Check your price and receipts!! This is my go to every time…read moreI'm @ BJ's. But this last time really got me. Your prices are written on the menu if they are not right, wipe the marker off and fix it! I ordered a small mushroom cheesesteak 8in.$12.50. I added a $1 tip which I hate doing because you're not serving me anything but it didn't give you the option not to. Do you want a receipt? No, I'm OK because you know I'm here all the time so I trust--- then she took the guy behind me. He said no no no I ordered a small you're charging me for a large, then I remember I paid $22. I immediately went back and said I also ordered the small. It's $12.50. Why was I charged $22? She said because I added mushrooms I chose the "mushroom cheesesteak"It literally says $12.50 for the 8 inch on the menu! Would you like your receipt? Absolutely! And the proof is in the pudding. The receipt says large cheesesteak $17.95 that isn't even the price on the menu it's $16.50. My problem with the actual place is if you're trusting it and you're not asking for your receipt, which is my fault. And they do this to 50% of the people a day that may not notice.... the building and employees could not be more suspect. Shame on you! Disputed and will not be returning! No, it wasn't rectified. Because the tall mean guy came over and said yeah that's how it is. Not my money!

Aw man, we really wanted to like this place. The establishment is very energetic and the employees…read moreare so friendly - but unfortunately, they got our whole order wrong. We shared the Philly cheesesteak with no mushrooms, mango habanero chicken bites (8 ct) with sauce on the side, and garlic knots. He asked if we wanted the knots to come out first - and we said yes, that's a great idea! The cheesesteak came out first - with mushrooms. We had to send it back. Then the chicken bites came out second - with the sauce tossed in. We were shy to send it back because we are still waiting for the cheesesteak to be remade. Lastly, the garlic knots came last (when we were offered for it to come first). Maybe we'll come back on another day when it's not so busy. Their cheesesteak was good in portion! Mango habanero was spicier than what I'm used to. Garlic knots were a win.

I ordered a large Pepperoni, I went to the restaurant to order and it only took about 12-15mins to receive my order. It was fresh and hotttt! Great thin crust, right amount of sauce and lots of pepperoni. I'd like to try some of their other items but the pizza was great! Service was fast and friendly and though it's a bit small they do have limited seating for dining in.

I decided to place an order for pickup honestly I wasn't aware that they even had a dining area inside which they do although it's rather small. I called in a "Hot Italian Combo Sub" and added jalapeños and without giving my name the young lady fielding my call told me she'd have it ready in ten minutes and hung up. As promised my sandwich was in the final assembly stage when I arrived - so after the cash transaction and the gratuity hitting the bottom of the tip jar I had my sandwich in hand - the staff was very friendly and definitely grateful for the business and as for me I was holding a foil wrapped sub in a white paper bag that I wouldn't unveil until returning to my office. The moment of truth - Wow!!! This was like no Hot Italian Sub I ever witnessed much less ever bitten in to and I admit after unwrapping it there was a little bit of shock and awe. I guess I was expecting sliced Italian meats dressed with everything every Italian Sub I've ever eaten has been. This mammoth sub was definitely hot and definitely spicy and was served up like a cheese steak but only it was actually Italian but not like "Italian Beef". After grabbing a few extra napkins and after posturing myself in the infamous "lean-in" position I went for it. This was such a complex combination of flavors and textures that I couldn't quite decide whether it was a simple hot mess or a genius creation, but it definitely lurked me in for a second bite while my taste buds went completely crazy. Based strictly on curiosity I'll have to return, although this place is aged and worn and should be cleaner and less cluttered I admit it's definitely a Deland institution of sorts and somehow has survived for years. As for the sandwich I'm still deciding if it was a masterpiece or if I was extremely hungry...

So I googled "Cheesesteak near me". A place by the name of "Pardon My Cheesesteak" amerged. I recall seeing the name on Uber Eats before. Surprisingly, their location was over this way in a plaza about 1 minute from my job. On maps it showed it was in between 2 restaurants I frequent for lunch. How have I not seen this before??! .. the plot thickens .. Their listing online said that they are delivery/pick up only spot. I decided to try them out, why not? So their menu said that their sandwiches come with melted cheese wiz type sauce AND provolone. I'm not a fan of cheese wiz on cheesesteaks, so I wanted to exclude it. Their online ordering portal would not allow me to make this alertation. I decided to try calling them. Their phone number started with (844) which I thought was weird? Call center maybe? The rep on the phone stated that the location is actually inside of Toojays restaurant, and he would connect me. I spoke with a woman (from Toojays) that stated when my order came through, she would tell them no cheese sauce. Easy enough right? I delve deeper into this, and saw on Pardon My Cheesesteak's website that they are a "Virtual" restuarant. They have multiple locations that are set up in various restaurants around town. This definitely peaked my interest. Do they just ship out their ingredients? Is there a Pardon My Cheesesteak worker actually in the kitchen at Toojays? A bit perplexing.. I never got the answers to my questions, because I stopped my quander abruptly after tasting my sandwich. In my opinion, it SUCKED. I consider myself a bit of a cheesesteak aficionado, and this by far was one of the worst I have ever had. It had absolutely NO seasoning. It was bland as could be. They didn't even bother to chop the steak inside, it was all folded up to one side. I tried adding some salt & pepper and a little bit of mayo. This made it edible for a little bit to help my hunger factor, but in the end, I didn't even finish it. It was horrible, so I threw it away - along with my $11.45 I paid for a SIX INCH catastrophe. I know my review might come off as a little harsh, but I call it like I see it .. or taste it. Being such a cheesesteak lover myself, I would definitely feel more passionate - hence my critical yet honest review. I also feel its my duty to advise fellow foodies of my experience and what could possibly be theirs. Consider yourself warned!
