more

Three years later and my hair is healthy, shoulder length and blonde. It's been a long process to get my hair blonde - since going from dark to light can be damaging, but it's been a fun process and I've loved seeing my hair nice and light. So much so that I don't think I can go back to having raven black hair anymore. I always feel like I have a glam squad when I come in here. Since I have quite thick hair I tend to spend 5-6 hours in the salon w/ everything that gets done. Michael always colours my hair and John cuts it. John is fabulous. I show him a photo of the style I'm thinking and he brings that image to life for me. At this point, I trust their opinions so I usually show them a photo and if they have any other suggestions I tell them to just go for it. I also love the Olaplex treatment that they put in my hair. This leaves my hair feeling shiny, healthy, and strong, months after I get it done. For hair that is constantly getting coloured, this is amazing! Can't wait for their second location to open up in Mount Pleasant! Brush brings all my hair dreams to life and I can't thank them enough! They overcharged me on my first online purchase (Dec. 2021). I had to complain and make sure they followed through with a refund, received credit. So much wasted of time. Wanted to support local, and it had been years, so used credit towards second purchase, and they ship me an intimate item that I didn't want (I emailed them confirming this), acknowledged their error eventually, sort of, hours of back and forth later... and then took OVER SIX MONTHS to give me my money back - more than one email and phone call per month to get my money back, which they agreed to, sent the product back - crickets... and then they tried to give me a credit instead of the refund they had promised. I tried to speak with the owner after the manager botched helping me and multiple calls later, crickets again. HORRIBLE customer service (NO customer service?) I will NEVER shop there again. If you don't want to waste hours and hours of your life, and have a second job to keep them accountable... don't shop there either. Shameful behaviour for a company from one that claims to be women friendly, making me feel ashamed at every turn for trying to hold them accountable... battling them saying they can't return an intimate private item that they should never have shipped me... gross. The last time I needed was more invisible load, effort away from work and away from my kids with the assumption that I could just float the company 3 digits for over 6 months. Shame on the owners. I'd tell them how they could have made this experience better but they refused to call me back, clearly didn't matter to them. I am left wondering - What is the chance that 2 for 2 purchases went badly, purchases made with years between them and that those are the ONLY purchases that go badly with them? yikes. Original purchase date: May 11 2025 (many emails went completely ignored by them) Item shipped back to then in July (many more emails ignored by them ) Refund FINALLY issued Oct 16th 2025. If you are currently having issues with them, call them and speak with (edited female employee's name out at the companies request), an outlier in the company, who deserves to run the place before they ruin it. Follow up with an email with your agreement/understanding so they can't deny and lie to you like they did to me.

After getting tired of my mangy long hair, I did a little research and found this cute little salon. It's a big space and they have great COVID safety protocols in place, making it feel like a very safe experience. I came in with a couple of photos on my phone of what I want and Sandra gave me exactly what I wanted. She even clarified when I misspoke about what I wanted. It was a very easy process. I hadn't really talked to a stranger for longer than 5 minutes since March, so I was a little feral around the edges. Sandra made it a very comfortable experience. In less than an hour, Sandra helped change me from Aughra from the Dark Crystal into an adorable elfling. If I was staying in the Vancouver-area, I would definitely return.

Place…read more That being said let me tell you, I had been wandering from salon to salon all over the Riley Park and Mount Pleasent area, up and down Main Street, getting my hair cut for years, and growing out bad hair cut after bad hair cut. Everywhere I went to seemed like they were more in to being trendy (what Main Street is known for, I know) than actually doing anything good with hair. I don't have difficult hair other than its a bit thin. It's got a teeny wave to it but mostly it sits 98 percent straight, and so I don't require miracles to have a decent haircut, but from Trim to East Vanity Parlor all I got was nonchalant service and awful cuts from stylists who just didn't seem to care if they managed to get a loyal client out of me, it was sad because I wanted a Salon I could go loyally to, as the girl at my last place (Joji's on Commercial, and that place closed YEARS ago) quit to move up north. I'm pretty easy going but sadly I just didn't connect with any of these places. I got a rec to come to Bangs from a random person on the internet (scary, right), to the stylist Sandra. I was skeptical but after every bad haircut what was one more? She is AWESOME. She is incredibly friendly and actually has an opinion on your hair and didn't just half ass a similar style to the picture I brought in but chatted how she could make it work with my hair and what would work and gently told me what might not work. She has has a fantastic attitude and I can't recommend her enough. She's stylish, cool AND can cut your hair amazingly. She's all sorts of sassy, and she makes you feel comfortable. If you're unsure I'd you might like to give Bangs a go, do it! The ambiance is nice and relaxing and I've only ever seen the girls in there as incredibly friendly and eager to help and they seem to connect with their clients and walk ins alike. They all seem to like what they're doing, they're not just there to hang out and be 'cool'. A big plus for me!
