The custom service is sloppy. I was waiting for more than 15 minutes for an order I was delivering after being told it was being prepared. 1:45 AM to 2:10 AM. I walked back to to the window to be told "we forgot about your order" while the bag was sitting on the counter ready. One of the Checkers workers before I went up to the window a second time was going to peoples cars handing them their bags, it was the tall wide rounded one, he made eye contact with me and I never saw him again. Food was cold. Ordered on Uber eats. Received food within 15 minutes of ordering. The driver drove directly here; only took 5 minutes. This burger was sitting around before the sandwich was made. We go here from time to time because it's convenient but we haven't been there in a while because honestly the food just isn't that good it's cold and just not good so it's been a while since we've been there but we went there tonight. The girl working in the window had absolutely no customer service no personality, straight up rude, flinging her arm up at me saying what do you want with no smile no expression why???? Oh because I forgot to order at the intercom my two kids had distracted me I even told her that, and I apologized I was nothing but nice with a smile on my face. I work with the public all day and that's not how you treat customers. Needless to say I left. I wasn't going to have her handle my food with the way she acted!!!! That was literally the one constant and good thing about this establishment I've always had great customer service there All the girls have always been so sweet, but this one does not help your business people like that Shouldn't work with the public whatsoever. read more

Ladies room is locked and worker says all customers must use men's room as ladies room is for workers only. As she is talking to a 60+ year old paying customer!! I live in the area but won't be back for being told I must use a men's room. Ive been here many time over many years never had to use the designated men's room before. read more

Oh, if they would only train these young people that work in these restaurants. I always thought that checkers could be the only fast food establishment that could be different from the rest. Regretfully disestablishment in Port St. Lucie Florida on US one is a mess. You don't know me, but I am, a 43 year culinarian with a lot of experience and I am being brutally fair. Whoever is responsible for this property you really need to get on the stick. Example the pick up window is filthy and would never pass any food inspection. The amount of salt you use on your fries is beyond comprehension. Maybe it was a mistake but it's the second time it's happened I hoped you are new beef. Brisket sandwich was gonna be a winner. Sorry it was dredged and barbecue sauce. The bread was saturated. There were no chunks of meat as advertised just bits and pieces. Someone's not paying attention also when you don't have a product you need to exit off the menu, especially for people that are in the drive up laneagain, I'm sure your staff works hard. Not sure what's going on with checkers on US one in Port St. Lucie. Sorry to be made to order. Lately I feel like they are microwaving everything. And the fries are cold and limp. They're not crunchy and hot like they used to be. My fish sandwich was hard around the edges but hot in the middle. That tells me microwave. I used to love this place, not anymore.. Went here for lunch with coworkers and ask for a sauce for my friend. Since there was already a meal with a sauce ordered ( chicken bite box), the driver thru person proceeded to tell us in her VERY condescending tone that she had already given us a sauce and wasn't going to give another. The food at Checkers is actually pretty good, but the drive-thru workers at times could be a little on edge which I could understand after having a long day at work, but that shouldn't mean that customers should be handled and spoken to with an attitude, I honestly never had a bad experience at any Checkers until this time, so overall, the staff could use training on how to properly deal with customers. read more

Today was my last change with this place. I work a few miles up the road and food options are limited around here. I decided to go to Checkers for lunch today. In recent months I've been nicely greeted by a middle aged guy who has never once been rude. Not today. Today I was not even greeted. I pulled up to the speaker in search of the chicken bites box I wanted. It looked like they changed it since the last time I was there, and it appeared to look like the size of a kids meal. So I waited till I heard the person ready to take my order and it's silence. After about 30 seconds I hear, ready to take your order whenever you're ready. What? Really? That's how you greet your customers? No welcome to Checkers? Her tone was very rude and off putting. So I asked about the normal box of chicken bites I get, she yells out that it's a #9. I said well that looks like a kids meal, I am looking for the adult version, she repeats, it's #9, they offer a 1/2 pound on this option I notice in small print. That was my mistake that I didn't see it, but she could have politely corrected that. No, she just kept being rude and yelling at me. So then I ask for the 1/2 pound but for an upgrade to the fries to be chili cheese fries, and she tells me I can't do that. Why? I have gotten this meal in the past , she says they come in the box with the chicken and they can't be chili cheese fries. OK then I'll just switch meals I tell her. She was SO annoyed. I paused myself and look ahead at the window she was in. I wished at this point that I could drive off and say I'll give my business elsewhere, but I was stuck in their line. So I proceeded to read off my order and was nothing but polite when I got to the window and paid for my food. I even said thank you very much to throw that extra bit of kindness she's missing. I will say, the first thing I did after getting my food was open it and make sure there was nothing tossed in there because I was incredibly uncomfortable with this visit and it's the last one I will ever make. read more

Sooooo disappointed! We went to our 1st Checkers on Abercorn St. in Savannah, GA approximately 1 month ago and it was OUTSTANDING! We didn't go inside, so I can't comment on the inside facilities, but our Checker burgers were fresh, looked great, hot and tasted outstanding! Upon walking into this one, we immediately noticed a very odd and unpleasant smell... It made us decide to eat in our car, as opposed to eating inside, which we had originally planned on eating inside. My hunger over rode my common sense or we would have turned around immediately! We were greeted almost immediately, so we proceeded. The lady who took our order was very kind, fast and attentive. We got the same burgers, but what a difference between the two locations! The burgers were almost completely cold and looked like they had been sitting around for too long and were haphazardly thrown together. We won't be back and this experience has completely changed our impression (negatively) of Checkers! It's a chain, therefore there should be procedures and quality control, which would provide consistency between locations!! read more

Stopped in here on a Sunday early afternoon. Employees were busy filling orders. Stood at register for 5 minutes with employees looking and walking by me at register. Not one person acknowledge I was there or said we will be with you as soon as we can which I would of understood. Left and most likely will not return even though we live minutes away. We have eaten here twice since moving to Port St. Lucie. We have always loved Checkers seasoned fries and Big Bufords. This store has an indoor walk up which is nice, not outside. And a nice seating area outside. Our experience here has been good and food comparable to other Checkers in Atlanta and Delray Beach. Have not had bad experience or food here. For a fast food place it took forever to get our food. There was a manager was on our side of the counter and she was leaning over where you receive the food and she was taking up the whole area. There was very few people in line yet they all seemed to be chatting rather than taking orders and dealing with customers.
