I attended a house party in the Peninsula that had Chef's Gilly catering and I was so impressed! The presentation and the quality of the food were superb. The display of the food was super aesthetic and visually appealing. We were served heavy appetizers, such as coconut shrimp with mango salsa, beef and cheese sliders, spinach artichoke tarts, churros, chicken kebabs, and asparagus wrapped in salami. My favorites were the coconut shrimp and the spinach artichoke tarts. The beef sliders and the chicken kebabs were a close second. The churros had chocolate or strawberry filling and they were so delicious. I love the crispy texture combined with the warm filling. Overall, I loved eating Chef Gilly's Catering and I would love to attend another party / host one with them. read more

My wife hired Chef Gillys Catering for a family reunion at a local park for 40 people. The Taco menu included all the fixings, and 3 different types of protein. There was so much food, it covered the 6 family members who didn't rsvp (always one family) and there was still plenty of food that every one shared to take home. We highly recommend using Chef Gillys. No one thought to take pictures ofd the food, we were too busy eating! Well Done Chef Gilly! read more

Chef Gilly's is a fantastic caterer to use for your event. They catered our nonprofit's annual fundraiser by providing self-serve appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages (horchata, spring water, and lemonade). From start to finish, the staff was very professional, responsive to our questions and budget, and the prices were extremely competitive compared to other quotes I got. They arrived on time for both set-up and clean-up, and they displayed the food beautifully. The food was delicious and we even ran out of some items before the event ended, which just never happens! We will be happy to work with Chef Gilly's again for future events. read more

We hired Chef Gilly's for our big birthday bash recently and they were simply fantastic! We had a great experience from start to finish: from planning the food to the event itself and through the cleanup. I was blown away by their service, quality, taste, and professionalism!! I worked with Noe on the planning of the event and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. He was a pleasure to work with: highly organized, very detail oriented, and stuck with us over the months of planning and waiting for the event. The pricing was quite reasonable too - less expensive than other quotes we received. The food was fantastic!!! We had Chef Gilly's taco stand along with appetizers. In my experience, it's very hard to find a caterer that is both good at Mexican tacos and quesadillas, but also can make classy hors d'oeuvres. This is one caterer who can do it all and really well. They did a great grilled veggie option and accommodated many allergy needs of our guests. The sauces were yummy. Our guests kept remarking about how tasty the food was! The event went off perfectly. The Chef Gilly's staff was on time and took care of everything. Many guests remarked about how nice and professional the staff was. Before we knew it, everything was cleaned up and finished and we didn't have to do a thing. Plus... fun for us... we took home their yummy queso-tacos and tacos for leftovers! I highly recommend Chef Gilly's for your event. One of the Peninsula's best caterers in my humble opinion. Thank you, Noe and Chef Gilly!!! read more

I catered a cheese wheel with Chef Gilly for a wedding event. If you are looking for a classy high end with a "wow" from guests, don't hesitate. Very professional staff. Arrived on time, everything provided. Only drawback, there is a min charge for 100 guests. We had maybe 60-70, left overs went to our condo staff, they were very happy. It is pricey, but everyone was impressed with presentation and pasta with choice of beef, chicken, shrimp or tofu. Highly recommend. read more

Thank you Chef Gilly's for making my son's wedding party a hit! This is the second time we've used Chef Gilly's and it was superb both times. This time we had the food cooked on site. They were punctual, flexible right up to the day of the event, and provided a ton of food. The food was the big hit of the party! I strongly suggest having them cook on site as you get more personalized attention, but we also had them previously drop off the food and pick up later which was great for a smaller venue and still went perfectly. read more

Had this catering at a friend's birthday party. Over half the people there were Mexican/South/Central American and everyone (other cultures included!) thought it was amazing- went back for THIRDS! Barbacoa was the bomb as was the rice and beans and chicken and just everything was so good. The chips too!!! Easily amongst the best homemade tortilla chips and salsa verde. Nothing was too spicy - toddlers, older adults, and kids loved it. One particularly foodie child said the meat was like meat but not too meaty. And that the beans were not too beany ha! Wish they had a storefront bc I'm gonna need to get a corporate job so I can hire them for some epic catering so I can eat it again. read more
