On 10/7 I received an email from my landlord that they received a check from the same TD Bank…read moreaccount whose check bounced last month thus incurring a fee for me. The TD branch manager's 7/24 letter states that the account is being closed and that checks received after 8/8 will be returned. I was advised to discontinue writing additional checks but I stopped writing checks long ago. The only checks sent from my account was an automatic bill pay that the bank itself sends. Despite their own letter stating not to send checks after 8/8, TD continues to send rent checks from my closed account apparently in retaliation for my negative online reviews. They sent a check in September which bounced and incurred a fee. I complained to both state and federal regulators about this Canadian bank which prompted a response from TD stating they would refund me the fee and had stopped sending rent checks as of September. However, they then sent a rent check to my landlord in October. Also, I have yet to receive their promised refund from sending the bounced September check. I'm tired of their lies. They need to stop sending checks from an account that has been closed for months and accept that my negative online reviews are not coming down despite their continued harassment.

They were the only company to push back. My bank paired with them for credit card, and so I had to go through them. They refused to take any legal documentation that my bank, social security, etc approved. They refuse to call me by my legal name, only using my dead name. If I use my legal name, they refuse to give me information. Multiple times I was berated over the phone by a customer service manager for being unable to pay a minimum amount they raised to 300 due to their own customer service employee messing up my phone-in payment. customer service also claimed they changed my name in system, and told me it was okay to cut up my old card. It was not changed. They sent me a restricted card on the account of dead name, who is the only one who can call in and ask for information. I live 13 hours away, and they refuse to help unless I drive there, myself. I have more than enough proof of who I am. As soon as I pay this off, I will close my account and never work with them, again.

The amount of sauce they gave for the tangsuyuk was also lacking. Not sure if it was just us but we didn't get any banchan (radish) with our order while I saw everyone else got one. I also tried to order another dish right after someone else ordered, and they told me they're closed now. The parking at this hmart was pretty bad though. It took some time to find parking in the parking lot. Probably due it's located at a pretty busy plaza with a lot of restaurants. I usually swing by on weekday afternoons when it's quieter and easier to browse without the rush. Some of the prices are on the higher side, but the quality and overall shopping experience make it worth it. The store feels bright and organized which could be relaxing and a nice contrast to most grocery runs. The produce, meat, and seafood sections are always fresh and well stocked, with plenty of variety. I especially love their tofu selection, ready to eat banchans, and marinated meats, perfect for quick dinners. I find myself always ending up with a box of Korean pears, golden kiwis, and soy milk in my cart no matter what I came in for. This little spa and grocery ritual always leaves me feeling recharged, with a calm mind and a happy fridge.

Otherwise, expect: -expired items galore, check the dates of EVERYTHING -coupons that you apply to your account via mobile app will not show up at the register upon checkout nor will they be applied -"one way" aisles that are 2-way chaos -sky high prices on many items: for example babybel cheese will cost $3-4 at Trader Joe's. Here? $10! -"sale" prices that aren't rung up as such upon rendering payment. Check your receipt or just expect to pay regular price on everything. Otherwise the process of getting a manager takes forever and they don't even care to rectify the issue. -there's a little clearance rack back by the bathrooms, so that's cool today we did a huge order of nearly $300. We were supposed to get a solid $20 in savings that didn't materialize on the receipt... In this pandemic and over a holiday weekend, we frankly didn't bother to go back into the store with our (further) rotting perishable foodstuffs in the vehicle to undertake a consumer justice mission more aggravating and complex than the treaty of Versailles, the Potsdam agreement, camp David accords, etc etc. There's Aldi in town, shop rite in town, and Lidl is close by. Hell, try your luck at a super Walmart somewhere. Step into this Acme if you're willing to accept being screwed over for "convenience."
