Friendly servers. Excellent food. Like seriously excellent. It's a rather unassuming place from the outside but once you're inside the atmosphere and ambience is fun but thankfully not obnoxious. I had the sea bass special and oh my god, it was the first time in a while that a bite of food made my eyes roll into the back of my head. I wish I had seen the dessert menu before I ate most of my entree, because the desserts looked really good. Next time I'll make sure to save room.

Save a trip to NOLA Come here instead and taste the flavors from a real chef and get spoiled from his attentive and professional staff I have been here many times and the last time we.noticed they were waiting for the Liquor License to be renewed. They are still on hold for this but it should not steer you away. Save the calories from the drinks and get dessert! I know. They will get their license back soon but their food stands on its own. Try the salads, soups, and pasta dishes. I LOVE the Linguini with Garlic Shrimp and Mushrooms. It is a revelation, an orchestra of flavors, a delightful creation. This place is a GEM The ambiance is eclectic, perhaps a little eccentric and fun and inviting.

Some friends recommended we go to Chef Rick's for lunch but they close at 2PM so when we called they told us to come on in even though it was 1:50! We were so grateful! It was my first time there and we ordered appetizers and entrees. It was incredible. Every single part of the meal! The next day I was dreaming about the dinner rolls they started us with! their portions are big as well! Everything is homemade! Absolutely incredible!

Food was okay and service was very slow. We went at opening time and it seemed the staff weren't ready. We want to go back to give a second chance but not sure yet. Restaurant was unique and different indoors than most places.

Came by for an early Thursday dinner. Arrived when they just opened. We were promptly greeted when we entered and given the choice to sit where we wanted. We ordered their "archie's new orleans-style barbequed shrimp" ($18) and their dinner special "16-ounce prime ribeye skillet steak" ($48). Complimentary warm bread basket was provided. Food came out timely and at the right temperature. My Archie's appetizer was excellent but I would prefer a harder bread for dipping up the broth as the bread provided kept falling apart when sopping up the broth. Steak option looked fantastic. The corn mixture was very tasty as well as the fried onion strings. The steak was cooked as requested but, to me, fell short in taste and texture. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Service was on point.

If you're looking for a meal that will pleasantly surprise you, and wake up your taste buds, look no further than Chef Rick's Ultimately Fine Foods in Orcutt. The flavors are bold, meld well, and one can tell that only quality ingredients are used. The menu offers cajun-like flavors and something for everyone, including several vegetarian options. The service is suburb, and we were not rushed through our dining experience. I had the Sea Bass Special, which was pan-seared to perfection, with a crispy, golden skin that gives way to buttery, flaky white fish inside. Layered below the sea bass is tender asparagus and fried mashed potatoes. And, topped with a beautiful cream sauce. It is absurdly delicious. My partner had the Grilled Monster Cheeseburger, with Rick's secret sauce. It was cooked to perfection and paired well with broccoli slaw lightly coated in a sunflower seed vinaigrette Scrumptious! Do not leave without ordering a slice of the Chocolate Pecan Pie. This pie is the "supreme" of desserts. It is baked perfectly with homemade crust, gooey dark sugar center, and drizzled with chocolate. I ate the entire, generous slice. One cannot help but notice the artwork on the walls. The restaurant doubles as a gallery, showcasing bold, colorful pieces from local artists that give the space a creative, soulful energy. It's the perfect backdrop for a meal that is, quite literally, a work of art itself. This is a "must visit" restaurant for locals and those passing through the Central Coast.

Ok, I went from loving this place to watching it fall apart. And I feel sad. So I went there with my friends a couple of months ago and noticed a big down turn in the quality and quantity of food. And was told that the food had not been changed. Well, I chocked it up to a bad night. Everyone has one, I didn't want to make a federal case out of it. Until tonight. We had reservations for taking our best friends there for a birthday celebration only to told that that liquor license had been gone for a few months now. Um, need to give a nice cheers to our guest of honor. Thanks for the heads up! Let's go to plan B.

This is vanilla ice cream with blackberries and blackberry sauce. It was delicious so is everything I've ever gotten there.

Chef Rick's is one of our favorite restaurants in town. We scheduled a reservation for my mom's 82nd birthday and they surprised us by having a handwritten menu with MOM's 82nd birthday at the top. They gave us a private table and they even gave us a dessert and the chef came out and sang. happy birthday with his staff. and my mom was so happy. All the food is absolutely delicious.

The food was delicious and the portions were HUGE. We ordered the shrimp quesadilla, patty melt, and grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was the favorite

Wow! This is a great spot. Great food, great service and great atmosphere…read more We had eaten at Jackos Steakhouse the night before and were so disappointed. Almost didn't come here as thought we'd end up with the same... Upon walking in we were greeted by hostess right away asking if we wanted to dine in bar, dinning room or patio. It was a nice night and contemplated patio but the bar lounge area looked inviting and chose the space with hair on hide backed booth and comfy chair. I settled in the corner booth, it was so comfy. Such a nice treat from the night before on hard wooden chairs at that other place... Our waitress was so nice and friendly. She was slammed but very attentive. Sitting back and watching the very busy bar, you saw locals coming and going and staff knowing them all. So encouraging. We settled in on the Bullseye, the largest version aka Ribeye and shared it. I went ahead and added an extra salad for me and just shared the rest of sides. Comes with a shrimp cocktail with the babiest shrimp, I've never seen them that tiny. I don't rate sea food so I just watched. The hubs likes sea food but prefers fried shrimp. He ate a few bites but again it's not really his thing. I got the side salad with ranch and he got clam chowder. He loved his clam chowder. I was pleasantly surprised at the mixed green salad. Everything was great! Steak cooked perfectly with great taste and tender. Baked potato was so good. The beans had a great taste, I'm not a huge bean person but something was up and I enjoyed a few bites and two slices of bread drenched in the bean gravy juice, so good! I asked for a side of chimichurri sauce (saw it on the menu), I used that for my steak and it was a great flavor adder; it didn't need it I'm just a sauce condiment person. We were stuffed but I decided to get dessert to go. Settled on the flourless chocolate mousse cake. Before leaving notice a couple tables over had what looked like a chocolate cake square with ice cream on top. I was hoping that wasn't what I ordered... because I was expecting more torte/mousse. Upon arrival at our RV I checked and yes I got what I was expecting! Even stuffed I just had to have a bite, OMG! So amazing. The slice of mousse cake/kinda like a soft torte came with fresh raspberries, strawberries and mint. A bite of that chocolate with a berry was heaven! The restaurant has such a great feel, think decor you'd find at ranches in Texas, plush seating, cattle pictures. We felt at home and can't wait to come back. Planning on the hubs getting his chowder us sharing beef skewers and a twice baked potato. He might just get two bowls of chowder! Then more dessert as they have a pastry chef on staff who likes to change up offerings.

We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza which was surprisingly delicious and the wife ordered a beer. We sat in the bar area and I decided to go with the self pour option where they give you a card to tap a sensor and select any beer on tap to pour yourself. Me and a buddy of mine had some issues with a few of the self pour taps where we just believed they were out of beer and it also over charged us. I told a server about my single issue where it over charged me and he said he would take care of it but my friend had the worst of luck. 2/3 beers he attempted to pour were simply out. This was when Jess, our savior came to the rescue. When it was time to pay the tab, she comped both of our orders. Mind you, I had 4 beers. Guess what the total was? Yeah, $28. Paid for my wife's beer and our pizza and because I had a single complication with the beer self pour station, she comped the 4 beers I had as well as my friend's order. This is Grade A customer service and a reason why I'd return to Blast 825 Brewery, so shoutout to Jess! We all appreciate you.

While I had high hopes for a good meal, the experience was significantly marred by several issues: Poor Service: We were largely ignored, with staff failing to address requests. The restaurant appeared severely understaffed, leading to incredibly long wait times for service. It took 25 minutes to be asked what we were drinking, and another 20 minutes for two beers to arrive Food Quality Issues: The food served was of low quality, specifically corn rib appetizer were ice cold , the tri-tip was very over cooked and was difficult to chew. My wife ordered the orcutt hill salad entree. The salad was missing two ingredients. Prosciutto and candied pecans. When asked about it the waitress said I will bring you some. She brought a cup of smoked ham, not prosciutto. She indicated that the kitchen was out of candied pecans. Don't you think that should be disclosed to the customer before ordering ? The salad was small, not an entree size. When we asked about seeing a manager, we got a bill with a neighborhood 15% reduction. When asked about that, I was told, that's all the manager is willing to do. Really ? I hope you take this feedback seriously to improve the experience for future guests. Sincerely, A Disappointed Customer

The only 1 minute drive back to the gun range in Santa Maria was grueling smelling that gravy... We were both were thrilled at the large portions. It was amazing! I love gravy and could have used a little bit more but honestly I think it was fine for a normal person plus remember we go to go order so I suspect it soaked up a little on the drive. The staff threw in pepper and Tapatio which the hubs loves. I had Yellow Bird Blue Agave Sriracha in my travel trailer and used a little on it. OMG! It was so good! The potatoes had a nice crunch on them. That gravy was amazing. The biscuit was great, had a bite and saved the rest for later. The hubs managed to eat his whole plate and was stuffed!
