Second coming here for the self car wash and second time there was no soap or wax. This is about 4 months apart. Pretty shitty for you to not have any soap as it seems from the previous post that this is a common issue at this car wash. read more

The car wash with automated brushes did a so so job... however, the car wash ripped off my back windshield wiper ... I have a new car. I had to replace not only the wiper blade but the entire wiper arm. The owner would not reimburse me for the large expense. read more

Absolutely worthless car wash, both the touchless and soft cloth. Large areas of dirt left untouched especially any trim area, grill, rocker panels, and lower fender areas among other spots. read more

I wrote a very negative review of this car wash back in 2018. I have had no choice but to go there, as there are no other self car washes in the entire area I live. NO hot water, only cold. NO soap at all. As other reviews here state, the water is NOT properly softened and leaves white spots. The owner is the nastiest, hateful and confrontative person imaginable. He screams at you; tells you off, refuses when you request a refund. Once, after having put their over-priced charges in the machine, and got nothing but cold water for the entire 5 minutes, I go and tell him, and ask him to run the water until it it hot. He tells me to spend the money to run it until it gets hot (most of the time, it never changes from cold. I also do not believe that he maintains the reverse osmosis unit that removes the particles and the extreme hardness of the well water that comes from that town. The body shop I go to if I ever have the need, is an exceptionally honest and highest quality business. The owner told me that he gets the exact same well water as Chelsea, and that it is the worst water as far as hardness, sediment, particles that can ruin a car's paint. He treats it with a special unit. From what you see on your car after "Cleaning it" with Chelsea's units, it is painfully clear it is not properly treated, and you are getting some untreated water from the recollected water from all the dirty cars being washed! This is beyond belief, and despicable. The last time I went there, there were 3 bays that were washing their cars, so there should have been hot water. I asked the patron in the bay next to me, and he had the same issues - NO hot water, NO soap, and he had many experiences at this car wash that were exactly the same, and he stated the owner was a nasty a**hole. When I have no choice but to go there next time, I will ask other users if we can exchange names and numbers and then proceed to take action from there. By the way, the last time I reviewed this place, someone claiming to be the owner's daughter had the nerve to send me a message, telling me his father is a wonderful person, and that he had some rough times, and that he has hot water and soap, etc. etc. Everyone should be aware of what they are getting at this place, and it is damaging their paint, and the owner(s) will mistreat, abuse, refuse to do anything, and even tell you to LEAVE. read more

I went there yesterday 1/11/22, to rinse the salt off my car, knowing that there wouldn't be any soap because there NEVER IS! However, it needed the rinse, if nothing else. After the 5 minutes of cold water rinsing (on the "soap" setting -but never saw a bubble), the reader said my card was charged $3.71. This morning I looked at my bank account and Chelsea's Car Wash charged me $15.00 even for that rinse. WTF? This is criminal. How does this thief continue to get away with it? read more

Yes Taylor the owner is an ass. Have been coming here for 3 years on a regular basis. Nice kid always comes out to dry my car. I take good care of him too. Usually a $4 tip on a $6 wash. I brought my jeep here today to rinse the salt off and I went thru the automatic wash. The washer got hung up on my fender and broke three clips off so my fender is partially off the side of the jeep about 15 inches. I went to find Mr wonderful. I was very nice to him and he tried to put it back on but could not. He said he had video and I must have hit something...then he got rude and nasty, blaming me for it. He then scurred inside and hid from me. He is very confronfrontational, rude to a woman and an over all jerk. Make a long story longer his equipment needs adjusting and for $10 in 3 plastic clips he lost a customer for good, the nice kid that works for him just lost money out of his pocket because the owner is an ass and I will be telling my friends about this. Humm. . What he should have done is refunded my my money and given me a free wash. I would have been gone. No problem. I am a very nice person and if he was nice and acted like a businessman and not a jerk, this would have never been written. Go somewhere else.. read more

Long write up but bottom line is do not do business here!!!! I have been going to get my car wash since it opened. Last Saturday morning I went to the soft cloth car wash paid $8.00 and no soap came out. When car finished it's cycle I drove around to front office and told the tall guy with glasses no soap came out. He went back room to review tape (?) and come back out then went back again. He said he could not see tape and he could not do anything. He gave me two dollar voucher and I said it cost me $8.00. He smartly said will your car got clean because brushes and cloth cleans car. I told him I will never come back or recommend this business. It didn't seem to bother him at all. I'm in my 60s and I expected some explanation. My wife was waiting in car and I told her he didn't seem to care at all. She said I wonder if he showers without soap. read more

The guy that owns this place is the biggest asshole in the state of Illinois. He should not even be in business! So today I get my car washed and started to pull out apparently as the brush rack wasn't quite fully returned to it's home position. The automatic dryer doesn't start up so go into the office to complain. Taylor the jerk wouldn't even talk to me other than I'll review the tape. After several minutes he send some huge lackie out to tell me rather rudely "it's all you dude - you started to move before the washer was done so it's your fault" and he abruptly turned and walked back in. Taylor wouldn't even come out of his little hiding room. I will NEVER use this place again. I am SO HAPPY that the Speedway at Kelsey and 14 will have a car wash and finally some reasonably priced gas. Between asshole Taylor, his prick lackie, and the Shell in FRG charging confiscatory gas prices ALL my gas and wash business will go to Speedway. Piss off Taylor! read more

Car wash says foam wash. I have been to many automatic car washes and always get a thick foam application. This car wash basically sprays a very diluted solution of I don't know what...no suds looks like water. If I am going to pay for a foam bath, I expect that. $8.00 is a lot for or nothing, and the wheel scrubber is useless. Pay $6.00 more and get the windows cleaned, car dryed, and vacuumed.. read more

If you want a good touchless wash, go somewhere else! The application of what is suppose to be soap is not more then some watered down solution that just doesnt work. They are trying to save money at your expense. Also, will never go back for an oil change as they use the cheapest paper oil filters you can get. I always had low oil pressure after a change (20 psi)and engine would start to knock. I assumed it was my oil pump. After I changed my own oil and installed a very good filter, oil pressure returned to 45 psi and haven't had an issue after that! read more

The underwash didn't work right. It sprayed the front wheels but shut off before it could hit the rest of the car. The touch-free wash was broken - it just went back and forth on one side. I brought this to the attention of the management, who tried to tell me that is how it supposed to work. First, I had been using that carwash for a few months and knew the difference. Second, I'm in my fifties - dude - I know how a carwash works. Maybe because I have out-of-state plates, he thought he'd never see me again. Maybe because I have gray hair he thought I wouldn't write a review online. There are plenty of carwashes around here. He never did see me again, but that was because of his broken machine and crappy customer service - not to mention what I considered a personal insult to my intelligence. read more
