Yes, yes, yes!!! I am so happy that I discovered this wine & cheese delight! I loved everything about this place. It was a bit small in side- so if you have a large group, you might need to sit at a few different tables. I loved the wine flights that they offered. What I really loved was their create your own charcuterie board option. There were 4 of us, so we decided to each pick 1 cheese/meat. There were so many choices!! I loved that it came with a pairing as well (like jam or apples). We came here before dinner, so we only kept to the cheese. However, the next time I return, I will be getting on of their grilled cheeses! They look & sound delicious! Highly recommend for a date night, girls night out, or just because! If you haven't been here yet, what are you waiting for??
11/10 RECOMMEND! My GF and I visited Cheese Please for our first time last night, and for their very first night at their new location (i.e. Bar Ten). I cannot say enough good things about this place! The food/drinks, immaculate. The service, immaculate. The overall atmosphere in general, immaculate. We were lucky enough to meet the Owner, Sam, along with Vern (our bartender) last night. Sam even went above and beyond and not only built own charcuterie from scratch (we trusted all his choices), but also had a few drinks with us. We plan on being regulars and will most definitely be back! Thank you all for the amazing food/service and hospitality in general.
Our hidden little gem. Stooped by mid week and guess what? $2 off a glass a wine special only on Wed. Things were a little slower and less of the usual weekend crowd. But the place had a nice vibe, great wine down music and the staff were Attentive. I'm allergic to vow based cheeses and love that this place has sheep and goat cheese options. They also modified one of their grilled cheese sandwiches to all goat/sheep non cow based cheese for my intolerance. I did add a meat option to the grilled cheese. OmG! A must try. Wine selection is vast and the staff offer great pairing options. The jellies that accompany the cheese choices are different and tasty. My fav is the Meyers lemon jelly with the truffle goat cheese. Yum! If you're not in the mood for wine they also order cocktails in the next section of the bar. Don't forget to check out the fridg3 section up front to take home your fav cheese. I love the Cana de Cabra!
Sooo Cheese Please is a cute hidden gem wine bar. Our waiter helped us pick our cheese and meats which were so good. I bought two bottles of wine and will be back for more! This is a cute spot for a date night or wine tasting with friends.
Cheese, meats and wine! What more could you ask for? We ponied up to the bar at Cheese Please on a rainy Friday night. This place is so cute!! You can pick a choose from flights or create your own. We ordered a lovely bottle of Pinot Noir and ordered all the meats and cheeses. My favorite cheese was the one with the potatoes chips infused. The honey that was paired with our selections were also delicious. They have a great selection of wines, meats and cheeses for purchase to take home too. I'll be back for one of the tastings they put on every week soon.
Why 4 stars? Because it's a lovely place for wine and cheese. --- --- --- Cheese Please is one of those places that was on my to-do list for years, but I'd never actually gotten around to stopping in, until recently. I've been told for quite some time that it's a really unique experience, and judging by the reviews, a very popular one, as well. We ended up just coming in to enjoy some bites and sips, rather than booking the full tasting experience. My wife and I, along with our friend, sat in the corner and poured over the menu to decide which goodies to order. We had a couple things marked as musts, but really went off of the server's recommendations for which cheeses to order. But as for the things I knew were a must - grilled cheese sandwiches. Particularly, the Ocean's Twelve and Batman & Robin. They were both solid sammies, but I ended up liking the Ocean's Twelve a bit better. As for the other stuff, I let my wife chow down on that, since I ate the majority of the two sandwiches, but I did try a few bites of things - prosciutto, horse radish cheddar and the honey. All of those were really everything I could have hoped for. Throw in a few glasses of the wine for the group and our bill ended up over $100. While I enjoyed my experience, it didn't *quite* seem worth that price tag, but I'd definitely come back again - especially if I'm with a huge wine and cheese fan.
Such a fun place to get wine and delicious meats and cheeses! Had an excellent glass of wine and delicious meat, cheese, and jam parings. It was such a fun place to get lunch/a snack. Highly recommend this cute and yummy place!
Cheese Please is a bit like the wardrobe from the Chronicles of Narnia. Upon entering, this appears to only be a small cheese shop, but as you make your way through the store you will discover a hidden bar, Clooney's, in the back. Wine and cheese are my spirit animals so it is no shocker that I love Cheese Please! This cheese shop/wine bar offers an impressive selection of fine cheeses and charcuterie, gourmet cheese sandwiches, and lots of wines to choose from. My husband and I will usually stop in and have a glass or two of wine and split a cheese and charcuterie board. This dark and intimate bar has a very fun and quirky atmosphere. You may have guessed from the bar's name that the owner is a fan of George Clooney. You will find pictures of George Clooney all over the bar, including a life sized cardboard cutout of George! You will also find lots of signs with sassy quotes scattered throughout the bar. The cheese selection never fails to impress! Some of my favorites are the St. Angel triple cream brie, goat cheese with figs, and the sticky toffee cheddar. The cheeses are all perfectly paired with crackers, dried fruits and nuts, and jelly and chutney. They have this bacon chutney that is so good that I could eat it by the jar! Besides the amazing wine and cheese selection we keep returning because of the amazing owner, Michael. Michael is so friendly and welcoming and never makes us feel bad for bringing a stroller into his bar. He knows his wines and cheese so it is always a pleasure to discuss different wines with him.
It had been a while since my friends and I went here, so we decided to stop in for happy hour/dinner in the bar (Clooney's.) Cheese Please also has fun tastings on Friday and Saturday nights but you have to sign up in advance. In the bar they have a nice selection of wines by the glass as well as sparklings like prosecco, which is what I started with. In addition to getting cheese and meat platters, you can also order one of their four specialty grilled cheese sandwiches, which are all named after George Clooney movies/shows. The Ocean's 12 is their most popular, and that is what my friend got. I like it hot (and spicy), so I got the Three Kings and it is absolutely delicious! I Think it is better than the Ocean's 12 but that is good too. I switched to red wine when I ordered the sandwich, and it paired perfectly. Our bartender/sever was great as well. If you like wine and cheese, and laughing, this is the place to go for tastings, hanging out at the bar or for just picking up some cool cheeses you can't find anywhere else (I am talking about you, potato chip gouda!)
My husband and I decided to stopped by at Cheese Please and give it a try, I'm glad we did. It's a small, cozy and cute place. Server was very kind and attentive, cheeses were delicious and well paired with meats and jams, I highly recommend to try their grilled cheese sandwich. We are definitely coming back
Great little place in South Tampa. It's located in a large strip mall with plenty of parking. From the outside it looks like a very small place but as you enter there's the cheese shop in the front, then you make your way to the bar with several tables and seating areas and in the back there's a private room for events and the wine and cheese pairings that they have on Friday and Saturday nights if you reserve in advance. We found our way to the bar. They have a great wine list and an even better choice of cheeses and some meats for a charcuterie board that you choose. There are also several artisan grilled cheese sandwiches available. The bartender was great, full of wonderful recommendations for the wine and the cheese. We had three cheeses ($15 total), potato chip gouda, whiskey Cheddar and grand noir blue cheese. All the cheese were great, but the grand noir blue cheese was my favorite. Paired very nicely with my Federalist cabernet. Also had the "Facts of life" grilled cheese: French Triple Crème Brie, Raspberry Jalapeno Compote, Crispy Apples. It was delicious and nice and sweet. The owner, Michael, has an admiration for George Clooney, hence the name above the bar, Clooney's. Great place for a girls night out, a date or just a get together. You can reserve the back room for private tastings as well and purchase cheese to go at the shop. Great concept, will definitely return!
I was genuinely impressed with this little cheese/wine shop/bar. The service was excellent and very informative. The employee helped my friends and I decide on which meats and cheese would best fit our pallets. I don't eat pork or mushrooms, and my friends don't care for goat cheese. The meats we went with were for my friends; and the cheese and Jams were for all of us! It was delicious!! I was very thirsty that day and I never once had to ask the employee to top off my water glass. She was on it and very attentive to any needs we had. This place would be perfect for a little intimate date. It's a small shop, but has a bar and few tables in the back to enjoy the rich cheeses, wines, and meats. Their wine selection was great as well! I definitely will be going back.
This is an awesome little hidden gem in the Palma Ceia neighborhood on S. MacDill Ave. It's in the same shopping plaza as The Brunchery and Pane Rustica restaurant. Parking gets pretty packed during peak weekend ours. It shares the same a lot within the shopping plaza. The tenant space it's located in remind me of a New York retail tenant space. For example, it's narrow and unexpectedly long as you head towards the back (where there is more seating). They have wine themed decour all over the walls, etc. The staff did a good job helping us understand what's going on with the menu. They have a pretty decent assortment of gourmet style grilled cheese sandwiches and charcuterie combinations. As for the wine, the price per glass was a little bit higher than I'm used to, but they were decent. It's a fun little stop if you're a fan of good company/conversation, wine, grilled cheese sandwiches, meat and cheese, or all of the above.

Cheese Please is just the latest addition to an already palate-pleasing array of wining and dining destinations located in a South Tampa retail center that includes Pane Rustica, Redneck Wine Company, The Brunchery and the Village Health Market. Relocated from its former West Shore area location, what started out as a small specialty cheese shop quickly became widely known for its festive cheese and wine events that include a theme, featured cheeses from around the world paired with delicious select wines, lively crowds, music, props and costumes and the always charming and tireless proprietors/hosts, Michael and Carlos. I did not think Cheese Please could in any way be improved but the move into its new South MacDill Avenue digs gives it more room than before to host even bigger bashes and continue to create a cult around the owners' divine selection of cheeses, condiments, wines and craft beers. From the retail space in the front, you enter a tasting room with a Wine and Cheese bar and continue on into anther room with table-side seating. Enjoy a glass or wine or a local beer while sampling a flight of cheeses or make a reservation for the next weekly wine tasting. You may learn a bit about cheeses but you most certainly will be laughing - a lot! Cheese Please is a real crowd-pleaser. read more
We bought 2 bottles of red wine and 2 different types of cheese they recommended and it was delicious! They definitely know their stuff and if you love wine and cheese this is the spot to help you get the best stuff! I liked how they let us try a few things before we decided on what we were getting. It helped us feel We were making the right decisions. The prices are mid range but I always say you get what you pay for and if you really like wine and cheese this place is awesome, Parking is easy and convenient great location Just bought a bottle of this amazing Pinot noir and amazing cheddar cheese that's spicy and the service was awesome they let me try a few wines before committing. They told me they do wine and cheese tasting events on the weekend which we will surely be attending!!!! read more
Cheese, wine and very entertaining hosts made for a 5 star evening. Michael and Carlos were truly the stars of the show with their vast knowledge and stories about each taste. They offer these tastings on Thursday-sat and also have private tastings by reservation where you can customize your own flights. Our tasting was domestic cheeses paired with 3 different wines. Then each cheese was paired with condiments of jam, garlic or fig which really complimented the taste of the cheese. Fun way to spend a few hours with friends! Highly recommend you give it a go! read more

Tiniest little cheese shop and I am not even mad about it!! The owners and the hostess were extremely friendly and helpful in allowing us to choose from our favorite types of cheeses available not only on the menu but in the shop as well. The grilled cheeses were perfect combination of crispy buttery bread and melty salty cheeses perfectly balanced. A good selection of wines and what I really liked is their selection for house wines. Many restaurants don't actually realize having a good tasting house wine is just as important as having some great selections in the cellar. If you have not yet tried their "blueberry cheesecake" you are missing out and need to order it ASAP. Can't wait to go back and back again. Thank you Cheese Please for bringing such a fun concept and wonderful experience to us. I especially enjoy your smiley faces every time I step into the store. read more

Michael is the owner of this fine establishment and does a great job of making you feel welcome. You can participate in a cheese tasting on a Friday or Saturday night with a reservation for about $35. There are a lot of fun and the cheese choices are paired with wines. You can purchase anything you like afterwards and they give you a discount for purchasing that night. You can also just sit at the bar or bistro tables and enjoy some wine and grilled cheese. Last time I went I had one of the sandwiches and I was in heaven! I love this little shop so much! They also make baskets for the holidays. read more

I was looking for a classy intimate hangout spot - good for potential dates, or girls' night out and this place is PERFECT. I love love love Cheese Please! The staff we met was so friendly and it feels like a friend invited you over to try a new cheese they found, like a small social gathering with an excellent knowledgeable host. There was a very short menu, but my friend and I didn't even order off of it. We simply talked to the people there and told them what we liked and what we wanted to try and they whipped up a customized cheese platter. The merlot jam was beautiful, the truffle pecorino was reminiscent of my favorite Mac and cheese, but it was an experimental concoction that took my breath away. One of the staff members made a bleu/Brie stuffing with added banana chips, and figs and put it into these little red peppers and it was basically a giant explosion of flavor! They were trying out different menu items and we got lucky with this experiment and when we left, we were begging them to put it on the menu for our future visits, which will happen quite often. There are too many good things to say about Cheese Please. It was pretty empty when we went, but I believe it's because they have only moved to this new location for a month. I definitely want to go back soon before other people discover this gem and access to this wonderful experience becomes much harder. read more

I have been to Cheese Please several times. The group tastings are very entertaining and delicious. You typically receive bottomless 3 types of wine. Also about 7 types of cheese. Each by themselves with a cracker and then with a condiment like jelly to enhance the flavor. You may leave hungry but never thirsty. No one ever leaves disappointing from the jokes and entertainment which I won't mention too much as to not spoil the part. It is well worth the price. I also enjoy just spending some time at the bar and having my own private cheese tray when I am not attending a private party. The owners and bartenders are always a pleasure and have great recommendations. You can also just stop in to pick up cheeses jellies from the large store front selection! read more

Super cute wine and cheese tasting place! My boyfriend and I had the flight of assorted cheese and meats. Michael was extremely hospitable and friendly, he made the experience for us. And he was very good at helping us pick the right cheeses for our liking. The cheeses and jams complimented each other so well, everything was scrumptious. Would highly recommend if you're in the area!! read more

Perfect Pandemic Picnic! Wanted to enjoy the social distancing company of a couple of friends here at home on Sunday without a lot of effort. Ordered a platter from Cheese Please. Absolutely perfect. Outstanding, caring service. Fantastic, abundant platter. Couldn't have been more pleased. Highly recommended! And if you are lucky enough to live in South Tampa, you'll be lucky enough to have it delivered. Special thanks to Mia and Abby! read more

This was my first time ever hearing of this establishment, and it did not disappoint! The wine selection is abundant, and my favorite part is creating your own customized cheese tray that paired perfectly with our wine. My friend and I selected a bottle of the Gerard Bertrand Pinot Noir, with the option to choose your own Cheese and Charcuterie Flight. There are several varieties to mix and match, which is brilliant in experiencing new options outside of your comfort zone. For our Charcuterie selections, we tried the Potato Chip Gouda, a salted white cheese, & the salami with herbs. Each selection is accompanied with different condiments (jams, mustard etc...) as well as thin wafer crackers. The experience was one of a kind, with the bartender, servers and the owner engaged and attentive to ensure our enjoyment. The bar and lounge area is fairly small, however cozy and an inviting atmosphere. There is a room towards the back to host tasting events and private gatherings. I am looking forward to returning and attending a tasting event in the near future. Our visit was nothing short of relaxing and enjoyable for the start to a nice Friday evening out. Do yourself a favor, and give this spot a try. Wine enthusiasts... you won't want to pass this up! read more

I am thoroughly embarrassed to give a Wine & Cheese gift basket that had nothing in it! A cheap bottle of Wine, 1 Cheese, Jelly and crackers. What you used to get for a $40 gift basket now (under new ownership) looks like a $20 gift basket! Never again will I spend this kind of money for nothing. read more

I went with a group of 6 girls for my bachelorette weekend, everything was amazing, the wines were perfect, I did the flight of whites and rosé, we all shared a 7 option cheese flight and it was absolutely delicious, the best part was Michael behind the bar recommending different cheeses based on what we usually like.
