Highly recommend to anyone looking for private chef services.

Amy walked me through the whole process, came to my house to assess set-up & operations, was very transparent about costs and worked to stay within my budget. The catering was the talk of the party! The passed hors d'oeuvres were delicious and each platter was gorgeously decorated with flowers or intricate picks. The charcuterie table was bountiful and a work of art in itself. The servers were personable & fun. The bartender, Jordanne, was fun & a real pro. Amy herself was here the whole time overseeing everything. At the end, I was amazed at the clean-up they did. And all the leftovers were nicely packaged & labeled, including re-heating instructions where needed. I would give this caterer 10 stars if I could.

I was completely blown away by the entire experience working with Amy's Culinary Adventures. She made everything feel easy and seamless from start to finish, literally no stress, just reassurance and a complete love for what she does. She didn't just handle the food, she helped me think through the entire event, connecting me with other vendors I needed (liquor, furniture rentals, all of it), which was a total lifesaver. Amy met with me multiple times to walk through her incredibly unique menu options (the brisket sliders, pear & goat cheese delicious things (i can't remember exactly!) and chicken and waffles, omg). Her attention to detail is next level, from the menu selections, to the exact quantities needed, to how the food would be passed and presented. The presentation was beautiful. The taco stand and dessert table were an absolute class act. My friends could not stop talking about how delicious the food was, and equally about how amazing, friendly, professional, and warm her staff is. Amy herself was there the entire evening, running the show and making sure every detail was perfect. You could just feel how much she cares. I truly cannot recommend her highly enough. If you're hosting an event and want zero worries about catering, and want your guests to leave raving, happy, and full, hire Amy. Best decision I made to help make a very special event even more special.

The communication was great with the entire team: sales rep, the prep team, Chefl, and accounts. My needs were met mostly overall, even though we did over serve way to much food I tried to cut back on, and was told to keep it - it was a per person headcount that matters, I personally did not want to over serve and toss any food in the trash - but they did assure me they would donate it whatever was left and we did have some. They even took liberty to box it all up at the end of the night and pass out what they could. Our two servers during the event were SO nice and helpful. The company set up and tore down so all I had to do was enjoy the event and provide to my team. They served my drinks, kept the food full all for a 4 hour event. They work hand in hand with Santa Monica Picnic Co, which was the set up with chairs and tables to make this event totally amazing on SM beach. The event went so well, and everyone loved it.

Several coworkers said this was one of the best cakes they had ever tasted and I couldn't agree more. It was very moist (and stayed that way for a whole week while I ate on it after the party lol) and the frosting was super sweet and delish. I can't pinpoint what made this cake taste so delicious and different than most cakes. Someone at the office described it as "not tasting synthetic" as store bought cakes often do. For me, I think it was the level of sugar/sweetness that I tasted. I have a huge sweet tooth, so whatever ingredients made it taste incredibly sweet made this cake right up my alley. PS, this cake is supposed to feed 8-10. Idk what sort of slice sizes are considered normal (especially since I have a sweet tooth and always want huge slices of cake lol), but imagining this massive thing being split into only 8-10 slices is hard to picture! It can definitely feed more than 8-10 people and still make the slices generously sized.

I had 2 weeks to plan dinner, one guest has food allergies and a couple preferred to NOT dine in public. I rented a house with a nice kitchen (and made sure the owner knew it was for a dinner party), but now I needed a chef. I had many referrals from local friends, but everyone they recommended were either booked or not suited for a small dinner party. With 8 days left, I did what I should have done in the first place and checked Yelp. Mint was highly rated, had excellent reviews, and seemed to do smaller events. I sent an inquiry overnight, explained what I was trying to accomplish -- hire an in-home private chef, to cater dinner for 4, and included the list of food allergies. I woke up to an email from Angela -- it was very courteous, succinct, with an attached 1-pager of pricing AND a of list items to choose in each course (4 courses / 1 item each). Folks: this is how you do business, it make as easy as possible to say yes. Nobody else I communicated with was this responsive, and this easy to work with. The type of cuisine (to me: fresh / farm to table / New American) was what everyone would enjoy, with great options in each course, and their pricing was in-the-ballpark. I replied with my choices, they sent a link to contract and pay by credit card, and we were booked/confirmed in 3 emails spanning a couple hours. [[thank you!]] Menu: * English cucumber topped with blackened shrimp whipped avocado cream cheese & microgreens * Arugula salad with blueberries, avocado goat cheese, lemon honey vinaigrette * Seared Ribeye Strip with shallot peppercorn sauce Lemon roasted broccolini, sweet potato mash * Chocolate flourless cake with fresh whipped cream & berries AND the Salted Caramel banana bread pudding with vanilla ice cream [[life hack: you CAN order 2 deserts, and yes it cost more, and f-yes it was worth it]] Day-of was flawless: Chef Jacyln arrived with everything to prepare dinner, was flexible on timing and service. The guests were drinking and chatting with her while we snacked on the first course. We sat for the salad, which was tasty and a perfect pallet cleanser. I devoured the entree and dug-deep for the self-control to NOT lick the plate. Everyone loved desert, not everyone would have loved either of the deserts, so I was pleased I opted for both (not just because I ate both). Chef Jaclyn was fun to watch and talk to, and did a masterful job of fading when were talking about something else. She made-do with the cookware/plates/etc in the AirBnB, the only thing we lacked were containers to take leftovers home (our fault!). She served us, and cleaned up (spot-less), which I wasn't expecting. The whole experience was 10/10 - I cannot wait to book and host again. Thank you Mint and Chef Jaclyn!
