    Creepy hallway!!
    Ashley G.

Stayed here for two nights with a couple of friends. It's a beautiful hotel. Nicely decorated. It's supposedly haunted, which is why one of my friends wanted to stay here. However, the hotel doesn't seem to engage much in the haunted story. Not much on the website about it. However, when I googled the hotel, there is a ghost story attached to it. Nothing too crazy or exciting. It would have been a little more fun if the hotel hyped up the haunting. Regardless, it was still a lovely stay. The location is perfect in the downtown area. Close to everything. The hallways definitely looked haunted. The room was spacious and beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised at how modern it was, yet still had a classical feel. Everything was clean and staff were friendly. Good food options available at the hotel. They have a gym on the 6th floor. Parking can be tricky if you're coming back later at night; by then it seems all the parking is taken. Overall, absolutely beautiful hotel and I would happily stay here again!

Overall the Landmark Inn was wonderful. The staff was amazing! The location is perfect for business at NMU. My only recommendation/issue is if there is a band or event on the 6th floor don't have a room on the 5th floor. Sooo loud. I called to find out what time the band would stop and was sad to find it wasn't until around 11 when I had to be up at 6. Beside that everything was perfect and plan to return.

Great downtown location. Otherwise a dump. We stayed in Room 512. Carpet is beyond stained up. Also there is crusty red stuff on is- gross. Chair is broken. Thick dust on pictures. Big dust web on ceiling. Shower is 2'x2'- that was fun to shave my legs! The positives? Location & no bed bugs.

    Dirty / Moldy AC

Staff is pleasant for the most part. (Only reason this place gets 2 stars) Extremely limited parking . Dirty room furniture, mold build up in the AC. So basically mold spores are being blown out every time the AC is on. Also, AC is very noisy.

Northland Pub's outdoor patio, the Southwest Cobb & Mojito were delightful after Art On The Rocks today. That big loud building fan next to patio is distracting and makes it hard to hear when it kicks on, but I doubt there's much that can be done there. The patio is adorable other than that, sun dappled seating with plants & trees.

We were planning our trip to the UP and we did our research. We had heard all about he food scene in Marquette and couldn't resist an opportunity to stay in this awesome city. If you are staying in the area and need a great place to land, the Landmark Inn will not disappoint. We were excited about the history of the Inn. Walking through the doors, one can image being transported back in time. It is a fantastic place to stay due to it's location in relation to all the food spots and bars. We were able to hop around the city and didn't need to worry about driving or getting a ride. We stayed here the end of July, we should have been in St. John US Virgin Islands, but we needed to change our plans due to Covid. That being said, certain amenities were inaccessible due to social distancing. The hotel has a few bars which were not open and we hope to come back and experience the full grander of this historical inn.

Our room preference (high floor/ end room) was granted - much to my husband's dismay... as he was carrying the tour back to the furthest possible point from check- eek. (We did move the bike to the other end for check-out & he was in a much better mood after that shorter trek.) The rooms were noted as renovated a few years ago. Had I not known going in, I'd have guessed 80s (as the hubby did when I asked him to date the last update). The ceiling is concrete & painted mauve, making for (much appreciated) serious noise reduction & perhaps a bit of a hospital or prison feel, if you will. The walls are a light gray, as is the furniture. The artwork (3 pictures) was oddly small (8x10) & hung oddly. They furnishings were, perhaps, excessive. To open up the space & reduce the crammed in strangely look, I'd suggest removing a couple of things. There was a wall shelf/ TV holder. Under that was a desk, literally pushed under, as was dresser. It looked as if the furniture was pushed back for cleaning, stacking it up. There was also a wardrobe, chair & table that slides over the chair (think tv tray). The room was exceprionally clean & in excellent condition. It was 3/4 bath with a large shower - no tub. The bed was comfortable & temperature control worked well. The pool & sauna are not to be missed! The location is great for accessing assorted things to do. All in all a very good stay. We simply have a different taste than the decorator did, apparently. We are platinum with IHG & booked directly, without using points.

The only reason I gave this a 4-star is because of one of the front desk staff. She was too nice to where it felt like her interactions were fake. She also was not accommodating when we asked about using a space that was empty, for a meeting. We had 20 people staying there so to ask to use an empty dining room for 1/2 hour should not have been an issue. Even with that being said, I'd go back. They have a great pool, hot tub, and sauna!

Not only was it easy to find, the view of Lake Superior from our second floor room was amazing!!! It was also nice that we were on the end, and the motel was not overly busy - so it was really quite in the evening. The room itself was quite large, with a coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge/freezer, and sink. The bathroom was also large and included towels and the basic amenities. We had a king size bed, which was very comfortable! The TV was so nice (picture quality far better than my tv at home) and there were so many channels. My favorite are always the music video channels - great for background music! The patio was large and it was lovely to sit out and watch the sunset. Although it is located off a main road, the surroundings and atmosphere was very quite and peaceful. It was evident there had been recent updates/renovations, so recent there was not a rod or hangers in the closet. In fact, there were few places to lay out clothes. There was one table top, desk top, 2 night stands, and single chair in the room. We were there for 3 nights, so it wasn't too bothersome and I am sure they will finish installing these minor items soon. There is an outdoor pool, it was not in use during my stay (it was a brisk 55-65F). I booked using Hotels.com and they text you the door code prior to your arrival. I had called customer service with a question and they were extremely helpful. Overall, 5 stars! Highly recommend and would stay here again :)

Decided to give them a try again. After a delayed flight I arrived at this hotel after midnight. The parking in front was full so I drove to the back. I saw a door but I know they usually require a key so I drove back to the front to check in. The front desk lady Vanessa was very pleasant and thanked me for calling them to tell them I'd be arriving after midnight. I asked if my room was close to the doors she said yes which was great. But the it gets bad. I told her I drove around and saw it but came back to the front because those doors require a key. To mt horror and dismay she said no it's unlocked no key required. And she was correct I drove back around to unload and I walked right in. I will never stay here again since anyone without a key can access the hotel in back and the front desk will never see you. Side note, shower was great. Love hard pressure water.
