Beware coming here & parking outside. Thieves wait until you go in and then do a quick smash on your car window.
Emy B.

The one star is just really for the outside parking. The staff are helpful inside. Beware when you park outside this establishment. If you come with someone let one of you stay with your parked car! Lots of homeless people and robbers scope out the parked cars and do a 'smash & grab' while you're inside. They do this even if you don't have visible items in your car. Sucks. Gotta allow karma and the universe take care of whoever did this to our car.

Worst customer service ever. Purchased a gutless emotion blender and was told to check my warranty. Give me a freaking break.

Hubby & I spent a good hour going up & down the aisles this morning Sunday around 11:30am. We were looking for spice organizers and found what we needed. And to top it off, they were having a 30% off friends and family sale off most items in the store. We were very pleased their small kitschy items were back. Items you don't need but want. Orders cannot be edited once placed, even shortly after checkout, which often results in unwanted or duplicate items being shipped. In my case, shipments have arrived incomplete, yet returns are still pushed to in-store visits rather than offering streamlined return shipping. For customers who make an effort to meet minimum order thresholds and consolidate purchases, the lack of flexibility is frustrating. The garment bags in particular were disappointing in quality -- bulky and lint-shedding -- not what I expected at this price point. The issue feels less like individual staff and more like backend systems that aren't customer-friendly. Until the ordering and returns process improves, I'll likely limit purchases to only items I can evaluate in store.

This place, of course, carries only their own brand, Pacific. When you go in, there are a total of maybe 7-8 different models in the store. There are also misc cookware that you can purchase towards the back of the store. The sales lady asked if it was for our personal use or rental property. Since it was for personal use, she only showed us 2 models. I mean, she was pretty nice, but we wanted choices to select from. When we asked to see the others along the wall, she didn't want to show us and just says that it's cheaper models and not as suitable for personal use. Mostly for rental properties where you would replace more often. I can understand that, but since the cheapest of the 2 models she showed us was about $600, We still wanted to see all the options. But nope, she insisted for us not to even look at them. So, in a way, I felt like she was just pushing the 2 most expensive ones to us. We looked at other places after we left there and found the exact models she showed us. It costs less in other stores and we were told that those are older models and there are better newer ones. Why wouldn't their own retail stores carry or show us the newer models?

Before Charlotte I had talked to 2 other designers (other companies) to mock up a kitchen, but they completely failed to listen to the design brief and spec'ed a cookie cutter kitchen that was a poor use of the space. Charlotte carefully listened to what we want*, and then delivered on the design with great suggestions. She was the only designer we talked to that had both the talent and empathy to deliver. She is detail oriented with both the usability of the kitchen and measurements, and is also able to have good discussions about quality-cost trade offs: Will the ADU door open, with the fridge so close? Is there enough space on each side of the hob for cooking? Are the upper cabinets easy to reach? What materials to make the cabinet boxes? What custom elements are needed to create a built-in look, etc, etc... it just goes on and she's on top of it all! Gilman's then delivered the kitchen on time and drama-free, and also arranged a great carpenter to make some final adjustments. Highly recommend, will return for the next kitchen. *Brief: a kitchen with all the normal appliances in miniature, easy to reach storage, but with an open feel and clean sight lines,

The showroom is well laid out, two floors, attractive, not confusing, with a range of prices from, say, Delta, Moen and Kohler to higher end brands. (I think lower costs on the bottom floor, higher-end upstairs.) Free parking lot to the side of the building, which you need in the Mission. It's important to see and touch as many of these products as you can. We worked with Keoki Garner. He was well informed, timely, easily available, and collaborative. He stayed cheerful when I overrode him and then changed things last minute (due to my own mistakes.) I loved that I could do research on Build.com and then bring it to Keoki. He never upsold or resisted when I went, say, for Kohler over Grohe. Everything so far has been delivered impeccably and undamaged. Build.com offers an enormous range of products, and I like that too. You can return within a reasonable amount of time. We haven't started construction yet but almost everything is sourced and in the garage. We have a clear billing record so much came from Build.com. I ended up gravitating to some more expensive fixtures, but not because of pressure, because of my own preference. I'd definitely do business with Keoki and with Ferguson again.
