I have played soccer in this league lately and the experience was not pleasant, I signed up for…read more7vs7 indoor and the price is not cheap. First of all, although they advertise 7v7 and make you pay for this, they pack 14 players on very small fields (most likely 5v5), which drastically change the experience, the game is less enjoyable, people keep bumping into each other, there is no room for developing the game...etc. Their argument for this is the venue is very expensive and they have to divide the field in two to keep the prices reasonnable. I can understand the point, but in that case it should be explicitly mentioned during the sign up process, otherwise it is quite dishonest, most people would just pass if they knew this fact. Second of all, there is no will to make people respect the rules and keep the games friendly. They let people come with high cleats (which is very dangerous on tiny turf fields) and referees don't care, some time they don't even know the rules. We had very bad referees who let the situation aggravate a couple of times, we even ended up in a fight in one game (and we were not the only ones). I had asked the referee several times during the game to keep control and blow the whistle when someone hits someone else or does something against the rules, they just did not care, they laughed at me. I brought this up to the organizer who responded literally "I know we already have 3 different teams who complained about the other team for aggressivety" - which by the way is against the rules of the league - but for some reason this particular team never was in trouble and kept playing the 2 seasons in a row with no problem. Which is clear lack of management and rules enforcement. So all in all the experience was not nice

A league that's very poorly managed. First of all, the website is confusing to navigate especially for people who are new to these kind of rec leagues (the newer website is slightly better but still lacks clarifications on basic terms, e.g. team player vs free agent). Secondly, the organizer likes to communicate via email. It's okay for announcements and other updates. But when you have a lot of questions to clarify when you sign up for leagues and they don't have enough spots, it's more efficient to just talk on the phone and resolve it instead of emailing back and forth. Last but definitely not least, the management person, Deb, is rude and unprofessional. Once I sprained my wrist before the season started but thought I would still show up for the game and give my teammates some support, she came up to me and asked why I wasn't playing and made it sound like the other team had a problem with it. I'm sorry but I can't watch the game?? I wouldn't recommend this league to anyone. If you absolutely have to join, don't let your hopes up.
