    Alley vibes

Alright. Tucked away in a CUTE alley is this little food truck. It was a quiet Saturday, and it sits by itself between some cute shops. We had NO idea what we were in for but WOW. We had the Xicano cheesesteak, and let me tell you - this was hands down the best rendition of cheesesteak I've ever had. The poblano peppers and the seasonings just brought this sando home. If you're in the area, come try this place!

Fun new find on Division. Chayo will not disappoint! Absolutely delicious Mexican cheesesteak sandwich. Highly recommended. There is seating in the alley for probably five or six groups of folks to enjoy this truck's fare. Order ahead to avoid any waits. So so good.

Wowow, I got a tinga sandwich and it was delicious! Soft bread, tasty chicken. Light but filling. I'm so happy to be able go walk to such good Mexican food. This rivals the Guero torta, as one of the best I've had in Portland.

I've been waiting to try this place since it opened! I had my eyes set on the Ay Chihuahua but after reading a couple articles about this place I decided to try the Hot Oli. Flavor was good, pork loin potentially tasted a little dry, but maybe that's their style? Next time I stop here I definitely want to try that Ay Chihuahua!

This place is excellent - I've come here a few times now and I'm always impressed. Today I ordered the Xicano Cheesesteak and it blew my mind! Carne asada, tons of cheese, poblanos, onions and green peppers made for an amazing combination of flavors, but the addition of the avocado salsa and roasted tomato salsa sends it over the edge. The final element of perfection is the perfectly toasted bread that gives the perfect crunch. Highly recommend!

    Gringa

After striking out at several lunch spots along SE Division that are closed for lunch on Wednesdays, I lucked out and came upon this food cart. I ordered the Gringa with carne asada, and OH MY GOODNESS, so incredibly tasty. I wish it came with some chips and salsa, but oh well. Excellent service as well. Cannot wait to go back and try some other items on the menu.

Awesome! Visiting from out of town and knew we needed to try a food truck in Portland. Glad it was this one! Get the Chicano cheesesteak. You won't be sorry!

So so delicious... We ordered both, split them and practically inhaled the food... so delicious I would have a hard time choosing just one item from the menu. Fresh ingredients friendly service and clean outdoor seating.

    Chicano cheesesteak

One of the best food trucks in Portland. The Chicano cheesesteak sandwich is my favorite and the gringa is delicious

    Closing for the winter notice

Recently on The Oregonian list of 10 best new food carts and deservedly so. Featuring the "gringa". Go soon, they close for the winter. Last day November 5th, back in April 2023.

This new cart is just what we needed! It opened at the end of the pandemic and it felt like the clouds parted the same day. We've been several times now and have tried everything. It's all delicious and they have veggie and GF options. My favorite so far is the Gringa. The flavors are so good and our 9-yr old loves it too! Go there!!

It is the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable settling into. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind, and the service was genuinely great throughout. We ordered the Quekas with vegan chorizo and black beans and they were SO good, honestly a standout. The chips and guac were also a hit, and I loved that the guac was actually cold. Such a small detail that makes a big difference. The Citrus Salad was super fresh, crisp, and delicious, which balanced everything out perfectly. I also tried the NA classic margarita and it was so refreshing. I loved the subtle touch of orange juice. Overall, such a lovely spot with amazing food, great vibes, and thoughtful details. Today my wife and I enjoyed scrumptious Tacotes, one chicken and one Bok Choy with house made salsa. Also, the Tetela de Requeson, maiz, beans and sprouting broccoli with a house made requeson - kind of like ricotta cheese - very beautifully plated and so delicious. Extra side of yummy and creamy black bean frijoles with sour cream, butter, tortillas. Instead of desert, the Mezcal, chile and lime was refreshing. Right now open for lunch Thursday through Sunday 10-3pm. No fixed menu, changes with what's fresh - the way chef Angel loves to cook respecting what is in season. Yes, the food plated looks so good, I am inspired to dig in. There's a reason it was recognized early in its start by Eater, Portland Monthly and the Oregonian as one of the best restaurants in the city because foodies seek out and love to go where the food experience is special - especially the chef tasting menus in the past.
