Well, there is a lot to say about our stay at the Jasper Ridge Inn…read more They were overall absolutely accommodating, beyond friendly and made our stay so comfortable. We stayed here for two days during a storm induced power outage. Best of all, it was all during Thanksgiving. The hotel itself is very simple. Bedding is old school, but comfortable and warm. It has seen its better days, but again it's what you would expect at a simple hotel. Towels are plenty, and they are very efficient and making sure you have all you need. Our fridge was not working during our stay, and they promptly brought another one right away. We had a pet also. They were again friendly and understanding during the whole stay. Breakfast had a variety of foods including potatoes, biscuits and gravy, pastries, bagels, mini muffins and toast. There was also yogurt and fruit. The cable TV is well...horrible, because cable is just terrible anyways. But they have Wi-fi, therefore you can bring your own entertainment. If you stay here, I would also consider making sure that you leave everything as nice as you've found because they have a small, but very respectful staff that works as a team and does everything and anything to keep the hotel running smoothly. So by leaving things nicely you will help them out too.

I left impressed and ready to return to this hotel next time I'm in Marquette.

Let's start with a fully-furnished house. Add lawn and snow removal service. A generator if the power goes out. Excellent WIFI. A quiet lake with views and everything you need to enjoy it like a fire pit, grill and kayaks. A location that's convenient to so many UP attractions. But mostly it's Jeff and Angie and their customer service mindset. They personally answer every call and text and respond immediately. All the cottages are meticulously maintained and upgraded. We were never at any point offered a helmet. Didn't know they were available. We did appreciate the care he received by the ski patrol. - Wish there was a shorter ski pass option available. It was my mistake to assume skiing conditions would be OK on an icy March day, but I ended up skiing all of 30 mins. in very poor conditions and spending $300 on three of us to ski and take a short snowboard lesson. - Love the "Learn to" package deal. It was confusing when and whether this was offered, but once we determined it was, we really appreciated the intro lesson. - Ski rental -- the person working here did not set up my bindings correctly and I had to go back and have him fix it. - Apparently there was a group of people sitting in the lodge laughing and making fun of the inexperienced skiers falling. Not the fault of the ski hill, but just thought people might like a heads up about the culture and clientele this place might attract. Won't be returning here next time we're in the UP. Just not a great vibe overall. People really should be ashamed of this kind of behavior. It's not the Michigan that I grew up in.
