Ordered the Thai chili grilled shrimp tacos with a side of "crispy fries" which came out soggy and sponging with oil. For some reason the shrimp was deep fried, which I thought was odd, wasn't sure why at the time. I found out the likely cause when i bit into a leftover taco the next day to discover they don't devein their shrimp / dont purchase it already deveined. Been sick for a few days since having these. OMG .... freaking fantastic food. We had the Mongolian tacos and Buffalo flatbread both were outrageous! The tacos are tender, crunch from the slaw adds texture and the sriracha gives it a good kick. Plenty of meat inside of all 3 tacos. Pairs well with quadraphonic beer. The flatbread was incredible. Large portion with lots of toppings. Just couldn't get enough! Didn't want to stop eating it! Came for the beer and sliders pairing at Barrel of Monks in Boca. The overwhelmed staff was short with me when I inquired about my fries I ordered 35 minutes prior. The food was very good, but the wait times and attitudes that went along with it were less than optimal. When my wife, son and I recently visited the Barrel of Monks brewery in Boca Raton for the first time, we discovered the Cheffrey Eats food truck. The chicken and pork tacos were excellent. However, my wife ordered the pesto chicken flatbread, which turned out to be way too spicy for her taste. When the server was made aware of the issue, the food truck crew went out of their way to make her happy with a more satisfying food option. We were lucky enough to try this guy out. He was at a new cidar bar we were checking out. He is a food truck and this guy is awesome so excited about his food so into making great amazing tasty fun food treats yummies. His food is all top notch my husband had the PB&J burger he LOVED it his burger was amazing organic beef juicy filed with flavor. My GF had a dirty Sanchez burger she said it was the best burger she ever had i of course had to take a bite and dang it wish I ordered it out was 1 of the best burgers i ever had. I had his pippin jalapeño mac and cheese dang that was awesome and what a kick. He said they were the best burgers in south Florida and he DID NOT disappoint! Tonight's special was a Wake'N Bacon with a fried egg and maple to die for! The mac n cheese was also fire ! Maybe that's because we got the Holla! Poppin Mac n Cheese with fried jalapeños, pepper jack cheese and sriracha sauce but damn was it delicious! Very nice people. Unfortunately, the $8....oh sorry...$7.99 truffle fries were a greasy, soggy, salt-ridden inedible mess that had zero truffle flavor. None of us could even eat them. We threw them out. I was told the fries were truffle oil, sage and parmesan, but it tasted like powdered salt. Oddly, the aioli sauce on the side was fantastic so not sure how they could make such terrible fries. We will try the plain fries next time and hopefully will be able to modify this review. read more

We hired them for our recent company party and they were amazing and worth more than 5 stars! He came early enough to set up and be able to serve just on time. Everyone at the party said nothing but great things about the food! Him and his partner had GREAT customer service skills. He came over to the pavilion and introduced himself to us and told us how it would work. Everything was great, nothing but positive things. This review is based solely on the lack of customer service. My husband and I are both retired, and we love the new craft beer establishments in South FL, with the Food Truck trade being a positive enhancement to those establishments. We are on the older end of their marketing spectrum, but our expectations are based on personal experience. My husband was a decorated military officer and former commercial pilot, and I was a CPA working with advertising companies specializing in shopper marketing, so we have both worked as the creators of customer experience, and now we are the consumer. Tonight at 5pm, after my husband returned from a Veterans meeting, we went to BOM for a beer and sandwich. When we arrived, the CE food truck was appropriately parked in the Food Truck area. The lights were on, and the service windows were open. The marquee was on displayed in front of the truck. We entered and sat at the bar where the CE menus were on display both at the bar at several intervals, and on the tables. We ordered a beer, looked at the menu, and within 5 min of arriving, I went into the parking lot to place my order. "Sorry," I was informed,"We are closed!" Really? Seriously? "Here's 4 pieces of bacon", said a person who led me to believe he was the owner. He then went into a diatribe about how hard he works. His reaction was not about the consumer and it was not about service. We have eaten at the Cheffrey truck several times in two different locations, and enjoyed each time, until today. Which leads me to our review. Let's take a few steps back here, and talk about sustainability. There are dozens of food trucks in South FL. Most offer great to outstanding food, and the playing field and baseline are pretty level. The asset expenditures are the kitchens, trucks and the food inventory, which I imagine, are highly leveraged. Assuming that profit margins are low, and the entrepreneur expectations are high, it is my guess that owners either (1) hope to increase revenue via expansion, or (2) create a brand eventually open for franchise. But in order to achieve either given food truck competition, you need to create brand recognition, offer outstanding service, and create brand loyalty where each patron is equally important. May I preface this by saying that we are not one of those patrons looking for a freebie, and we are good tippers. But how could have Cheffery Eats better handled this situation? (a) When you are closed, you shut the windows and doors to the truck. You put up a "closed" sign. You collect the menus from inside the establishment. You bring the marquee inside the truck, for starters. You remove all indicators that show that you ARE in business. (I do not need to hear that you made an announcement 40 minutes prior to our arrival. If we knew you were closed, we would have hopped back in our car to go to a different location.) (b) Have available a "make good" coupon for a BOGO, or a couple dollars off your next visit, due to closing early, or for when the customer is disappointed for some reason. NOW you have created customer loyalty, and you have ensured that your "market" will return for a repeat visit. Who is going to survive in the Truck Food Wars? Saturation point is getting close. Most food is spectacular. How do you distinguish yourself from the others? Answer- Customer Service. Truck owners- please pay attention to your consumer. (Look at Tim S's 4 star rating.
