The mac and cheese and creamed spinach were excellent - rich and flavorful. The family recipe barley soup was rich and tasty. The egg drop soup had a bit too much salt for my taste. Our half chicken, although nicely seasoned, was overcooked. For desert, a mango salsa topped tapioca pudding was outstanding; fresh and not too sweet. Served with a chewy chocolate chip cookie on the side, it was a perfect ending to our meal. The servers were all delightful and our service was great. Michael, the owner and chef told so many great stories from his history. It's almost impossible to have anything other than a great evening. The restaurant is light and open, but it's a small place and the tables are a bit tight.v overall, an excellent meal and a good time.

So when…read moreI saw Chef Michael's video the other day announcing he was going to start offering Egg Rolls on Sundays, I immediately remembered wanting to try the BBQ Chinese Spareribs already on his regular menu. I started thinking... if the Chinese food at Flybird is anywhere near as impressive as everything else they do, this could be a revelation... especially considering the dearth of really good Chinese food in South Florida. So I waited for Sunday with anticipation. Yes... they had Egg Rolls! And I also noticed they recently added Egg Drop Soup to the regular menu. Perfect... now I could assemble a complete meal. In addition to the Egg Rolls, I ordered the Egg Drop Soup, BBQ Chinese Ribs, and Chicken Fried Rice. Wow! Winner Winner Chinese Dinner!! Everything was excellent. The Egg Drop Soup is rich and heartier than the versions you typically see... absolutely delicious. The Egg Roll is hand-rolled and feels like a gourmet interpretation... exactly what you'd expect if a serious chef decided to elevate a classic, served with housemade Duck Sauce and Chinese Mustard. The BBQ Ribs were also fantastic... fall-off-the-bone tender, meaty, and loaded with flavor. And then there's the Chicken Fried Rice... unlike any version you've probably had before. It's packed with generous chunks of chicken and real vegetables throughout. Broccoli in fried rice? When have you ever seen that? A huge portion too... loved it. Everything here always seems to be done with thought and care. We're lucky to have a serious chef like Michael bringing his culinary talent and creativity to Delray Beach. He keeps finding ways to surprise people... and that's a big part of what makes Flybird so much fun. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

So TL:DR, I'm sold! I'm coming back and hoping it's consistent because this meal was delicious. Ordered tacos: steak, carnitas, and barbacoa. With rice and beans and washed it down with a large agua de Jamaica. Steak taco tasted like a real steak taco, and drenched with lime and salsa from their extremely convenient salsa bar, it was fantastic. The carnitas tacos was next, it was nice and tender, great taste, and again, drenched in lime and a mix of their green and red salsa it was very yummy. In between I had the rice and beans that were excellent imo. I'm Mexican and grew up eating beans 5-7 days week so i know a thing or two. The rice and beans were very close to home made. Very nostalgic. Finally I was expecting the barbacoa taco to be, not-so-good. I dunno know honestly I just expected them to not be perfect. Barbacoa was on-point! Great taste and not dry. Good potion of meat too, so I was able to eat some of the meat with rice and beans and that was amazing. Tortillas are made in-house and tasted great, I'm usually picky about this but these weren't too thick and tasted great. The agua de Jamaica was excellent. On the sweet side but not overly overly sweet. It was the perfect meal for that particular day, it hit the spot and didn't cost an arm and a leg. It's in a plaza, in a halfway sketchy neighborhood tbh but is worth going to and very close to 95. I will be going back and probably ordering the exact same order.

If you're in the mood for quick takeout that actually tastes fresh, Zona Fresca never disappoints…read more I stopped in for lunch one day since I drive by this location often. For first impressions everything held up perfectly. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, the veggies were still crisp, and the whole plate had that bright, clean flavor. I loved the lemon zesty rice. Even as takeout, it felt like a proper meal. Generous portions, plenty of flavor, and nothing soggy or thrown together. You can tell they cook everything to order. The salsa and chips they pack with it always hit the spot too. If you want something fast but not "fast food," the Zone Entrée from Zona Fresca is a solid go-to. Fresh, consistent and super convenient for a take-home dinner.

What impressed me most wasn't just that she solved the problem--it was her attitude. She was kind, professional, calm, and genuinely cared about helping me. In a world where great customer service is becoming harder to find, Rachell reminded me what it looks like when an employee truly goes above and beyond. We were sat at a table near the bar which was great as it was inside and had a nice breeze with the fans and AC. Damien was our server and was wonderful at explaining the menu and the concept of their scratch kitchen. For our drinks we tried the classic and guava-habanero margaritas. We ended up liking the classic more just because the fresh ingredients were reminiscent of those we had in Mexico. It was a little too warm out to be doubling down on spice in our drinks too. We ordered a brisket quesadilla and for our tacos: carnitas, chorizo, and crispy fish. For our second round (not pictured), my husband tried the spicy chicken. He was warned the spicy chicken is exceptionally spicy but he didn't think that warning was warranted so maybe don't be afraid to try it if you're not big on spice. We had tap water that they left a large bottle on the table for. Even though we didn't drink too much of it, they still replaced it with a fresh bottle after a while since it probably got warm. One staff member even came to wipe up the water that had sweat off our drinks. Overall, El Camino exceeded our expectations. All of the staff was kind and courteous and the food was off the chart. And those happy hour prices are hard to beat! We definitely will be back!
