Had a nice dining experience with cheddars. Had the chicken pot pie. good service and beverages were awesome! Next few visits were bad. Sat there a long time no offer of service. Deleted 2 stars. read more

Our third visit here solidified our intent to return. Our server was Precious, she was friendly, efficient and EXCELLENT at anticipating our needs. We sat down and were starving, so we ordered their appetizer sampler (triple threat?) which consists of chicken tenders, potato skins and cheese curds! I got the painkiller (coconut rum STRoNG cocktail) and my boyfriend got the Texas Tea. As soon as our drinks were delivered Precious took our order, then about 2 minutes later our app arrived. Everything was great. A good runner delivered our meals by seat number, and precious pre bussed our table. My 6oz sirloin had so much flavor. And the broccoli and sweet potato were amazing. My boyfriend got the country fried chicken (the same thing he gets every time we eat at a Cheddar's) the beans are great, the mashed and gravy are delicious. And the chicken (when cooked properly) is juicy and has a great crust. Unfortunately one of the gigantic breasts wasn't cooked all the way through. Here is where the dining experience got us hooked forever. We asked to speak to a manager, and when Dylan came over REMEMBERED us from probably 4 months ago! We had a similar experience with the chicken being under done. He gave us an unnecessary (but sure to be used) chips and queso card before welcoming us back and explaining the situation to the kitchen. He had been our server on the previous trip, so we were impressed he got into management so quickly. Ask if Dylan and Precious are working, you're sure to have an excellent time. Pro-tip: we went in at 6:00 on a Friday, and were in and out in under 45 minutes and with appetizers, drinks and entrees spent $45!!! A quick, inexpensive delicious way to spend a Friday. read more

2nd visit for lunch. Food was plentiful and costs were very respectable. This restaurant is comfortable, but the food is average if that. While the service was decent I probably will not return. read more

Great food! Great service! And a very clean place. Our waiter had a very pleasant attitude and very accommodating! I am a fan of food from scratch! Would definitely eat there again! read more

The food was okay. My review is more about the service. I don't like feeling awkward and like a bother when I'm going into a place of business to give them my money. It seems like most of the staff was made of college students who don't know how to graciously welcome people into a restaurant. I don't expect to get treated like a queen, but at least like someone in a queen's court when dropping guap to help them pay their student loans. ‍ read more

Good tasting food at an inexpensive price.. Wether is lunch or dinner you will not be disappointed. The buttery croissants are a must try, warm with a delicious sauce over it! Very popular place so nights and weekends tend to be a long wait but so worth it. I recommend it to everyone, even the guest at the hotel that I work at and they come back happy. read more

I am a fan of cheddars. I am not typically into chains but from the lunch I had, I am glad I gave them a shot. I had the Tuscan Chicken sandwich. Marinated chicken, topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato and a basil pesto mayo! All on foccacia bread. Yum! I got slaw for a side, which when I asked "how was the slaw?", the server said "its like KFC's". Which she was 100% accurate on that, it tastes just like KFC's slaw. So, I don't think its made in house, and you either love it or you don't. Service was good. She was helpful, friendly and made sure I had enough to drink. No complaints. The sandwich was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly and ingredients went very well together. My only gripe is that the bread was soggy on the bottom from the juices. I can accept a certain level of sogginess but this was excessive. Other than that, I loved it and look forward to another visit to try something else. read more

My family is in town for the holidays and we decided to bring them here since they don't have a Cheddar's where they live. I got the Country Chicken Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes, green beans and Texas toast and it was amazing! If you get stuck on the rather large menu, give this dish a whirl. You won't be disappointed. Well done. Too good and I was too excited to take a picture. Sorry. read more

I do not like to complain, but this Cheddar's needs to hear this! I have gone to this Cheddar's since the first week it opened. My wife and I go 1-2 times a week. I have noticed that the food and service has gotten worse. The last 4 times I ate there, I ordered the Lemon Pepper chicken, mashed potatoes, carrots and rice. The last four times, the chicken was hard( like it had freezer burn) and barely warm. So, this last time, I ordered a 6 oz. steak( cooked medium) with carrots and corn. It took an hour to get it. My wife had the salad and salmon with broccoli. It was cold, too. It took an hour to get it. We couldn't find the server, so I got up and looked for him. He finally showed up and I told him our problems. I asked for the food to be microwaved , because we had to get home. He took the food and 30 minutes later, we got our food. The steak was burned and the carrots were hard. The salmon was shriveled up and dry as can be. My wife had to cut it with a steak knife, but didn't even try to eat it. We couldn't find our server. I stopped another server and asked for a manager. A few minutes later, she showed up and was in a hurry. We told her what happened. We were not angry, yelling, pissed off or anything like that, we just wanted to find out why the food was so terrible. We had been there almost two hours! And haven't eaten! The manager did not apologize or smile or anything. She said she just came on to work. So? She said she would cook us another dinner and we said we had to leave. She said she could order us some side dishes and we repeated that we had to leave...one more time. She said that we didn't have to pay. Really? We didn't eat, now we had to go home hungry. We had a sick person to get home to. She just walked away, so we left. It was 2:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday and the restaurant was a third full. There were servers all over the place. People all around us were waiting for their foods. One couple followed us out, hungry, too. This restaurant on East Colonial is getting worse and worse. No wonder Cheddar's is having financial problems. Dave read more

Came here to eat Sunday night. The same night as the superbowl. We had already eaten dinner elsewhere and came here for dessert only. It was 9pm. There were loads of empty tables I'm guessing because of the game, but we were sat directly under the AC vent. Burr! The waiter took our drink order (just water at the time because my SO was in the bathroom) and it took at least 10 minutes for the water to come out. He then rudely asked if we were ready to order and we asked for the cake to share. He said "pretty sure we are out of that" ..... long pause.... I mean almost awkwardly long. Then he rudely asked, "If we don't have it, is there anything else you want?". I asked for the Apple Crisp instead. Before he left we told him we would like to move to another, warmer, table. He said "OK" then pointed to another table. WE then picked up our utensils, water, etc and moved. What?! He didn't come back to the table to tell us if they had cake or not and 40 minutes later he brought the apple crisp After eating we sat for a while while waiting on the check which he brought to our table after 3 long stops to watch the game on his way over. The Apple Crisp was absolutely delicious! I have to say! But the service was the worst I have ever seen here. I have eaten here at least 10 times in the past and have never had service like this. 1 hour and 15 minutes for an apple crisp is unacceptable. I could bake my own in that amount of time. 6 stars for the food if I could give it. It was great. 1 star or less for the service. read more

1/5/16 Food is always good but the bar NEVER picks up the phone to take to-go orders. It will ring so many times it sends you back to the hostess. They have lost my business 5+ times due to this. Writing this on 1/18/17 and still having the same issue. I just got kicked back to the hostess three times before giving up. If your bartenders are too busy to take orders you need to find someone else to take them. read more

I would agree with most everyone. The place was nice and had good service. I had the fish taco(s) and they were better than average but still not as good as jimmy hulas. The trio appetizer was good too. Was not at all busy during lunch- that is the tip of the day :-) read more

Very disappointed. I chose Cheddar's for my birthday dinner and the entire family showed up. The service was good, except the waiter's cologne was a bit obtrusive. The food was substandard. The nachos were dry and stale. The spinach dip was dry on top (clearly was sitting around waiting to be sold). My Monti Cristo Sandwich was awful. All the meat piled in one place, batter fried to black around the edges, old stinky oil dripping all over the place. The fries were just as bad, cold and tasting funny, wimpy. Definitely not what I was looking for and not worth the price. read more

Changed to 2 stars 12-9-17 - waited for more than 10 min for Service at high tables in bar area. Asked front host to speak to a manager, she said she will . I sat back at table and a server came over after 5min. Service was ok but manager never came to talk to us. Waiting for a response- will update . Returned service was 110% better 5 Thanks to management and server Taylor for making this visit Better read more

Yay, I AM a fan! Cheddars was the choice for my family on a recent night out. Several of them had been there prior, myself, I had not. They said it was good, and they tweren't lying. The salmon, my choice was excellent. Tender, flaky, yum. The rice was cooked perfectly and everything seasoned well. If you are ever owing someone a meal, or it's your turn to foot the tab, this is the place to go. Good food at very, very reasonable prices. We had four adults plus a kids meal, under $50 total. Each of us got nice sized platters, too. read more

I wanted to like this place.... Heard some good things from some friends. Ambience is definitely really nice, prices seem quite reasonable, lunch combo (6.79) is comparable to Panera etc. However the items we ordered, Buffalo Chicken wrap and the Monte Cristo were so-so. Nothing spectacular. The Chicken Tortilla soup is flavorful but the chicken is too overcooked /hard. read more

Cheddar's is an extremely affordable, mid range option that delivers freshly prepared food. The food there is consistent and tasty, and I have no complaints. The servers at this location tend to be college students from UCF since the restaurant is so close, and they are friendly and quick on their feet. I ordered a chicken pecan salad the last time I went there, and some of the chicken slices appeared to be undercooked/raw. Our server immediately offered to bring out a fresh salad without batting an eye. I appreciate the service and friendliness of our waiter, and despite this slight snafu I will most likely return since Cheddar's seems to be a favorite of my father in law's. read more

Went for the first time since Darden took ownership. Had the ribs and broccoli casserole. Both were over cooked. Ordered chicken tenders for appetizer. It came just as we were finishing ribs. They were okay. WORST PART: when bill came I gave my credit card. The waiter rang it up and returned with the copy for me to sign. This time bill was about ten dollars HIGHER! Seems waiter forgot to ring up tenders and hoped I wouldn't notice!! Manager was called who straightened it out after about 20 minutes. Waiter came to apologize and I got to tell him he was a cheat. Have no reason to ever return. read more

Walked inside and I was greeted right away by the host. The inside decor was nice with the little fish tank and the unique fan in the middle of the resturant. Probably not but I would go again for a casual hangout joint. read more

Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen - Pasta had some extra pasta water in the sauce. Chicken tenders were very good so was the Monte Cristo sandwich. - American Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Paul our server was attentive and kept drinks refilled. Gave plenty of information about the menu and even understood our complex requests. Onion rings were great and fresh as we ordered those for an app. A MUST HAVE.... Philly cheesesteak was eh as well as the new Ireland pasta. The steak was cooked to perfection!!! Will be back! I usually stick to the chicken tenders and ribs (which are awesome!) but I wanted to switch it up this time. I went with the New Orleans Pasta. It's so tasty and creamy. We had dinner at the Cheddars on Colonial Drive on Sunday. There were 4 adults, 3 teenagers and a baby. We sat in the bar area at a nice round table and enjoyed the ambiance. Our server was Mateo and he did a great job meeting all the needs of everyone. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I had the light salmon meal and it was delicious. My husband had the regular salmon meal and was very pleased with his too. Our grandchildren had the mini dessert samples and they were excited about all the choices. Of course they were good - who ever gets a bad dessert!! This is a great restaurant for us to meet our kids and will definitely eat here again!! read more

This is one of my fave places. I visit there at least once in a month. Stakes are very good. If yo go late you may loose the chance to order ribs. So why 4 stars? The men's room is disgusting. Really bad and dirty to sir. I believe they don't wash hit after 3 p.m. if you don't use restrooms, the best place for having a good lunch/dinner. read more

Expected this place to be just one more spinoff of Applebee's / Friday's/ etc.. Was pleasantly surprised. Everything was clean, nice inside too. I ordered key west shrimp and chicken. It came out cold, and was way too spicy. The manger, Derrick, (I believe) greeted me and apologized. Offered me something else and I got a chicken sandwich. I have to say, Derrick (I really hope that's your name) saved the meal. My server was nice too but the manger was very polite, he saved the meal. The chicken sandy was really tasty too. I would come back for sure. read more

The food was delicious and always came out nice and fresh! The service was amazing, and we did not have to wait long at all. The prices are good, definitely not overpriced. I've always hated how most places give such small portions when you get a kid's meal, but Cheddar's gave me the perfect amount of food when I ordered off the kids menu! I would definitely suggest getting the bourbon glazed croissants, they are absolutely scrumptious! Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures but take my word for it, we had our first trip here yesterday for lunch and we will definitely be going here again! read more

I went here months before covid was even a thought. I had the tenders with broccoli and Mac and cheese. I'm a Mac and cheese fanatic and it was just okay. The best thing I ate was the honey buttered croissants. Atmosphere is nice but the food is just fine read more

I went recently after some late night ventures and I have to say that the chicken tenders are very good here. Covered in breading and fried nice and crispy just enough to where it doesn't hurt to chew. Juicy chicken, all white meat. Yum! The fries are ok. Crispy. Macaroni and cheese was great. They use breading on it and it tastes delicious. However, their isn't much of a serving. I did manage to try their croissants and while flaky and warm they did not have to much of the glazing I was hoping for.Hey were still easily enjoyed. The lighting was dark but not overbearingly, just enough to still be casual. The food is good and fairly priced. Service was good and it was the end of the night so our server kept his cool while trying to close up for the night. Also the Monte Christo sandwich. O man! Really good, but definitely not something you get all the time for me. If the sweet sandwich idea appeals to you, try it! read more

Never a disappointment coming here. The staff and atmosphere are great and the prices cannot be beat. We have family dinner here pretty often. I have yet to have a dinner here that didn't meet or exceed my expectations. We have been here with both small and large parties and services has always been on point. There is usually a wait time on weekend or during the busy dinner hours so reservations would be a nice option but waiting isn't a deal breaker. My only grip is that they recently discontinued my favorite dessert, the croissant bread pudding. One of the most amazing deserts I have ever tasted. Definitely a must visit if you're on the east side I search of a nice family restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. read more

It's bed a bad night at the old chedders tonight. Running out of food and kitchen is really slow. They should close this place and regroup.

Two stars because this place has gone down hill. The fish was cold at best, the sever Brandon needs to find another industry. He has no business serving. We were sat pretty quickly, was there for about 15 minutes before Brandon showed up. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. The appetizer showed up before the drinks. Finally, the drinks, we ordered food and asked for little plates. We ate the appetizer, meanwhile no plates, drinks were empty, and we watched those who came in after us getting food. By far this was the worst experience for $60 worth of food for three people, not including the appetizer (it was paid by the other couple with us). Definitely not what we are use to at one of our favorite places for Sunday dinner. read more

Honestly the food there is nothing special. I got chicken tenders and fries and when it came out it wasn't even fresh. For a restaurant that has such a fancy and well decorated interior the food was majorly disappointing. I must say that the honey butter croissants are worth going for. read more

I like to come here because the food is very good but the service is really horrible I don't know how such a good restaurant from Darden and company has such bad service and lately the food comes out incorrectly. I went there last night and supposedly their fryer was not working so you couldn't get french fries onion rings or anything that was fried. We each got a hamburger it couldn't get fries with it which was weird. The waitress basically we had to flag her down for everything. When I go out to eat at like to enjoy myself and not have to be stressed out and so that's why basically I've been stopped coming here a lot. there are different managers daily here some care about how you feel and some don't. they act like you're bothering them if you complain to them. read more
