    Alley vibes

Alright. Tucked away in a CUTE alley is this little food truck. It was a quiet Saturday, and it sits by itself between some cute shops. We had NO idea what we were in for but WOW. We had the Xicano cheesesteak, and let me tell you - this was hands down the best rendition of cheesesteak I've ever had. The poblano peppers and the seasonings just brought this sando home. If you're in the area, come try this place!

Fun new find on Division. Chayo will not disappoint! Absolutely delicious Mexican cheesesteak sandwich. Highly recommended. There is seating in the alley for probably five or six groups of folks to enjoy this truck's fare. Order ahead to avoid any waits. So so good.

Wowow, I got a tinga sandwich and it was delicious! Soft bread, tasty chicken. Light but filling. I'm so happy to be able go walk to such good Mexican food. This rivals the Guero torta, as one of the best I've had in Portland.

I've been waiting to try this place since it opened! I had my eyes set on the Ay Chihuahua but after reading a couple articles about this place I decided to try the Hot Oli. Flavor was good, pork loin potentially tasted a little dry, but maybe that's their style? Next time I stop here I definitely want to try that Ay Chihuahua!

This place is excellent - I've come here a few times now and I'm always impressed. Today I ordered the Xicano Cheesesteak and it blew my mind! Carne asada, tons of cheese, poblanos, onions and green peppers made for an amazing combination of flavors, but the addition of the avocado salsa and roasted tomato salsa sends it over the edge. The final element of perfection is the perfectly toasted bread that gives the perfect crunch. Highly recommend!

After striking out at several lunch spots along SE Division that are closed for lunch on Wednesdays, I lucked out and came upon this food cart. I ordered the Gringa with carne asada, and OH MY GOODNESS, so incredibly tasty. I wish it came with some chips and salsa, but oh well. Excellent service as well. Cannot wait to go back and try some other items on the menu.

Awesome! Visiting from out of town and knew we needed to try a food truck in Portland. Glad it was this one! Get the Chicano cheesesteak. You won't be sorry!

So so delicious... We ordered both, split them and practically inhaled the food... so delicious I would have a hard time choosing just one item from the menu. Fresh ingredients friendly service and clean outdoor seating.

    Chicano cheesesteak

One of the best food trucks in Portland. The Chicano cheesesteak sandwich is my favorite and the gringa is delicious

    Closing for the winter notice

Recently on The Oregonian list of 10 best new food carts and deservedly so. Featuring the "gringa". Go soon, they close for the winter. Last day November 5th, back in April 2023.

Carne asada tacos and chicken tinga lonches

Outstanding! We've been here twice since we first discovered it a few weeks ago. Best tacos we've had in Portland, and the chicken tinga sandwich is incredible. You can tell this food is made with lots of love and care!

Wait was ok they give you a buzzer so you can stroll around the food court. Took about 10 mins not bad. The locally sourced steelhead was a delicious surprise. Tender, juicy fish with crispy breading. Good seasoning. Fries were thicker so not as crispy but still hearty. 3 medium sized pieces of fish. They included ketchup for the fries as well as malt vinegar and tartar sauce for authentic fish dip. Wedge of lemon, too! All in a earth-friendly cardboard box. They take credit just fine. Very convenient location at Carts on Foster just down the street from where I was staying. So I walked back and enjoyed there. If you're staying you could probably cruise over to any local breweries or the bar cart for a beer to complement the fried food. Good time!!!

Teen wanted boba, and we decided to order Mediterranean from this place which also strangely sells boba. Yes, I rewarded the chore avoidance. Sue me. I worked four tens, all week my mental health clients were stressed and distressed, and I was honestly a lump. We both ordered a Moroccan stewed chicken that comes with saffron rice, salad, and three spicy sauces - one yogurt and maybe sumac? , one sriracha, and one yogurt mixed with sriracha maybe? We liked the rice, chicken, salad, and the yogurt sauce. Just ok though. Not omg good. I wish the two other sauces had been in separate containers and not on the rice. My mint and honey tea was fine. Kid's boba was not full. Not because it spilled either, because it was sealed with the boba seal lid thingy. For $6 that was disappointing. The hummus and dolmades plate came with one sad not good pita, ONE, and I think our Uber eats driver flung it out the window like kids used to deliver newspapers from their bikes because yogurt sauce was freaking everywhere. The hummus was not great. Teen ( the dolmades fan) said the grape leaves were good. Probably not a repeat in store. One and done.
