The service was attentive and friendly and the food tasty (with a few exceptions, see below). One of the earlier reviews suggested the mezze but I have to disagree. It wasn't as good as other ones we've had (gross Dutch-style egg salad, mushrooms in a canned tomato sauce) - but there is a delicious green spread in there that's worth getting as well as a couscous salad and some feta spread. We also ordered the "typical Turkish dessert" of warm dates and yogurt. It was six small dates barely warm with a gross port sauce and a scoop of yogurt. DO NOT ORDER IT, you will be massively disappointed as we were. That said, the lamb grill was good. Compared to Turkish restaurants I've eaten at in Amsterdam it was slightly more expensive.

Ana's is a deli where they make everything from scratch from dolmas to cous cous to stuffed peppers to roasted eggplant etc. Everything I've had here has been fresh and delicious. The staff is usually really nice and I enjoy taking out and eat somewhere else. The cous cous is second to none - if anyone can get me that recipe, I will die happy.

One of the first things that I noticed and thought was funny is a hanging fireplace, which is only through video in reality and doesn't put off any actual heat. The staff was very nice and helpful in explaining the tapas style menu along with giving various suggestions. I even had a brief moment to chat with one of the chefs and it looked as though they were having a good time back there. A happy chef is a good chef. Or is that a fat chef? Since it was lunchtime I only had two small plates. The hummus was fresh and tasty. I also had the broodje pita kaas. This was more of the thick Turkish bread rather that pita bread. The cheese in it was melted though with sautéed red onions. In the said was a yogurt dip and small salad. Overall a good experience.
