Cheated on our go-to local Italian restaurant to give Cucina a try and we were amazed!! Everything…read morewas delicious, I even forgot to take photos of the appetizer and dessert they were that good, lol! I had the Rigatoni with goat cheese and it was warm, sausage was so yummy and even getting the small plate size I was left full. My husband had the pear pizza and when we couldn't finish, the staff even suggested to us his recommended way of how to eat it once we take it home. Really helpful and sweet. Crab cakes were so insanely good as well. They charred them a bit truthfully, but I honestly preferred them that way. We also had the pistachio tiramisu affogato and oh my gosh was it SO yummy. The espresso, the pistachio gelato (ice cream?) whatever it was, it was gone in seconds. I also really appreciated the size of the restaurant. The noise wasn't absurdly loud, the music was at the perfect level, and the lighting offered just enough at you needed. It left staff attentive without smothering. My only criticism was that the glass of wine we received had pieces of cork in it. They swapped out the main glass at our request but left carafe which also had it in there. Not the end of the world, we just didn't drink it. Also, the price was so reasonable! We had a glass of wine, mocktail, crab cakes, pasta, pizza, tiramisu and a cup of decaf for under $100. I was extremely impressed and already looking forward to our return!

We had a couple of the pastas between us, with the shells country style being the standout star. My son had the Hockeytown pizza and that was delish too. Our dinner took a little longer than usual, but we didn't complain at all and they still brought us complementary desert and another one on the house. Totally unexpected but that's how you bring people back. Superb customer service and great food. Well done!

Disappointing experience despite a fresh and new business relationship. We have used this catering…read morecompany for multiple corporate events and have spent considerable money with them. Historically, the food and service have been very good, which makes our experience with our most recent BBQ event particularly disappointing. The weather was questionable the morning of the event, so we understood the decision to precook the burgers and brats. However, the weather ultimately cooperated, and the event proceeded as planned. We specifically requested that we use at least one large gas grill we provided, even if only to keep the grill/char lines going, but that did not happen. The catering team arrived on time, but the setup was not completed as expected. Two chefs who had originally been scheduled to be onsite to cook the food ultimately spent much of the event standing around with very little involvement. More importantly, the food was served lukewarm to cold even though it arrived in hotboxes, and some food was undercooked/raw. The sternos were not lit until well after the food had been set up and less than 10 minutes before mealtime, which did little to address the temperature problem. For the price we paid, the quality of service and temperature of the food were simply not acceptable. I immediately raised my concerns with the event planner after the event. When I didn't receive a follow-up, I emailed to express our disappointment. To the event planner's credit, she responded and said the owner wanted to address the matter personally and would contact me after returning from out of town. That was over a month ago, and we have still received no communication. A coworker who also helps coordinate our company events separately contacted her point of contact at the company, but also received no response. What is most disappointing is not simply that one event did not meet expectations. We have been a significant repeat customer, and we expected our concerns to be acknowledged and addressed professionally. Instead, we received no follow-up at all. We have had good experiences with this caterer in the past, which is why this situation has been frustrating. Unfortunately, the combination of cold food, a lack of attention during the event, and zero follow-up afterward has made us decide to seek catering elsewhere for our corporate events.

She is thoughtful, communicative and just so charming! I am gluten free, but Alyson and the whole Hearty Boys crew made sure I had my own gluten free version of every Hors d'oeuvres. We had about 150 guests. Everyone loved the food and the service and they were so accommodating with guests who had restrictions. Wedding decision fatigue is real. Let this be your sign to make the easy decision to choose Hearty Boys! You'll be in wonderful hands!

When we did our tasting, we knew pretty quickly they were the top, both because the food was several levels above what we'd tasted with other caterers, and because Derek asked us great questions throughout the tasting to better understand what we needed for our event, and to make great recommendations & help us think through aspects that hadn't even occurred to us yet. We had quite a few people in the weeks after the wedding reach out to say that they've never had better food at a wedding, and that was our experience too! They also staff the event incredibly well, and each of the team members we interacted with was a pro. Definitely add them to your list, and expect them to beat everyone else!

VIBE: The two dining areas were casual and comfortable, woody -- sort of supper club-ish. Plenty of Frank Sinatra playing. There were hardly any other diners, so no crowd noise to speak of.lighting was good, SERVICE: The staff were kind of low-key -- polite but not overly cordial. Given that the place was not at all busy, we expected our server to be attentiveg2@ and our food and drinks to come out quickly. But no. FOOD: We started with rapini & beans; it was very good, with ample garlic, and rapini cut into manageable pieces and nicely cooked. As an entree, I had a massive plate of sausage, peppers and potatoes. I expected more flavor (especially from the sausage), but it was all pleasantly ho-hum (and the sausage would have been more manageable cut into coins rather than large hunks). My wife reported that her pasta with broccoli was bland to a fault, without even a hint of garlic. The food was not bad-tasting, just (with the exception of our starter) blah, and not worthy of the downtown prices. Given the disappointing food and seevuce, we're not likely to return. There are better choices, even here in the 'burbs.
