I was kind of creeped out by this as it was as if they were expecting violence. All the usual high end brands are here: Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dolce & Gabana, Prada, Tiffany, Cartier, Rolex. It was not busy when I visited & I wonder if this part of La Isla is ever busy. I just don't imagine most visitors to Cancun shopping for high end merchandise. It is the same price as in the US. The only difference was that if you made a purchase, you could possibly get the 9% tax refunded on leaving Mexico. You just need your credit card, store receipt, passport, immigration form & flight ticket. That said, Golden Goose had me complete the form online and I never received the refund :'-(

This place feels super safe- when I went, I was pretty much shadowed by security forces wearing armored vests with walkie-talkies. This is actually kinda the entrance to even fancier places, a ferris wheel, and high-end residences. The mall doesn't seem to have any public restrooms. There is no food court, just a smattering of high end places that are kinda tucked here and there throughout the mall. Parking looks challenging. I'd rather take the bus here. When I went, it appeared that they were expanding the footprint of this shopping mall.

Cancun did not disappoint! On the first day that I went to La Isla, I picked out a pair of white all cotton jeans and a pair of denim all cotton shorts. With the sale discounts, the total came to just $30US!!! I wore those shorts at my hotel and they were super stylish (high waisted) and extremely soft and comfy. I decided I wanted another pair, and I decided I wanted a second pair of white jeans that I had tried and put back. So once again, I got a taxi to La Isla. I quickly found the pair of white jeans, but, the shorts were no where to be found. There was a gentleman working, so I asked. Luckily I was wearing the pair I'd purchased 2 days earlier, so we were able to get the item info from the tags. He could see they had a single pair remaining. He looked. I looked, but we were unable to find them. Bummer. So, I went to the check out line and while waiting, he came rushing up with the shorts in hand! He had found them! Could not have asked for better service! And the selections were still good with more items being marked down daily. Great shopping experience!

Nothing I could afford, but I can afford F21! Selection was good, pretty similar to the states. Store was well lit, clean, and displays were eye catching. I only wanted a t shirt , and some tanks which I found, along with some headbands. As I am obviously not in my 20s I always try on clothes before buying at juniors type stores. Male dressing room attendant was friendly enough and was bilingual. If I was alone I would have browsed more, but I had 3 others in my party that were waiting on me. We wanted to return a Christmas present that would not work and we're accused of using said item (even though it had only been taken out of the bag at Christmas time and never again). Then when they finally said it was ok to be returned they would not give us any money back for two weeks "because they had to process" and we had to come back and claim it in person. This was not a cheap gift and so we wanted the money back. Overall a terrible experience took over an hour to return one item and we still walked away with no money.

This shopping mall seems to have had better days. There's a bit of an occupancy problem. It's quiet. However, it feels safe. I saw security wandering around, and there aren't any locals hassling the tourists for change. In the near future, the causeway across the lagoon is going to be completed, and the causeway is going to drop off vehicles right in front of this shopping center. It'll be the first thing you see when you drive to Cancun. The future is bright for this shopping mall. The place has a bunch of different vendors and retailers here. You can get out of the sun, enjoy a cup of coffee, dinner at a fancy-ish restaurant (Ruth Chris!) I don't know where you can park, but this mall is easily accessible from the bus.
