I've used Lusk Tree Services for a few years now. From the moment I called for an estimate to this…read moreevening when the job was completed - the entire experience was fabulous! Tyler reviewed what needed to be done and agreed with me on almost everything except one tree. He said, No. We're not cutting it down - we're going to prune it, rebalance it and then feed it. Well, I had to agree with that approach. Saving a tree is a good thing. This morning, the crew arrived ready to work. They reviewed what needed to be done and got to it. There was no pussyfooting around with these folks. After the first crew completed the cutting that needed to be done, led by Steven, the second crew arrived, led by Troy. Both were just as dedicated to execute their tasks in the most responsible and professional manner. They used the required safety gear and they spoke to one another respectfully - with courtesy and consideration. It was quite impressive. Now anytime there's tree work, there's cool equipment and climbing. Which everyone wants to see so, attached are some photos of these fine gentlemen at work. If you ever need tree health assistance or tree removal help, do not hesitate to call the pros at Lusk Tree. I highly recommend them.

I was impressed by how quickly the crew took down the tree. Dustin climbed and dropped branches right where they were supposed to fall. I will be calling Mabe's for any tree services in the future.

I needed a dead oak removed and attempted to gather a few quotes. Other tree services were either…read moretoo expensive (as in four figures for a single tree) or not responsive to inquiries, so I went with Mabes. Owner Dustin Mabe was easy to reach, and he and his crew took fewer than two hours to down and remove the tree and clean up. Their pricing, efficiency, and quality of work were impressive, and I will probably turn to them again if any of our other trees seem in danger of toppling. I say "probably" rather than "definitely" because of Dustin's sense of timing. When I first called him for a quote, we agreed upon a certain time for him to do a quick appraisal, but he showed up at least a half-hour earlier than expected. Then, when I called the next week to schedule the removal, he said he would check his schedule and get back to me the next day with his availability. Instead, he called me early the next morning to say that he'd had a cancellation and wanted to do the removal an hour or two later. This ended up working out OK in the long run, but it would not have under normal (non-quarantine) circumstances, and it's something for those without a lot of scheduling flexibility to beware of. You'll also want to confirm whatever quote that was given to you as it will not be e-mailed to you (though proof of insurance will). In short, Mabes does great work at an unbeatable price albeit with a few eyebrow-raising practices.
