Really good fresh food at Philly Bros! First time visiting Philly Bros so took suggestion from…read moreserver Ava, and we split the Classic Philly and the Chopped Cheese sandwich. Side of fries too. The sandwiches were hot, fresh and delicious with just the right amount of cheese on warm bread. The Classic Philly was chopped steak with onions, peppers and cheese cooked perfectly and tender. Delicious! The Chopped Cheese was burger and cheese with onion. Both sandwiches came with lettuce and fresh tomato on top and a side of mayo. We shared the generous portion of fries. Not just any fries, either. They were thick like steak fries but cut in small wedges and thick spirals. Hot and delicious and really good with a little ketchup. Hot day so we dined inside. Nice atmosphere. Bright and cheery. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend Philly Bros for dine in or carry out! Terrific. Kate the Artist

Highly recommend if you're craving a great Philly!

Young girl at the register was nice, tall cook with gotee and baseball cap, NOT so friendly. He didn't say my name correctly which is ok. However, when I went to retrieve my food, eyes locked in, big smile on my face (I was hungry, lol) , and said thank you - death look. No expression, no - your welcome, enjoy, etc. I was hesitant to even say this but this is what this platform is for.. borderline racist as he was nice to other people of lighter skin ); . Just made me feel not welcomed at all. I even said thank you twice. Sometimes kitchens can be a little loud and I can understand if he didn't hear me the first time,, but I know he saw my lips move as we were looking right at each other... Anyway. Overall food was good, a little pricey for a sandwich, fries and a can soda though. For nearly $22 you can eat at sit down restaurant, have quality food and be served with sit down experience. Overall I'd come back as I know what to expect from this location. I've visited another location on LEE RD for to-go but I was in and out... I had the Daily Cheesesteak special. $16.95. I added a cheese sauce $1.30. All together 21.36 total.

Is the quality of the meat product of totally sub-par?? Again.... Absolutely Yes!! So much meat that it's falling out of the bun, yet it tastes like that low budget freezer burnt steakumms product that they sell at Walmart and Winn Dixie. Definitely not fit to eat and when I offered it to my dog, I couldn't even get him to taste it. He sniffed it and just turned his head away. Absolutely wouldn't touch it! This is, by far, the worst Cheesesteak that I've ever experienced. The flavor closely resembles the taste and texture of the tires that they sell next door at the Tuffy's Tire & Lube Center. They even overcooked the fries, I couldn't throw it away fast enough. Save your money and your digestive system... Eat Elsewhere

I decided to place an order for pickup honestly I wasn't aware that they even had a dining area inside which they do although it's rather small. I called in a "Hot Italian Combo Sub" and added jalapeños and without giving my name the young lady fielding my call told me she'd have it ready in ten minutes and hung up. As promised my sandwich was in the final assembly stage when I arrived - so after the cash transaction and the gratuity hitting the bottom of the tip jar I had my sandwich in hand - the staff was very friendly and definitely grateful for the business and as for me I was holding a foil wrapped sub in a white paper bag that I wouldn't unveil until returning to my office. The moment of truth - Wow!!! This was like no Hot Italian Sub I ever witnessed much less ever bitten in to and I admit after unwrapping it there was a little bit of shock and awe. I guess I was expecting sliced Italian meats dressed with everything every Italian Sub I've ever eaten has been. This mammoth sub was definitely hot and definitely spicy and was served up like a cheese steak but only it was actually Italian but not like "Italian Beef". After grabbing a few extra napkins and after posturing myself in the infamous "lean-in" position I went for it. This was such a complex combination of flavors and textures that I couldn't quite decide whether it was a simple hot mess or a genius creation, but it definitely lurked me in for a second bite while my taste buds went completely crazy. Based strictly on curiosity I'll have to return, although this place is aged and worn and should be cleaner and less cluttered I admit it's definitely a Deland institution of sorts and somehow has survived for years. As for the sandwich I'm still deciding if it was a masterpiece or if I was extremely hungry...

I work in Lake Mary and was craving a cheesesteak for lunch today. LaSpadas or Slam would be my…read morego-to, but a tad far just for a lunch break with my company's given location. So I googled "Cheesesteak near me". A place by the name of "Pardon My Cheesesteak" amerged. I recall seeing the name on Uber Eats before. Surprisingly, their location was over this way in a plaza about 1 minute from my job. On maps it showed it was in between 2 restaurants I frequent for lunch. How have I not seen this before??! .. the plot thickens .. Their listing online said that they are delivery/pick up only spot. I decided to try them out, why not? So their menu said that their sandwiches come with melted cheese wiz type sauce AND provolone. I'm not a fan of cheese wiz on cheesesteaks, so I wanted to exclude it. Their online ordering portal would not allow me to make this alertation. I decided to try calling them. Their phone number started with (844) which I thought was weird? Call center maybe? The rep on the phone stated that the location is actually inside of Toojays restaurant, and he would connect me. I spoke with a woman (from Toojays) that stated when my order came through, she would tell them no cheese sauce. Easy enough right? I delve deeper into this, and saw on Pardon My Cheesesteak's website that they are a "Virtual" restuarant. They have multiple locations that are set up in various restaurants around town. This definitely peaked my interest. Do they just ship out their ingredients? Is there a Pardon My Cheesesteak worker actually in the kitchen at Toojays? A bit perplexing.. I never got the answers to my questions, because I stopped my quander abruptly after tasting my sandwich. In my opinion, it SUCKED. I consider myself a bit of a cheesesteak aficionado, and this by far was one of the worst I have ever had. It had absolutely NO seasoning. It was bland as could be. They didn't even bother to chop the steak inside, it was all folded up to one side. I tried adding some salt & pepper and a little bit of mayo. This made it edible for a little bit to help my hunger factor, but in the end, I didn't even finish it. It was horrible, so I threw it away - along with my $11.45 I paid for a SIX INCH catastrophe. I know my review might come off as a little harsh, but I call it like I see it .. or taste it. Being such a cheesesteak lover myself, I would definitely feel more passionate - hence my critical yet honest review. I also feel its my duty to advise fellow foodies of my experience and what could possibly be theirs. Consider yourself warned!
