They make the fries from every day fresh potatoes and the potatoes are almost free of dark spots, because the remove them by hand, after the mashine washed and peeled them. Nederlands Onze laatste dag in het mooie Haarlem was bijna afgelopen om 4 uur zouden wij de bus pakken en richting het vliegveld. Mijn man had echter nog trek en wou wat eten, effe een snelle hap. We liepen onze hotel uit en vroege een voorbijganger aan om te vragen of hij een goede patatzaak kende, deze vriendelijke jonge man zei "The best Frites of Haarlem is that of the Vlaminck at the Warmoesstraat". We pakde onze kaart erbij en gingen zoeken, wat bleek de zaak is maar 5 min van onze hotel. Eenmaal gevonden viel ons gelijk op dat de frieten zelf gemaakt worden, voor de deur lag prachtige grote aardappelen. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door die daar werkt. De jongen maakt praatje met ons en vraagt waar we vandaan komen. Na gezellig gepraat te hebben met de jonge kregen wij onze patatje. Het zag werkelijk heerlijk uit, mooie grote frieten. De frieten waren perfect gebakken, ze waren heerlijk van smaak. Je kan gewoon proeven dat de frieten vers zijn. Na heerlijk gegeten te hebben gingen we de jonge bedanken voor die heerlijke friet en zijn gastvrijheid. Hij vroeg ons of wat nog wouden zien hoe het gemak wordt. We besloten om mee te gaan en zagen een oudere man die bezig was met het schillen en snijden van de aardappelen. Wij hebben de jongen (Aziz) beloofd dat wij zeker nog keer terugkomen, wat dit werkelijk de lekkerste patat die ik heb gegeten. Absoluut de moieite waard om te bezoeken.

Én het is beter op elkaar gelegd, goedkoper én sowieso schoner. HACCP hebben ze hier waarschijnlijk alleen van gehoord als ze het boekje moeten invullen. Je restaurant is je keuken. Janken. Service tijden worden gemanipuleerd door orders snel weg te klikken. De gaat wacht gerust nog 20 minuten langer. No, this isn't gourmet food, but for a fast food place this is a good one. The location is great for people watching. Yes, it is crowded. You can use the self-service kiosks, which are very easy, or you can order at the counter. This location has the McCafe concept so you can get a wide variety of coffee drinks. All of which are decent and at a reasonable price.The cappuccino was pretty good for what they charge. I'm not a huge McDonald's fan, but I can appreciate them for what they are. Cheap, dependable, edible. We liked the chili chicken sandwich off the McBreak snack menu. Fried chicken patty, lettuce, and a chili sauce. Simple. Tasty. Quick. They had a red berry McFlurry with red berries and meringue pieces when we were there in the summer of 2019 and it was actually pretty fantastic. We actually ordered it twice when we were in the Netherlands. Very similar to the menu in the USA but a few swankier options - including other burgers. I still can't get used to paying to use the potty . . .
