I am late getting to this review but I wanted to put in my two or three cents about Tom and his…read morecompany. For the negative reviewers, I am not family to Tom, not one of his Facebook friends, etc. Nor have I been offered a gift card. I was introduced to him by another contractor whom I've known for a number of years and trust his judgement. We had to take on a roof project when we had a slow leak destroy a corner of our laundry room. When I took apart the ceiling it was obvious that this had been going on for a while. We'd had this fixed previously though the water had found a way to come back and had gotten much more serious. This occurred about March timeframe so it was problematic getting someone to come out. Tom came out with Alex and did a thorough check of the roof, found the area in question, and provided options. The part of the roof with problems wasn't quite a flat roof but wasn't pitched enough to always shed water. We wanted something we would never have to worry about again, plus while we were fixing this one side we figured on just doing the whole thing and making it right. Tom gave us a few different options. We did also contact a couple other roofing companies to get competing quotes. We decided to go with Tom because we felt the price was fair for the value - not cheap, or cheapest but well explained as to what was going to be done. We also had a solar installation to remove, and Tom knew of a firm that could do this (which ended up being the same people the solar company recommended). It took almost 6 weeks to get the requisite approvals from the town thanks to the 'Rona, but once that was done, we made our down payment and then maybe only another 2 weeks to get everything ordered and on-site. The crew ended up having to strip the roof down which was an unexpected add-on but not egregious. (This actually helped to ensure that we were able to get the water damaged area completely taken care of later.) The crew brought a big dump trailer and tarped off all of my gardens around the house. Considering what came off the house (two layers of shingles, tarpaper, drip edges, flashing, nails, etc.) they did a pretty good job keeping stuff from getting everywhere. There were a couple of spots where it wasn't perfect but they took care of it. The team that did the roof was extremely polite and professional. They came to the house early, worked their butts off all day, and stayed late. They definitely understood the technical aspects of the roof system and ensured that the components were applied in the right order, using the correct methods. It was easy to see they took pride in what they were doing. The results were outstanding. First and foremost, no more leaks (there was a false alarm on this but more about that in a bit). Second, the job they did was professional and looks great. The small details were well taken care of. Third, I had no issues getting a hold of Tom, Alex, or the team working on the house. I always knew what was going on. This extended to after the job was done. About 6 weeks after this finished, it had rained heavily and I discovered some water damage to a bathroom ceiling. Naturally, I thought something was wrong with the roof. So I texted Tom and asked him about it. He said he would be right on it. Alex called me in 5 minutes and set up a time to come take a look. Long story short, it wasn't the roof but the way the original plumber did the vent. Fixing the roof just exposed the problem with the way the vent was installed. I would recommend Tom and TH for roofs without reservation.

NEW STEEPLE EXTERIOR MCAS did a terrific job replacing the…read moreexterior of the steeple on our church. We are so pleased with their solution and it was a pleasure working with them. We don't know of any other company in the Westchester area that has the experience needed to perform this kind of work. The steeple, which dates from the original construction of the church in the 1970s, is made of plywood. The exterior had been coated with a thick, rubberized, highly water-resistant paint. Because it was only paint protecting the plywood from the elements, it required a new paint job every 6 or 7 years. And because the steeple is so high and hard to access, any painting had required either building scaffolding or renting a bucket truck. A rather expensive bit of upkeep. MCAS helped us analyze other easier-to-maintain options--either traditional shingles or metal sheathing. We decided on metal sheathing because 1) it would have a cleaner look and be more attractive, and 2) it would last longer. Yes, the installation would cost more, but long-term it would be a simpler and more elegant solution. MCAS gave us a great price on the install--around 20k. And despite equipment hassles (the rented bucket truck kept breaking down), they got the work done in 10 days. There was only one actual installer who was an expert with aluminum sheeting. He approached the work as an artist and did a beautiful, impeccable job. On top of that, he was a super-nice guy. Our new steeple should last for 50 years or more and continues to be a bright spot in the Tarrytown community. Michael Casolaro, the owner of MCAS, has a documented history of high-quality roofing work (customized copper gutters to standard reshingling--the gamut) and we are so glad we went with him on this project. P.S. MCAS also reshingled our roof at the same time they resurfaced our steeple, and they did an excellent job with that as well. P.P.S. Please note, this job was done in spring, 2019. We then lived in Westchester, NY, but have since moved.

No idea if they have a good price or good service but if they can't show up for the appointments as scheduled, I don't know how you trust them to do the rest of the job.
