We just moved into the area and asked our realtor for a recommendation to have a new coat of epoxy put over the old coat on our garage floor. We couldn't have had a better experience with Check's. Doug came to look at the floor and gave us a fair price. He explained what he and his team would do. He and his team were here in a week and we now have a beautifully renewed epoxy coated garage floor. We could tell how experienced caring, and proud he is of his workmanship. We were both impressed at how well the concrete separations were filled in. The final product is the proof. My wife and I gave Douglas a call today for an estimate and review of our upcoming floor project. To my surprise, he was able to stop by my home the same day for a no pressure estimate. When he arrived there was no pressure at all for us to make a decision. He even offered to point me in the right direction if I wanted to do it myself. Now if you have ever shopped around for contractor home repair and work, this is unheard of. Most contractors cringe at the idea of losing money to the homeowner doing their own work, some act put out to give you an estimate without getting an answer on the spot. Not Douglas....his is a very nice, no hassle or pressure visit. It really is a breath of fresh air to meet a contractor out to do the job correct, but also realize that some people are on a budget. Just meeting Douglas and speaking with him for 30 minutes regarding an estimate made it evident of his professionalism and integrity. Another excellent experience with Checks Carpet Cleaning! Even had the overly lived in sectional cleaned as well. Baby formula, food crumbs and lots of little dog hairs all removed. Thats ok and all but at least reassure the caller that they are calling a company by using a professional statement like "Checks Epoxy" or something similar. That does not begin the business deal off on a good foot. Sent email over a week ago after speaking with him and never received a response back. Ekkkk.... While he is very friendly and confident in his work, his pricing is on the upper end of all the quotes I have obtained for the same/similar professional epoxy from a company like APF. He leaves the impression that this is a business he runs on the side and not what he makes a living doing. Shop around you will find a better deal with the same warranty/quality/grinding service etc. read more

My poor husband was under a very tight deadline to have some last minute epoxy done on a garage floor for a very demanding home buyer and in an effort to find a epoxy company that could meet his deadline I turned to Yelp to help him out. I decided to put down a metallic epoxy on my garage floor myself. Being that I have never done anything like this, I was a little apprehensive about preparing the surface for the product. Because of this, I decided to call Checks Epoxy. I called and spoke with Douglas and he was willing to come over and look at my floor without any pressure to have him even do any work! That's quite refreshing and rare. I ended up deciding to have his company go ahead and grind the floor for me, and the guy he sent over did a great job. Once the surface was prepped and I put down the primer, he asked if I needed help applying the Metallic Epoxy. Wow! He was totally willing to come over and help me to make sure I was doing it right, even though I wasn't even paying him! I've never had this kind of experience before. I'm so thankful he did because I don't think the metallic epoxy would have turned out NEARLY as good. There's so many little things that you don't think about that can really effect the outcome. IT LOOKS AMAZING!! He even came back the next day and helped me roll out the clear top coat. I am truly thankful for all the help he provided.
