Love it! 1) I didn't look like I was from the area. Always nice when someone gets my first round. 2) Bartenders- Tera was really nice! Knows all the customers and not one of those snotty ones that don't talk and want your tips. 3) That Great Lakes Christmas Ale. They up it up a level by adding cinnamon on the rim of the glass. (See pic). 4) Modern jukebox with a wide variety of music....AC/DC to Snoop Dogg. 5) The people at the bar. Welcoming and even helping us win $70 on Keno. Meh: No bar food available. I'll just have to come back next time to try their burgers. Overall an awesome night and visit to the Towne Tavern.

The food looked great but we only had drinks. The bartender was simply amazing, sweet and sassy and controlled the room with ease. I never once felt like I had to wait. It's a little dark and the drinks are a little on the pricey side and they don't really have anything outstanding for beer selection but overall it was a great evening.

Sadly, that was not the case... BUT, it wasn't a total waste! I've been to Benny's sports bar before in the ambiance have always been great....great security, great people with great music and not to mention ridiculously great food! This was my official first time eating at Benny's, not that I have wanted to before, just never did...I don't know what I was thinking!! Lol. The menu is two-sided with a lot of tasty options. Finally we decided on an appetizer of 3 and panadillas period two chicken and one beef. they were VERY appetizing. Handmade empanadas oh, and the chicken was also very well made and seasoned. The one beef empanadas was absolutely scrumptious and all three were filled with very generous portions. Meanwhile, Mary the bartender took excellent care of us and all our needs. Very accommodating and extremely friendly...Mary was also very helpful with our selections. We finally decided on 2 Pernil Sandwiches - my goodness... We weren't ready for what we received. The sandwich was by far one of my top three sandwiches that I've ever eaten in my life! The other two titles are held by my mother and grandmother if that tells you anything lol. Sandwiches came out cut in half on a toasted French bread bun. The bun itself with seasoned before it was griddled with seasoning and the mixture of butter along with seasonings are embedded within the bread... Absolutely delicious. And that's just the bread! The pork came very very moist and traditionally seasoned with Puerto Rican spices... And absolutely dripping with flavor. Also accompanied is chopped lettuce and a piece of tomato on each half of the sandwich. It also comes with cheese and a secret sauce that they slather on that is generously applied and tasted VERY good! Simple potato chips are served on the side as well. These sandwiches can be best accompanied with an ice cold Corona with a lime. We had a very good time even though we didn't dance, it was fairly early in the night when we left because we wanted to check out a few other spots, but I guarantee you next time we will be closing that bitch out!! - thank you for the excellent service and hospitality. We will certainly return!

The Ledger Bar is a small (I mean small) bar situated on the balcony that overlooks the…read moreMetropolitan at the 9's Hotel Lobby. Since the Metropolitan is home to an apartment complex, an upscale hotel, a rooftop bar, a dog park, a Pilates studio, a theater, a basement vault bar, and a "high-end" eatery, there's a whole lot of people constantly coming and going. Sitting at the four (five?) two-person tables situated right at the balcony railing means you can easily lean over and watch people come and go while sipping your drinks. Unlike the rest of the bars in the hotel, I was told there was no drink menu at the Ledger, and the bartender (who waited my table!) simply asked what flavor profile I was desiring tonight. The resulting drink he made was honestly good, and I really enjoyed it. Zero idea what was in it to ever order it again (and he was really overworked to ask!), but it was a neat experience of a "craft your own experience". There were a few beers on tap. I'm unsure about wine. Centro's food menu (restaurant downstairs) appears to be available here. There's a single unisex bathroom within steps of the bar, and the regular hotel lobby bathrooms are down a floor. As conference rooms are nearby this bar, I'd also probably guess there's a large conference room bathroom block too, but I didn't find that one. The rest of the bars and restaurants in the Metropolitan tend to take most of the attention here, and the Ledger has a much more laid-back, chill vibe. A lot of people were watching a sports game (baseball, I think?) on the TV behind me. With the smaller space and wide "open" area of the full lobby, the Ledger feels like your calmest, quietest bar option out of the available places at the Metropolitan.

The wait for the food order (which was delicious) was reasonable given there was a private event happening, although it did seem the bartender was stretched a little thin, taking care of the 6-7 people at the bar, making drinks for another area, and putting glasses away from a previous shift. I had the meatballs and an Italian chopped salad, both very good. Overall, it was a nice experience.
