LOOKING FOR A NEW DENTIST? LOOK NO FARTHER! CALL THIS OFFICE TODAY IF YOU WANT THE BEST!…read more I actually see Dr. Lewis in this office but have seen Dr. Sutherland in the past. It had been years in between visits and I envisioned at least two crowns, fillings and I had some major chips in my front teeth. I also had exposed roots from receding gums so I expected a referral for oral surgery. NOPE! Dr. Lewis was able to save and fill all my teeth INCLUDING the exposed roots. Saved me THOUSANDS $$$. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE DENTISTS.!!! The work is amazing! No one would ever know that I had fillings in my front teeth! Beyond that.... (phew I could go on!) This is easily the kindest group of dental professionals and front office staff I've EVER seen. The office is calming, spotlessly clean and they are fast getting you in. Payments are thoroughly explained and as a courtesy they sent a superbill to my insurance even though they aren't in network. Lastly, I have (had) EXTREMELY sensitive teeth, especially the ones with the roots exposed that were worked on. Dr. Lewis was really gentle, making sure I wasn't in any discomfort. The atmosphere from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave is warm and inviting like I have never seen in ANY doctor's office.

I have seen Dr. Wilson both with dental insurance and without. When you have insurance, he is obligated by contract to charge your copay. If yu pay cash (not debit or credit card) he (as of 06/26/20) offers a cash discount. His relationship with his staff is priceless (code for funny and special) and he gets away with stuff I am sure other employers wouldn't but he has truly happy staff. And as far as I am concerned, he has happy patients as well. I would also like to add that Dr. Wilson doesn't shy away from difficult cases. I have periodontal issues which required a referral to Dr. Blasengame, and I am in ortho with Dr. Shoff. Doing a crown prep on a patient in braces is challenging at best and Dr. Wilson has never once shied away or made me feel like the particulars of my case made his life difficult (which I know they have!). Also, Dr. Wilson has pointed out that because of my teeth being crowded and twisted, it is much more difficult for me to keep them clean until I am out of braces. Dr. Wilson has NEVER ONCE made me feel bad for the challenges I have or the condition of my smile. I can't say the same for previous dentists. So when you are ready to be treated with respect and compassion by a dentist at a fair price, go see Dr. Shawn Wilson!

Normally, I don't review unless the business is superior. Normally, I just move on if I don't like…read morethe service or interaction. However, in this case, I believe it is incumbant upon me to provide a review. I've been a patient of Dr. Tom Mullen's since he bought the business from the previous owner 30 years ago. Dr. Mullen is personable and skilled, but over the years, I've noticed quite a lot of personnel changes. A few years ago, I lost my insurance, and his wife Emily who runs the office would not even allow me to come in for teeth cleaning, much less get dental care because I had Partnership. When I got Delta, I went back in for a crown. The disrespect and disdain was still present. But as I said, I just overlooked it. The crown had some difficulty staying affixed and after repeated visits, it appeared to be solved. Each visit seemed to increasingly irk Emily. Some months later, the crown came off again and the office was closed for several weeks for family vacation. Upon opening, I made an appointment, but they couldn't get me in for three weeks in the afternoon. The day before the appointment, the crown came off and broke. When I came in, all they did was take xrays, and attempt to put me out another three weeks. I expressed my frustration of having this long delay (as it takes 10 min to re-cement a crown) contribute to breaking of the crown, and nothing but film and another three weeks of delay. Emily became exceptionally rude and yelling, told me that my comments about their delay were unwelcome, that it was my tooth's fault, that they didn't need my business, and that my insurance Delta was awful and no other dentist would take it. Her husband approached and offered to do it during his lunch as the earliest opportunity, which was very gracious, and in the midst of telling him he didn't need to give up his lunch, Emily interjected and screamed "That's exactly what you asking him to do." The day of the appointment, Emily went back to tell the staff and Dr. Mullen that I was there, and stated "I hope you enjoy not having a lunch today." Tom and the staff all laughed their derisive laugh. To date, the crown is still affixed, but if you have any self-respect, go elsewhere, like most of the staff have done.

Stay away from this dental practice. They discriminate against patients who do not speak English as…read moretheir first language. I called to schedule an appointment for a family member, explained to them that I would be translating for the appointment. They said it was okay and did not even ask what language. They called about a week before to confirm the appointment and when the topic of having me interpret for the appointment came up they told me I couldn't. When I asked if they could instead offer an interpreter service they said no and that they don't have those services. They automatically assumed that we needed Spanish and said someone in their office speaks Spanish but only on Thursdays. I explained that Spanish is not our language, and asked once again since they are refusing to let me translate, if they could provide someone to translate. They said no, and that they wouldn't be able to proceed. I tried to explain that healthcare providers are required to provide interpreters under Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act and ADA. They claimed they weren't aware of such laws. The office manager name is Kasey and she was so un empathetic of the situation. As a healthcare professional myself, I always provide services to any and all patients regardless of their language and gladly offer language services. It's a basic right, which clearly this practice does not understand. Will be reporting to the Dental Board.
